  1. But what if you wanted to see the display, say for example, to see the time?? You could move it to the cubby. Failing that, stick one of these somewhere? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Good-Quality-Digi ... dZViewItem
  2. Where is your iPod mounted? I would set the iPod display up to show the time, and then mount it in the cubby in the dash board.
  3. I beleive it can with a fly by wire throttle if it wanted. Even if you are giving it more air, the FBW throttle can close a bit, to give the "normal" airflow. This is what I would guess it does when you install a popcharger. With the plenum, as it is balancing the air to the cylinders rather than letting in more, it gives better fuel/air mixes across all cylinders, which means better burn which gives more power Usual disclaimer applies, I could be talking cack Likewise! Proves the point then - it is inconclusive..... But there are quite a few people who have had their cars dyno'd with Injen kits on, and they showed an increase. One of the guys posted his graphs on here, and there are a few in the US too. Confusing!
  4. Interesting views Digsy. I happen to agree on the interior bits, no great difference, but it doesn't feel quite as purposeful as the older ones. As for running in, people will probably be divided. IMO, I wouldn't be anal about it, but would take it easier for the first few X00 miles before giving it full beans.
  5. I was thinking the same thing about a year ago .. I just decided to keep the Zeb and buy something else as well +1 Do that!!
  6. Weclome to the site Digsy. You'd better make it clear if you're male or female. Then you'll know whether Stuey will be hassling you. The search button is your friend! Car sounds nice, why did you go non-GT out of interest?
  7. I think the reason plenum mods aren't cancelled, it to do with fuel / air ratio. If there is more air getting in, to keep the fuel / air ratio the same then it needs more fuel = bigger bang! Albeit the ECU canm cancel some mods, I can't believe it can deal with changing the basic set-up of an internal combustion engine!?
  8. Hehe, with a bit of luck yes! I know nearly new would save a chunk of change, but a) i definatly want a MY07, and i'm planning on keeping it for a good while, so second hand value isn't that big a deal. Oh, and c) i don't think i've ever seen a second hand red one (i bet there's one on ebay now i've said that! ) The gt/non gt decision is made though. Andy. Welcome to the site. My advice would be go for the GT and NISMO from factory. If you wanted a different kit then I can see the point in getting a non-kitted one. But since it can roll off the line with it on, I would take that option. Plus, the hassle of the car going away again etc.
  9. Sorry to hear this Nixy. My mechanic friend died last year, he just didn't wake up one day. He was 32.

    Collections

That can't be one collection, otherwise he'd have about 15 of the same car!! Inidividual's little collections. One day.......!! I am soooo jealous.
  11. It's not certain you will lose the steering wheel controls. I would say that for a little more than that you could get yourself and Alpine unit that also has bluetooth phone kit, and the Sound Gallery are working on getting the steering wheel controls to work for me.....

    CF engine cover

You seem to have missed the rest of the engine bay when it came to cleaning!! Did you not need to do anything with your strut brace to fit it? Any feedback on quality of weave etc on the cover? Looking
  13. With the second hand car market the way it is - ie almost dead - I wowuld say it is risky. It may work. Steve - with your avatar, have you got yourself a 318 that claims to have M tech or whatever it is!?
  14. Could be the switch wire has been wired to permanent live, or the iPod lead hasn't fully released to tell the unit to go back in the menu.

    slippy slippy

+1 Be careful out there. A mate used his S2000 as a tree clearer at the weekend on black ice.
  16. Welcome back Louis. Another thing while you've been away - we've talked a lot about the 350Z and associated issues. Shocker! I've done engine cover, air diversion plate and plenum. Calendar is done. There's loads of Scots on here now!
  17. One the car has moved and the suspension has settled it should look better.
  18. It does happen a bit. I don't generally do anything but smile. If I do, then I leave it in first and wait until they hit the redline in first, then go past with the Injen roaring before settling straight into 4th and rolling gently down the road...!
  19. Ebay scam .... oh oh High chance have been caught out with counterfeit goods. Got to wait until goods land to check. Not a big amount of money, but feckin annoying anyway. Latest on Sky, they want to send and engineer round this morning, when I told them no-one was available. Their response? 'That's the only time, do you want to take the job number?'. Will ring them later again to try and speak to another non-UK national to try and rearrange....
  20. Ask for the month's subscription free by the way... you'll get it. If you also say you are fed up calling them and paying through the nose for the call, they'll credit your account Sky take plenty off me, so I like to get them back when I can. Good shout - I can use it to pay for me eBay scam!
