  1. Think of it as God telling you to give up golf
  2. Not sure about the JDM models and you may have already done this, but on the UK cars the support for the top of the seat belt is on a ratchet and moves up/down through ~30 degrees. Move it to its lowest position - worked for my wife.
  3. Really doubt 40+ mpg. I get around 29-30 on my daily work run (10 miles in town and 45 miles motorway) at a lazy "near limit" mph. Never seen more than 35mpg and that was in a long section of flat 50mph limit on the M4 in 4th/5th. The economy was worse at the same speed in 6th which is down to the engine not operating in an efficient range. Got that drive to work is boring
  4. Cheers - good engine bay pic and as its clearly totally different I guess my grounding kit will be on here for sale soon. Gotta love the 2 intakes.
  5. Given that the 07 MY has a new block does anybody know if (Spill's) grounding kit (connector positions, wire lengths, etc) will fit an 07 MY? Need to know if it is worth removing it before the new car arrives.
  6. Look, stop it - only post to this thread if you really like orange or my paranoia will kill me
  7. I'm good with the colour, but a bit nervous on residuals. Also tempted when they say "you can have a Chili Pepper tomorrow" I guess (like UY) it is going to be a bit of a Marmite colour. Got to hope that there are a few like minded people around when I come to sell it. Oh, and looking forward to the abuse on here too
  8. ...suggesting it might be more Tango than Lambo????
  9. Well, finally ordered my new '07 GT Coupe today Decided against the Temper + Alezan so have go to wait until September for the Temper + Charcoal leather build slot. At least is will be '57 so will help the residuals. Dealer reckons I should put my private plate on retention as it could take them up to 6 weeks to sort this out on the trade in. Sounds crazy to me. Counting the days....
  10. I wanted charcoal leather but that would mean waiting until October and I just can't - sad or just Zed addicted, you decide
  11. So I thought it was time to jump in and trade my Gunmetal '55 GT for a new Temper Orange '07 GT model. Dealer has offered £16,625 for mine with 34k on the clock and made all sorts of "don't let it hit 40k or the residual will drop" noises. Does this sound like a reasonable deal or should I pitch it privately? I've definitely got itchy fingers (or should that be wallet) as the '07 could be on my drive next weekend. Lastly, is Temper + Alezan too much?? Would value any thoughts.
  12. You should worry. Took the trail bike in for its MOT today and they gave me a Piaggio MP3 loaner Odd, odder and oddest.....

    Am I mad?

Buy the zed, but 10:1 you'll be driven mad by the cr*p build quality.
  14. Did Ford order too much Focus ST paint then
  15. Hmm, depends on your budget and where you plan to go afterwards. Top 5 for me at the moment (in no particular order). 1. Racine - french bistro, small + busy, great food (opp. V&A) 2. Nobu - still fantastic, but of course pricey and murder to get a table (Park Lane) 3. The Orrery - best Conran restaurant and Marleybone Village is good fun (Marleybone High St) 4. Axis or Indigo at One Aldwych - great location, fantastic lobby bar and really central (Aldwych) 5. Tuttons - cheap and cheerful, but food is reliable (Covent Garden)
  16. Hmm, interesting choices. I almost went for an S4R myself recently, but the servicing and reliability put me off. Personally I think that the Tuono looks too much like a bitsa (bronze frame ) and whilst the water-cooled Desmo is nowhere near as neat as the air/oil cooled one I'd have to go for the Duke. Slight reservation is that you get the "I own a Ducati" image which is about as flattering as owning an R1150GS with all of the Ewan McGregor w*nk regalia. Have you looked at the new Triumph 1150 Speed Triple. I test rode one and nearly wept. Full on engine with a nice balance between a twin and a four. If they weren't so damn ugly at the back I could be tempted. Have fun
  17. Ha! "4 full seats" goes the ad. Midgets only need apply for the back! I wonder what it's like in the back at 300 km/h???
  18. Something about the Z makes it really poor for cracked screens. I've done the same journey to work for 10 years with a variety of cars and the Z is the only car to suffer - 2 new screens in 18 months
  19. A small prize to the first person to get a Nissan dealer to own up to knowing anything about it
  20. ...gulp - where do I get a "Clare" from
  21. The sound you can hear is the entire Z design team turning in their grave. Yuk! Very personal thing, but anything carbon other than a bonnet is too chavvy for me.
  22. Of course this month's Q has ruined it for all us diehard Magazine/Buzzcocks fans but bigging-up the 4 Magazine albums. "I was shocked to find what was allowed....."
  23. Just to get this thread back on track.... I've got stains/marks (no sniggering at the back) on my driver's seat that look like they are from from the leather belt on my trousers. I've tried getting these off with various so-called leather cleaning products but without success. Anybody got any ideas??? (other than don't wear a belt when driving)
  24. You forgot about the steam of water from the rear washer pivot. I also like the fact that after it has been raining water pours on to your shoes when you open the doors
