  1. Over to you then - always good when a volunteer steps forward Run man, run!
  2. And we had a great pitch last year, right by the track, getting loads of attention!
  3. But it smells so good, you want to eat it
  4. Just remember not to put it anywhere you need to grip Stew, like around the tank, otherwise you might get a shock when you hit a nice bend and you slide off
  5. Hi mate, was using a little orange circular foam pad that came with it. Do you find the damp cloth works well? That's how your supposed to apply wax with the foam applicator, warming the wax before hand makes it easier to apply.I have never heard of using a damp cloth to apply wax. Depends on the wax. A "proper" wax like Dodo needs to be applied via MF or foam pad (dry bar wax). Some of the other brands need to be applied with a damp cloth. Best to follow the manufacturers instructions
  6. Its all about applying it thinly. Apply via microfibre applicator, nice and thin and you can leave it to set as hard as you like and it will buff off. Anything over 10 mins has diminishing returns, the only reason the detailler left it longer on Martins was because he was doing the wheels and wheel arches in the mean time. Dodo SN is pretty amazing stuff. I never beleived it when I was told it would make the flake pop more, but it does and it works. Martin and Chris were both converts as soon as it was done. Red Mist had a staggering effect on Martins, giving it a much glossier look. Also remember with Dodo SN, being carnbuba, it will give off oils in the heat as it cures, even after you buff off the most of it. So sometimes you need to go over it again with a MF cloth shortly after and it brings it up really nice. Or go over with Red Mist which mops it up
  7. When using a new wax, always test a panel first. Different waxes take different times to cure, and even the same wax can take different times depending on heat. Also its a lot about preference. Some like to leave it to set really hard and really cloud over, some prefer to leave it less and still be soft. The main thing is to apply it as thinly as possible, and layer it, rather than do one single thick coating. Give it some more practice (out of the sun) and you'll soon find the happy medium. If you leave it too long, just mist it down with QD and it should come off
  8. Yes it should be noted that the other 95+% of members that attended drove in a considerate, safe and fun manner and did the club proud, especially the looks and thumbs up we got from passers by. So well done to all those that did listen and still managed to have fun
  9. +1 - have had my pot for about 2yrs now I think and I'm only 1/2 way through it! Expensive, yes, but it lasts way longer than most waxes
  10. As I understand it the WAGs have requested their own area to arrange their own activities for Wales while we go driving
  11. Ah but can you see whats changed?
  12. A massive +1 to all the points above. We thought people might have learnt their lessons last year with the unfortunate ending, but even with that and the briefings, we still saw silly driving. I personally didnt see any silly driving (even with Bennet in front ), but fully support the actions taken as we dont want to have to pick up the pieces if anything happens. Keep the seriously fast driving for the track/airfield
  13. To be fair, I think when the numbers have been stated, its been a case of an 06+ airbox with performance filter will give you a few HP over the standard pre-06 box. Most likely mainly from a clean free flowing filter and a little bit from the intake
  14. Lovely job Tim (again ) Martin has finally succomed to the dark side and has pledged his alligence to Dodo SN I did try to tell him before - you need to see it to believe it - which he did at Wales
  15. On the wonder phone ATM, will change the sig when I get home
