I know you've worked it out for yourself, but for the benefit of other JDM owners, see this thread for conversions. http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... highlight=

    Numberplates

Stew, Have you tried this site? http://www.demonplates.com/platebuilder.php or these - http://www.aplates.com/aplatesshop/default.asp http://www.createyourplate.com
  3. You would have if you had put a big bandage over his nose first!
  4. Rat thing??? Do you mean Meerkat?
  5. I'm really sorry to hear this, and I hope your dog recovers fully. My previous dog had a similar injury and it was very difficult to keep her leg still in order to allow it to heal.
  6. Just after 5.00pm today, between Livingston and Bathgate. I was in the queue approaching the Boghall roundabout. I flashed and waved and the driver waved back!!!!
  7. Great find. Thanks for the heads up.
  8. Now this is proper hard man fighting talk! Aberdeen butteries are notorious - they must contain a million calories and a ton of salt. One is enough, more than three is an instant heart attack! PS I'm still waiting for the cheese board and some more red wine.
  9. +1 +2.. got my hopes up +3 Clicked on it straight away.
  10. The wonders of modern technology!
  11. For that sort of price, you can pick up a good CRV or RAV4. Either will make an excellent dog carrier.
  12. I thought that this type of repair was being used less frequently now. As far as I know, it is done to prolong the life of the road surface so as to reduce overall maintenance costs. It seems to consist of spreading a thin layer of molten tar over the road then scattering stone chips across it and letting the tar set with the stones embedded. As you have discovered, they don't all stick and large quantities of loose gravel end up being cleared by vehicles using the road. I know a number of people who have had various types of damage caused by this practice. It's not helped by the fact that there is usually some @rse who thinks the recommended very low speed limit applied in these circumstances does not apply to him! In my opinion, this shoddy form of road maintenance is dangerous and costly to many motorists and should be banned. The Highways Agency and local councils should be forced to make proper repairs and maintain all roads properly. After all, we all pay more than enough every year for our road fund licence - I thought this was supposed to be used to fund road maintenance.

    EBC Pads WARNING!!!!

Dont worry about the EBC's Jim ..I have them fitted for 18 months now and done a Silverstone session as well..no probs at all.. very impressed with them..also less dust than the OEM items..I certainly would fit them again (in fact I have a set ready on the shelf to go in for next time ) Thanks for the reassurance, Tim. I'll reserve judgement for a while yet, then.

    EBC Pads WARNING!!!!

I'm really disappointed to read all these critical comments about EBC pads. I chose to put RedStuff pads on mine after considering lots of previous posts on this forum from people who recommended them above the OEM pads. Either they have changed their minds very quickly or they chose to remain silent when others were posting positive views about them. I am now concerned that I have made the wrong decision and may come to regret it in a few thousand miles.
  15. DE= old engine 276/296 bhp HR= new engine 309 bhp I made my own grounding cables. 25mm multistrand copper cable with crimped cable lugs. Easy when you are a sparky. Thanks for the explanation. I knew there was an older and a newer engine, but I had not heard those terms used to describe them.
  16. DE? HR? How do you know what you've got? PS Anybody know if Spill is still selling these kits?
  17. Now that would be a miracle. It's often said that we Scots wouldn't bother going abroad if Scotland had a roof over it! We'd still have midges, though. Great pics again Adam.
  18. Many congratulations, Phil. Hope both are well.
  19. I had a similar problem and searched for ages for a fix. I even tried spraying light oil on every metal joint under there, but to no avail. Eventually I discovered that if I move the seat belt buckle a bit forward, the noise disappears!
  20. I was going to answer that one but thought better of it!
  21. Sorry - not my scene. Lots of boy racers and too much interest by the police.
  22. Caption competition? He certainly looks smug! PS 1500 posts - Edit - now I feel embarrassed - it's so sad to get excited about that, isn't it.
