Wouldnt use this one - its only for upto 2.5l engines. I beleive they do a bigger one, or some kind of add-on for this for bigger engines - my mate who works at Halfords has one and its far larger than that one EDIT - this is the beastie - http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... 65629#dtab

I just got a Halfords battery for mine, seemed to do the job. Fitting is dead easy too, just get the service manual downloaded and you'll be fine. You have to remove quite a bit of plastic trim around the battery and bottom of the window, but it all slots back together easy enough, just take your time - especially as its cold and the plastic will be brittle.

Well I take back some of that. I got her out today and made it to work, so not all that bad. Yesterday the TCS was going mental on a gritted road, so thought they were pants, but it turns out it was -9C and grit stops working around -10C so it may not have been the tyres fault. Its 0C today and they did pretty good on what bits of snow I had to do. So just stay away from temps lower than -7C and you should be ok

Also get the condition checked by a garage. Dont want it going dead on you again in this weather

Depends on what condition the battery was before you left it. How old is it? The Zed can be quite picky about the battery state, remember you are trying to turn over a 3.5l lump

My 050s seem pretty pants in the snow, thinking of swapping to my Rotas with Falkens on them, I remember the 350z was better in the snow than the 370z appears to be, but nothing major happened touch wood. So just having tyres with lots of tread isnt good enough either, I have about 6mm all round, but the 050's summer compound is just crap in very cold weather.

If they were mandated by the State then you'd have to fit them and if you didnt your insurance would be void

We have sooo many now, I'm really impressed Need to all try and make one show this year to display all of them in a line

Don't know why it did it, but to reset it, using the drivers switches, put the window up, then drop it all the way without using auto drop, then all the way back up and hold it there for five seconds. Should now drop and raise properly when you close the doors. Havent disconnected the battery for anything have you? Only that or removing the door switches should cause the problem you've seen

Remember the engine does move on its mounts slightly, so you cant use all the space between the upper plenum and the strut bar

Personally, I'd give the car a really quick wash, doesnt have to be perfect, but at least you wont get dirt on the inside of the car cover which is the main thing you want to avoid. Once its on the inside of the cover, its very hard to remove and you'll be forever scratching the paint then

I think the conditions for snow are more dependant on temperatures at different altitudes than the outright temp. It needs to be the right temp for the clouds to drop their moisture and also cold on the ground for it to fall as snow rather than rain. Usually when it is too cold to snow, its because cold air doesnt hold enough moisture to form clouds that have enough moisture to form snow, or at higher altitudes it may not be cold enough to condense the moisture, so it stays as coulds

I didnt need to top up at all until about 70k miles, then it needed ~0.5 litre between services. Very good for oil consumption
