  1. yeh i keep hearing that, is there anything i need to do to push that? and how near to the end of month should i be popping into the dealers? No harm in making a few visits to suss out which dealer could be up for deal - take the opportunity to test drive if you can. If you let them know you have cash burning a hole in your pocket but you are shopping around - leave a telphone number and see who starts chasing. But do show you know what you are talking about (your post count indicates you will probably know more about ZEDS than most salesman, although they could probably walk rings round you about Micra specs Phoning around might also reveal a great deal - seeing some of the price drops at the moment it might well be worth making a deal much further afield than you might normally travel
  2. Good on you Nixy - are we allowed to shake your hand or do we just bow quietly
  3. Best trying towards the end of the month - dealers will be biting your hands off then both in terms of cash flow and meeting targets.

    350Z

I'm sorry but that whole sentence is incorrect. 06 or later non GT car do NOT have anything that pre 06 GT cars have. xenon lights, bluetooth and steering wheel controls are standard on all uk cars. Rays and LED rear lights have nothing to do with the car being GT or non GT. Not quite Sarnie. You forgot that roadsters do not have the bluetooth/phone controls and the headlights for the facelift 06 models are bi-xenon - a big improvement oven the standard xenon type. Here's the 'official' summary of the difference between the Non GT and the GT (taken from Nissan's brochure for the 06 facelift models). Remember also that pre-facelift cars were still being unloaded from dealers into the latter part of 2006. "NISSAN 350Z Grades & equipment AVAILABLE GRADES Grade : 350Z The 350Z is a perfect blend of style and performance with a high standard of features. From £26,495 Grade : 350Z with GT Pack The 350Z with GT Pack adds a premium BOSE audio system, cruise control and heated and electric charcoal leather seats. From £28,995" Certainly all facelift 06+ models had the Rays and LEDS as standard. As for the audio the brochure says: BOSE 240W Audio You wont find a sound system like this anywhere else. BOSE engineers have custom deigned the 350Zs audio for the cars unique acoustics. Available on the 350Z with GT Pack, the BOSE audio features the Audiopilot system that monitors noise inside the cabin and adapts the bass and treble accordingly. Seven speakers are strategically placed, including the 10" subwoofer behind the drivers seat. Hmmmm.... not sure most would agree about the quality of the Bose but I much prefer it off and listen to the sound the car makes itself - that's one of the reasons for buying a ZED, not to have music drowning a better sound. Only switch on the audio when there is a need to drown out other worse noises that sometimes reverberate round the cabin like slow and down
  5. You are supposed to say the 53 plate looks the business but I guess Mark has let you off this time
  6. Hi Craig You can find my opinions on the 276 & 296 on page 2 this thread: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... sc&start=0 At the end of the day it is how much money you want to spend and if you were into modding then buying a 276 for less money and spending the rest of your cash on mods of your choice is a good option. I mention that as so many say they will be keeping the car standard and then the bug steps in. Good luck
  7. Using the 'back arrow' immediately after submitting your post and before it has appeared on the forum will lead to double posts, and possibly before exiting that thread if you choose to check your posting, as I eventually worked out having got caught out several times I just wait for the post to appear on the thread and then click on 'view unread posts' (or anything else on the site) which advoids the double posting................which so far has avoided the double posting problem
  8. I've been getting worried about my eyesight but now I am more concerned about yours
  9. They haven't for a while. It was a joint meet with some bikers and some Smart cars but it has died off over the winter. There are a few of us this way now though, Rob down in Brighton and Mark aka 3Fiddy is close as well so we could start something afresh in the next few months in the Sussex area Always enjoy a blast down the A24 so I would be up for a meet Sussex way
  10. Yep A couple of pics on Stews 'scenic' route north of Applecross
  11. Tell me about it Was great because the roads were empty...............thats my excuse any way. Was a close shave though. Must have looked mental from the side of the road as well with the nismo zorst at full song. I was very lucky you could always get your son to move over into the drivers seat as your getting pulled over. It's not like he's driven the car before so he could take the rap Unless it all comes out in the wash and you get rtumbled
  12. +1 The James Martin exploit in the Mille Miglia that followed was a damn sight more interesting even though he broke down on the first leg James Martin is just a spoilt brat who was able to throw hundreds of thousands of pounds at the event and still blew it. I struggled to have any sympathy despite the tears. No disagreement with you there Digsy about the spoit brat - but at least we got to see some decent cars rather than clapped out mopeds with 3 pi$$ed off presenters making idiots of themselves.
  13. .........be careful to run it in before using all that extra power has it has yet to be used

  15. Doesn't the Ebisu have a fleck in it? A bit like UY when you catch it in the right light? The Ebisu fleck (only when the sun comes out )
  16. If the RAC man has said those items are all thats adrift with the car £8.5k sounds a good bargain, as Sarnie says
  17. Thinking of Phil and his family particularly today - it is so sad that such a thing has happened to a really lovely fella, just hope some positives materialize for them all in 2009.
  18. Looks like Chuckie is thinking "Getting me dressed up like this again - bah - I have a good mind to go and pi$$ all over that yellow custard tart out there in the garage" Have a good-un Dave - Merry Christmas
  19. Ditto with me and Amanda I assume if we are aiming for a week long hoon, it will be the week before, culminating in the Hoon or would we do mid-week to mid-week? Dont fancy a drive home the day of the hoon We would either travel on the monday or tuesday Chris and then head back the following monday Sounds like a plan
  20. What would be helpful is to arrange for a couple of Shell V-power tankers parked along the route as Stew does like to test our tank capacity Not that I'm complaining about the route length as the longer the drive the better for me
  21. Ebized

    Mega dish!?

I'd go and see a quack Stew
  22. We will be up for a week or so, just love those highland roads
