  1. Agreed, but only in some lights and at least it's different to the Focus, Punto or Lambo tangerine
  2. Yes, I've been playing too. Too many options and too distracting for me. I spend all my time watching the fuel consumption gauge! Is it the same on the Z version? I guess it isn't fully integrated in to the head unit for radio/CDs/etc like in the Navara???
  3. Motorways average ~28mpg - amazing close to the Z actually. Not bad on runs, but a bit bouncy as you might expect. This one has all the toys (leather, sat nav, cruise control, etc) that makes it easier to get on with. Tons of torque (+400Nm) which means it pulls like a train empty. Not exactly a runabout. I think I'd opt for something smaller/cheaper. Regarding the Temper Orange I think I've heard just about every story now. Wrong paint, wrong code, wrong thinners, etc, etc. Should get it back next Tuesday all being well.

    TVR and tree

At least the smell of sap will mask the smell of fibreglass
  5. So, dropped the Z in AGAIN on Tuesday to get the paint on the parking sensors and washer covers sorted. Tell dealer "don't go giving me no 1.0 Micra for my 110 mile daily round trip. So what did I get... Navara 2.5d twin-cab pick-up!!! Entertaining for about an hour and not half bad considering it's +2.5 tonnes. Only wishing I had some cr*p to shift from the garden. On a more positive note I hit a pheasant on the M4 this morning at "a reasonable lick". Glad it wasn't the Z or it would have been through the windscreen. Ho, hum. Z is back tomorrow, but still not painted
  6. You may not like him (and I don't) but he can sure drive. Who else would Bugatti let loose with their pride and joy on a track???
  7. There is definitely a big improvement on the 07 model. It has more of a basketball texture and already looks like it will last longer. Previous 05 model alezan was pretty poor tba.
  8. Yeah, but where can you get Temper Orange? Local dealer says no, but courtesyparts.com in the US has it but want $40 to post
  9. What about your washer jet covers? Are they a good match to the bumper too? I guess the whole lot got resprayed when the kit went on.
  10. Looks like it connect with a male 3.5mm mini aux jack which as well as know the h/u unit doesn't have. Back to the drawing board
  11. Dumb question time. Is the '07 US "Solar" orange exactly the same as the '07 UK "Temper"??? The codes (A53) are the same, but given the problems I've had I'm getting paranoid. Cheers Keith
  12. Apparently none available for Temper either. At least I now know why they called it that colour
  13. I want your dealer to talk to mine about paint codes. The parking sensors have been painted twice and they are still a shocking match so needs to go back a third time. By the way, Temper is the new Kuro
  14. Nah, just leave the 'phone in the dock and redirect incoming calls with a profile on your "real" 'phone. Outgoing calls are simple - don't make them!!!
  15. Much cheaper to buy my non-Bluetooth one from the For Sale forum and buy a cheapo phone to leave in the car
  16. Meethinks this seller has been to Hong Kong recently 100% fake. Note how he has cunningly obscured the back of the watch in the pictures. Tut, tut, tut
  17. not quite on topic, but for what it's worth here are my 05 vs 07 comparisons 10 days into ownership (excluding all the usual things you can read about in the brochure): * 280 vs 313 is v.noticeable even when running in and much smoother * nicer sound (can't quite describe how though) * no tramlining (probably RE050s over RE040s though) * 2 (count them) cold(ish) air intakes * illuminated cruise control/phone/ignition * better leather on the seats * stupid cup holder has morphed in to a coin tray * soft trimmed arm rests and illuminated cup holder * black background to radio display (wow!) * non-wobbly 'phone mics * massively improved centre consol, cubby holes, heater switches * annoying audible seat belt warning And the still no better list: * rattle, rattle, rattle.... * fit of fuel filler cover * hunting on a closed throttle at low revs (emissions???) * shocking colour mismatch on washer covers
  18. Saw TU55 POT on a 4x4 the other day - nearly p*ssed myself laughing
  19. Squint and you can see a Lexus SC430
  20. To be honest I really like it - just as well really having just spent £30k!!! The water based paint plus Nissan's "paint challenges" and the actual composition of the paint can make it look different colours from almost every angle. Sometimes the light catches adjacent panels and it looks like a mismatch. Strong direct sun light makes it look fan-bleedin-tastic. Provided Nissan can sort out the washer covers I'll be happy, but I'd hate to need a panel respraying in the future. Under the rear carpet it looks more beige than orange
  21. Judging by the cr*p paint on the Zed this technique would probably reduce the whole car to bare metal
  22. Thought I'd post some better pics seeing as it's 1st Sept and I've finally got my paws on her. Got to go back to the paint shop though as the washer covers are a completely different colour to the bumper. You should have seen the parking sensors So say matched with a Nissan colour code they came out the colour of a Caramac bar Needless to say they didn't get fitted. First impressions are of a much smoother drive with some neat improvements over the previous model. Will need to wait until its run in properly though [/img]
