  1. and are still not displaying correctly for me ..........not complaining just commenting They work fine for me at home, work and iPhone. Must be a browser thing your end
  2. Mitz sent me the megs version, it's brill. Also means you dont apply too much!
  3. Yup, the admins have been filddling
  4. Dont they have the gaskets moulded in somehow? As when they used normal gaskets they quite often had leaks? Moulding them in elimited a lot of them I believe, sure I remember reading that on my350z a few years ago. As Alex said, if it were that easy, he and every other engineer out there could make them
  5. True, but at least when the PC breaks I know I can fiddle with it and make it work. If the OEM satnav goes mad, I'll have to take it back all the time. But it should be a lot more robust to start with I guess
  6. I got a Nilfisk ALTO C120 from Screwfix yesterday and foam lance from Matt@i4detailing, was great fun foaming the Ibiza as a test drive for it From what I gather its flowrate that makes the big difference with foam, and this little thing kicks out 500l/ph which you need to spend far more to get from a Karcher. Also got loads of Dodo bits and bobs, neighbours think I'm sponsored by them now. More great service from Matt, got a little extra pressie and of course bubblegum, all good with his dicount for the club
  7. cheers so i shudnt be needing 1 for a while , they dont need serviced much compared to other sports cars then As Gervais said, 1yr or 9k miles, whichever is sooner. It doesnt need to be done as much as turbo cars as its a lot less complicated and oil temps stay a lot lower so oil doesnt break down as quickly. Some people still do intermediate services ever 4.5k miles just doing the oil and filter - maybe thats whats been done with yours?
  8. A club day would be great. Shame my mate Ben in his Evo wouldnt be able to come too, its too noisy for there now
  9. Thanks for the explaination Pippa, just a shame it clashes, didnt remember seeing the dates for JTS in the discussion we had when deciding the Wales date. Everything is arranged now and hotels are booked up so too late to change
  10. Happy Birthday matey
  11. One word - awesome of your own at 12.05 are you trying for the role of spam king keith? Forum glitch me thinks..... Just happened to me 3 times! If you have times and dates of the glitch we can look into it. Usually its a dodgy internet connection at the users end, as Martin will testify on his USB dongle! Raise a new thread in the Site Suggestions & Feedback section.
  12. Its lovely He almost had to kick me out of it when I had a play in it
  13. Oh and we need IT types down here. Still plenty of work, not that you'd want to look at the thinky or you might find a job you like. http://www.seek.co.nz. Your lil' lady would love NZ. I'm sure she would, so would I The problem with my job is its working with a very niche software which is very expensive to buy, so pretty much the only people that use it is big mobile telecoms companies, banks and credit card firms. No real demand for it outside of the UK and US, but it is moving around the world, even in the UK the only jobs for it are in London except for major telecoms companies outside of London (O2, Voda, Orange). There were some jobs in Oz not long back but the day rate isnt anything near what I get here
  14. Colin, it will fit the RHD model so no more excuses I'll let Colin go first then
  15. Update - pic of their test mule, its on a 7AT G37 but has been designed to fit a 370z too. Will pose the question of RHD to them. Not quite as pretty as I expected it to be, but this is their test mule. They will release it with a new engine cover to tidy things up. Good news for me, the 7AT handles the extra power easily apparently
  16. Going by the fact that you dont want a German car, I'd say you're not in their new target demographic, they are after the people after those cars named above
  17. Kevin Plenty of information around on the forum, use the Advanced Search on the top right of the screen to find what you are looking for, or post up a thread if you can not find it
  18. Yeah, get the whole wheel done, if you really want to get rid of the lip. Its just my personal opinion of having stuff like that done before, I would get the whole thing done, otherwise the finish just isnt up to the abuse that wheels take. I had my wheels wet painted before and it didnt take long for stone chips to get in and the paint started flaking off, and its gutting when it happens as you litterally just threw money away. Got them PC'd and the finish is much harder wearing. What I would be cautious of is saving a couple of hundred quid now, and end up spending it later. Another thing to watch is that the finish on Rotas in general isnt the greatest wearing, mine have lasted way way better since my local wheel place PC'd them
  19. It does it now and again, there is a conflict between the touch screen USB mouse and the GPS. For some reason xport can still pick up its a GPS reciever, but the apps connected to it cant, so I guess its xport screwing something up now and again. Normally it screws the GPS COM port, so have to power it off, remove the USBs, power back up, insert them one by one, GPS will show up on a different COM, then have to change xport to the new COM, and also the 2 that it replicates to, finally change any apps that run off them to point to their new ports. One final reboot releases the original ports and all sorted! Its a right faff, but weirdly only happes maybe twice a year.
  20. I'll let you tell Dave that We worked damn hard to pick a date that didnt clash with anything, so would assume that JTS announced the date very late on JTS is usually end of May (like last weekend) or start of June.
  21. You could key, mask and paint, but the finish wont be anywhere near as durable as a proper powdercoated finish, and you may not get a colour match. Personally, I would spend an extra couple of hundred quid (or less) getting them powdercoated professionally, but then they might not appear as good a deal. From what I've learnt modifying my Zed, what might seem a simple DIY when painting/trimming/etc, you are quickly dissapointed in your own work when it starts to flake/fade etc as its not a professional job no matter how good it looks to start with. Thats my unbias view of it
  22. Very dodgy. Electrics isnt my strong point, so I'll let the other resident experts help you with that
  23. Aye, not good Still ITST is down at Silverstone this year, will likely do that instead
  24. Will be good to see it up and running. My GPS mouse has decided to tell Windows its not a GPS mouse at all, so not working atm Need to do a proper power down and reboot it, but thats easier said than done where its mounted, and the weather is pap
  25. Very odd one. Could you hear the motor going? I had a problem after some cold weather where the bolt had worked its way back slightly on my drivers wiper and it would be intermittent. Just needed torquing back up onto the spindle and it was fine. I could hear the motor trying to drive it still though. See if you can move the arms on the spindle when the car is parked up. Other option I guess is a loose connection somwhere
