  1. You won't be injecting any drugs in the car then - isn't this what the supermarkets do in their loos as apparently you can't see your veins under blue light. Useful fact #5428
  2. Always thought they were the car phone mics
  3. It just want to know what it's been detailed with and/or what filter is on the pictures . In my sad moments () it is interesting to compare Top Gear tests (with camera filters) versus Stig's lap (sans filters). Amazing difference and just goes to show unless you see a car in the flesh it is difficult to judge colour. BTW Santa bought me some Dodo Juice (Orange Crush of course) and it is

    Dummy pipe bodge job
  5. Fifth gear is 90% tosh, but Tiff certainly can drive
  6. Great pic. I'd like to see it pre filters and photoshop
  7. Christ - Belgium's a long way to drive every night to mini cab in the West End
  8. Got to be stubby. The standard aerial looks like it comes from an 1991 Nissan Bluebird Also less likely to get snapped off by some oik.
  9. I was a big Alfa fan (75, 155, etc) before the Z and I could be quite tempted by a Brera if it wasn't for that ugly 3/4 rear angle. Could be tempted by an 8C though http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/car/1728/Alfa-Romeo-8C-Competizione.html [/url]
  10. Gotta be worth a trawl around the bargain bin in HMV for a fiver. You are right though, the original film had a great sound track. Their backing band was a who's who of 60s and 70s Stax, etc house bands and tight as as duck's wassname. Just look up Steve Cropper or Donald 'Duck' Dunn on t'internet to see the epic songs they played on. BB 2000 was s stinker IMO
  11. Ha. Me too!!! I think I need a lie down now
  12. I have a 110 mile round trip commute and with holidays and business trips taken in to account I end up around 25k pa. I bought a Gunmetal '55 Z in Sept 05 and changed it last Sept for a spankers TO '57. Returns on average around 28mpg during the week with new tyres every 10-11 months. To be honest I don't see the point in having a decent car and using it only when the temperature goes above 20 degress. Mind you, you should see the state of it at the moment after the ice and crap Yes, it will get stone chipped to buggery, but a bumper respray is ~£300. You'll also find that the fronts of the the rear wheel arches get chipped too. I had paintshield on my '55 and it was really great, but now too expensive and too few dealers IMO. My advice would be to got for it - well, what did you expect
  13. +1 (but it's close....Bernard Manning and the ABC )
  14. Yep, a good set of pics even if I didn't make it

They don't You need to add 8%-10% state sales tax to that number, but even at $80k level it still looks cheap. As has been said many, many times before on here "those damn yanks don't pay sh*t for nuthin"
  16. B*gger Let the wife borrow the car for two days when I was away on business and now find after yesterday's cleaning that I have a 10" long screen vertically down the windscreen. Pretty shallow, but a finger nail finds it and it is visible. Luckily it is just outside the swept area of the wiper. Now the only thing I can think of is that I came from the ice scaper she used on these cold mornings. Do you really think that a scraper can mark the glass to this extent and what the hell am I going to do??? Fed up
  17. I'll ignore the fact that you've paid £5k less than I paid in Sept for my new MY 07 less the Sat Nav
  18. pardon I can see the mistake you are making --- you're supposed to drive at no more than 10mph and then it works fine With Apple's track record nothing would surprise me about some proprietary feature of their Bluetooth implementation
  19. Spill's kit is really neat, but if I was 100% honest then I don't think there was a noticeable difference on my MY04. When you look at how crap some of the OEM cables are though it's a surprise the electrics work at all
  20. Spent ~£300 on a bumper and mirrors kit in 2005 for my MY04 and to honest it was great, especially as I did/still do loads of motorway miles. Equivalent price for my MY07 was over £400 and apparently QC issues with the reseller/fitter networks means you've got to drive to Grantham so I've not had it done. Can wait for the paintshop to have a crack at the TO in about 18 months time If it was a bit cheaper and the reseller network was more local I'd have no hestitation. Auto Asylum in Maidenhead did mine in 2005 and it was
  21. Hmm, there's a word for this that starts "an" and ends "al"
  22. http://www.boreme.com/boreme/funny-2007 ... nce-p1.php
  23. Hmm, not so sure. The $27,980 starting price buys you not a lot (e.g. Brembo brakes anybody?) and then you've got the whole market dynamics thing in the US where "everything is cheaper". Still doesn't excuse build quality IMO
  24. Hmm, so what is the consensus on the root cause of Nissan's "quality" issues? 1. Quality of materials 2. Design (or lack of it) 3. Shoddy workmanship 4. All of the above ( ) I don't want to pay porker or Audi prices, but if Toyota/Lexus can bolt stuff together properly there really is no excuse for Nissan. Personally, I think that the French influence is (sadly) starting to grow
