    any advice?

OK??? It's brilliant, even when driving sensibly.
  2. I referred earlier to the story in last week's Autocar. They headed it "Nissan's Brit-built MX-5 is go", and featured a picture of the Urge concept car. They claim that it will become a production reality. To quote them - "It weighs 1100 kg, has a 2.0 litre engine driving the rear wheels and there are holes in the doors. ... the Urge feels like it's going to be a lot of fun. ....it's stable and agile. ....We particularly liked the snug cockpit-style interior, with its high centre console. Nissan needed to build it."

    Length?

If you are worried about it why not leave it with the importer for another week?
  4. jim

    Length?

    14.1404 feet, to be precise.

    Length?

I was wondering that too, when I saw the title. I think the length is correct at 4310mm.
  6. Re-absorbed, and used to produce new brain cells. So you get even smarter.
  7. Does this mean he has chosen a pink one?
  8. A pal of mine had it done many years ago, but he had to have a general anaesthetic. During the his pre-op consultation, when the doctor (female) was describing exactly what the operation entailed, he fainted! Mind you, he still went ahead with it.
  9. Goes without saying - he's Scottish. Oh, and the anaesthetic doesn't hurt.
  10. Autocar ran a story last week which claimed that Nissan were planning to produce an MX5 rival, based on the Urge concept car shown at Detroit last year. It was shorter that the Z, but with the same wheelbase, and used a 2.0 litre engine to drive the rear wheels.
  11. Check out Opie Oils latest offer - I think they were throwing in an extra litre (for top-ups) with every 5 litres sold. I got Silkolene from them recently.
  12. Thanks, Tim. I tend to agree with you - I am unlikely to ever use the car on a track, and don't ever feel that the standard brakes are not up to normal driving. I'll be interested in hearing how you get on with the replacements.

    Leather Retrim

Any idea where in Scotland yours was done? And do you have pics? (Apologies if you have already posted and I missed the thread)
  14. I haven't a clue what it is, but I am looking forward to seeing the outcome.
  15. Could you do a straight replacement of the non-Brembo disks and pads with a set of Brembo's? Would you have to replace the brake lines as well?
  16. Looks just like mine. I waxed mine (again) on Saturday and I'm scared to take her out of the garage now! Seriously, though, it looks like a great job. Now we can look forward to the renewal of the engine bling competition.
  17. Is there any problem with replacing fronts only? My rears seem to be ok just now.
  18. Possibly, but my domestic bank manager reckons I will need to wait until after we get back from visiting my daughter in Australia in July. Maybe by early August, but that will be too late for you, I suspect. edit - mind you - at these prices????
  19. I've been keeping my eye on this issue, since I reckon I will need front disks and pads fairly soon. I seem to remember that Big Phil was able to supply disks for JDM non Brembo's.
  20. Yes, I told him that myself, Stew. I think he has now found the one he wants in Bradford. Cheers
  21. are you sure about this as i thought it was Kilometers / litre .... and i know it wouldnt makes sense as the digital speedo reads mph but shows kph however im getting a reading of around 10.5k's / litre now if this is in miles ie 10.5 miles to a litre as you say that would mean im getting 45-50mpg?????? on the other hand if it is in kilometers its 28mpg...... It is Kms/litre, and 28mpg sounds about right. See this thread for conversion calculation. http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... highlight=
  22. Marky, I've put a couple of pictures in my gallery, one taken yesterday on my phone, the other taken at a mini meet we had in Stirling last year with Gus and Chris from Funkystyling. They show the front grill reasonable clearly. Hope this helps. Sorry, I've forgotten how to get the pictures into the message.
  23. Thanks, Kev, I'll let him know. I don't think he has tried pistonheads.
