  1. Looks like it was great day, guys. Enjoyed the pics so far but we need some more.
  2. Not in my experience. I'm paying less now for my Z than I did 3 years ago for a Honda Prelude. Thats because your old Cheeky b****r. But it's true.

  4. Looks like you are going to get good weather for the weekend, guys. I hope you all have a really great time and I look forward to seeing lots of stunning photos. (Wish I could join you but there are no seats in my car at the moment!)

    Bose Sub cover

    Thanks, Andy - PM sent.

    Bose Sub cover

Does that mean that you could get a passenger side cubby door from Nissan and fit it to the driver's side on cars (like mine) that don't have a sub, thus creating another accessible storage space? Correct, I have done it myself Great - any idea how much it costs?

  8. Safest to disconnect the battery, leave it for 30mins to fully discharge the system. Thanks Phil - will do. Edit - just remembered that Tim gave me that very advice a couple of months ago. Age doesn't come itself!
  9. Sorry to go OT, but I am just about to get my seats trimmed, and I was wondering whether or not you need to disconnect the battery before removing the seats in case of airbag light issues, or just make sure the ignition remains off while the seats are disconnected. Anybody know what to do?
  10. Apologies if this is a repost, but I quite enjoyed some of these. Remember it takes a college degree to fly a plane, but only a high school diploma to fix one. After every flight, UPS pilots fill out a form, called a 'gripe sheet,' which tells mechanics about problems with the aircraft. The mechanics correct the problems, document their repairs on the form, and then pilots review the gripe sheets before the next flight. Never let it be said that ground crews, though they may lack a formal higher education, have ever lacked a sense of humour. Here are some actual maintenance complaints submitted by UPS pilots (marked with a P) and the solutions recorded (marked with an S) by maintenance engineers. By the way, UPS is the only major airline that has never, ever, had an accident. P: Left inside main tyre almost needs replacement. S: Almost replaced left inside main tyre. * P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough. S: Probably because auto-land is not installed on this aircraft. * P: Something loose in cockpit S: Something tightened in cockpit * P: Dead bugs on windshield. S: Live bugs on back-order. * P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode has a 200 ft. per min. descent. S: Cannot reproduce problem on ground. * P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear. S: Evidence removed. * P: DME volume unbelievably loud. S: DME volume set to more believable level. * P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick. S: That's what friction locks are for. * P: IFF inoperative in OFF mode. S: IFF IS inoperative in OFF mode. * P: Suspected crack in windshield. S: Suspect you're right. * P: Number 3 engine missing. S: Engine found on right wing after brief search. * PS: Aircraft acting funny S: Aircraft warned to straighten up, fly right and be serious. * P: Target radar hums. S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics. * P: Mouse in cockpit. S: Cat installed. * And the best one for last * P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like midget pounding on something with a hammer. S: Took hammer away from midget.
  11. Why not try a trunk monkey?
  12. I'm guessing that means more than just replacing the transmission oil. What else does it entail?
  13. Back OT. Eventually used system restore and everything seems to be fine now. I can live without SP3.
  14. I'm really sorry to hear this, Andy, but I'm equally glad that you are OK, at least physically. As you say, I do hope they catch the b*****ds and they get an appropriate punishment (though I have my doubts about that).
  15. Had a couple of dents on my passenger door for some time, so eventually phoned Chipsaway last week to get an estimate. The local agent came round today, looked at the job and said, "You do realise that the guy who does this work for us lives round the corner from you?" I didn't of course, but he phoned him anyway and arranged for him to look in on me on his way home. He took out the two dents straight away and only charged £45 for the job. Result! Now I just need to find someone to do my leather seats re-trim at a reasonable cost!

    Cubby hole flap

Chris at JDM Performance used to supply a set of self adhesive aluminium effect decals for the air vents, sunglasses holder and the cubby. Maybe worth a try before you commit to paint.
  17. OK. Tried un-installing and re-installing the D-Link driver for my wireless adapter, but the problem is still there. Not sure what to do now, since I found it very confusing trying to understand the links in previous posts to the advice on cleaning up the registry etc.
  18. Yes - was that not a good idea?
  19. Yes - I don't mind not seeing the icon on the status bar, but I do need to get rid of the error messages.
  20. Looks like the service pack upgrade has removed the .dll files for my D-link wireless modem. It still works, in that I am still getting internet access, but the icon in the status bar has disappeared and I get the same error message when I try to load the software for it from the desktop icon. Looks like I will have to re-install the software?
