  1. Robbing gits OK, so I buy 6 months of tax at £222.75 instead of £405.00 at the end of November knowing the 350 was being handed over to the garage in December and I would claim back the 5 months unexpired - so you would think that would be £185.62? What do I get - £168.75 - works out that is 5/12ths of the £405.00 'fee' . OK, so its only £17 odd, but wish I had got the full 12 months now so I would have got a FULL refund. So be warned if you have not come across this wheeze.
  2. BUMS - clashes with a holiday booked to Italy
  3. Many happy returns John Guess as something of a nocturnal animal you will be well and truly tonight
  4. I'm well mate. Couldn't really get past the 370s looks so I've gone German... ...and gay - tell him about your other love
  5. Sorry to see this ad Paul but whoever gets your car will have one of the best-looked after and nicest examples about and with some worthwhile mods. A trawl of GIXXERUK's posts will confirm his passion for the car, so anyone looking for really good ZED and has the budget to buy, get in there quick
  6. I thought he was going to climb out the back window - but what he has done deserves
  7. No doubt why we get an oil temp guage rather than oil pressure one now Nissan America have confirmed that if the 370 is going to be used for track work then an oil cooler is recommended - and guess what, Nissan will want to sell you one Meanwhile on the jack and handle hunt.........
  8. The M3: - Has more seats - Is faster than a zed - Has a bigger boot - The SMG II is awesome - Can transport more than one person and a briefcase - OEM Sat Nav is miles better than the zed The list goes on. But: - Servicing is more expensive - Pretty common - Carries the Beemer stigma - Awful raspy exhaust note Totally different cars though. For what I need (something to put my Mrs and kid in) it does the job, if I didn't have my son then I'd be in a zed most probably.......... And the all important factor - which scores highest Nice job on the beemer BTW
  9. Yeah - Digsy was just upset his was straight and wanted it to look like everyone elses
  10. One of those 4's or the 5 needs to come off that figure, me thinks ........ or x 10
  11. Yeh Colin, you found your rear 350z storage bin yet in the new car Take a look at the 6th pic in my first 370 post - must have found it I guess viewtopic.php?f=70&t=31076
  12. ..........that I'm thinking about
  13. Looking good - and with that close up of the wheel. But got to ask the question - I presume the car hasn't been run after a wash or rain, rather than the pads not making ful contact with the disc as from that pic it looks a bit suspect
  14. Thanks for all the helpful answers which has at least reassured me my 370 is not the only one without a jack and handle, but at least the foam cut-outs are there for them. From the handbook you get the impression you squeeze the sealant in and then start the pump but it then says if the tyre does does not start inflating as the hole is not sealed to call Nissan service - very helpful, I think not. Just make sure the breakdown cover is up to date. As there is easily room for a spacesaver wheel and the handbook indicates the sub-woofer will fit inside that as it does refer to that combination, so that will be my favoured option. So jack, handle and spacesaver wheel on the list. And dawg, you don't get your bone tonight
  15. As far as I know they are interchangeable - the only issue, I believe, is whether the wheel design will clear the calipers and the offsets look right. As soon as I can lay my hands on a jack I want to try the 19" LMGT Nismos that I kept from the 350 on the 370 as the rim and tyre sizes are the same bar the fronts where the tyre profile on the Nismos is 35 whereas on the 370 they are 40. Remember that the base 370 is on 18" wheels and they tend to be the ones you see advertised rather the 19" wheels you saw on my car that are on the GTs and Ultimates I will post up as soon I get a jack and handle
  16. Welcome to the forum Was in Melbourne last April - a spectacular city and we enjoyed the Great Ocean Road for the first time With family in Canberra and Brisbane and a place that sis has in Bermagui, we get out there as much as we can
  17. Cheers Stan - and given we might have another excuse to come your way soon
  18. I hope this is not going to mean this thread going downhill form here More seriously, yes I guess that could be the answer John - just annoyed I haven't got the scissor jack to try out the Nismos from the 350. Looks like halfrauds might be getting a visit!
  19. For some strange reason that I have not been able to work out, the 370 is supplied with a wheel nut brace but there is no scissor jack or handle in my car? OK, so we have the tyre sealant and pump so theoretically there is no need to change wheels - but why have the wheel brace Or, is my car missing the jack and handle? But before going back to the dealer can anyone with a 370 let me know if they do have the jack and handle, or theirs is just like mine? Thanks
  20. Decided to check my tyres pressures today after a quick top-up using a machine at a filling station on Sunday. Needless to say the pressures were down on the 35psi they should be. So, I tried the electric pump supplied with the car (as we don't get a spare wheel and get the pump and tyre sealant instead) and it worked at treat. Pressures should only be checked when tyres are cold. So having a pump on board means it is easily checked at home - a bonus as how many times have you found the filling station pumps not working The socket lead is long enough for the pump to easily reach all 4 wheels from the socket in the glove box. 35psi = 2.4 bar - as that is the measure used on the pump guage. The pump was as powerful as most you find at filling stations (and no need to set the desired pressure) so it took less than a minute or so to do each tyre (bringing each tyre up from 31.5 psi to 35) I let the pump run until it read 2.5 bar on the guage as I then found on unscrewing the pump lead, meant losing a little air in the process, and on my own guage that I trust gave me the 35psi. Quite impressed The only very minor downside was getting the supply cables wound up small enough to get them both back in the compartment on the pump
  21. Not on the second car that also has orange leather whereas the first has black and we are told the seats are to be red. Can't rely on thse shots to confirm final production run, but the dark grey is No change to the standard exhaust that can be seen in those pics .
  22. No bloody titanium about it - its a straight forward Nismo, having got on close working terms recently with the exhaust off my 350.
  23. No haggis I'm afraid - but I'll have 2 wee drams to make up
