  1. To help you sleep - try Covonia Nighttime. Within about 90 seconds of me taking that stuff I cannot keep my eyes open!! There is a new Lemsip that is only in drink format, something like Flu Plus which really helped when I had it.
  2. Why need a new ECU? If the Mod is modest then surely the stock ECU has enough leeway in it's tolerance to cope with a small improvement? Are the ECU's already at their upper limit on the UK cars? It all seems a bit bizarre. As I have a stock GT and am planning some simple mods, I think I will be a guinea pig and find out When I say N/A tune, I mean full on, not just filters and plenums. Full rebuild etc. will need a new / piggyback ECU to remap the whole shebang.
  3. The weather can have a fairly big impact on normal radio reception. Other than that, if you've checked aerial and connections the only other things it can be are the aerial cable itself and the headunit.
  4. why does it cancel out any gains from an air filter then ? shirley that does the same - more air/fuel, unless the MAF is grassing on us squeeling to the ecu See my other post above. You don't sound 100% convinced there, H5. GixxerUK's question remains unanswered. What we need is a 350Z ECU guru who can answer this question once and for all in words that we can all understand. Speak up and educate us, the ignorant masses... Scroll up to my post of 9.30am, which is what I was referring to in this post. If you want a conclusive answer, the only way of getting that is testing individual products on a dyno to see if the ECU is 'successful' in negating any theoretical power gains. In a nutshell, a N/A tune will need a new ECU anyway, so it is academic.

Don't go trying to apologise for your lack of imagination now. I'll set the trend, you lot can follow.....

No, no-one does these, anywhere, at all, ever again, forever, it is all completely unique. IIRC (don't quote me, call Phil) I think it was about £150. Intake pipe is the Injen one. Phil does a polished pipe for £95 I think, with different colour tubing for connections. TB and plenum can be arranged through Phil too. There you go, all secrets are out! And you'll never have the style to go with it!!! For the record, I did it first!

Anyone who has an F40 next to an F50 with a classic Fezza above it on a ramp, framed Ferrari memorabilia everywhere and stables tends to have a fair bit, yep!
  10. I had a mate's girlfriend come in saying 'Who's car is that outside?'. When I said it was mine she said, yeah right and that it looks like something cool out of a James Bond film. Funniest was when me and the missus met with another couple friends of ours, and when we came out my mate went up to the car and was waiting by the passenger door, and his girlfriend had a right go at him for touching the posh car and he could get into trouble and he couldn't afford to repair any damage. Was even funnier when I got in it!!
  11. It's not certain you will lose the steering wheel controls. I would say that for a little more than that you could get yourself and Alpine unit that also has bluetooth phone kit, and the Sound Gallery are working on getting the steering wheel controls to work for me..... Hmmm High Wycombe, not too far. Can you let me know how you get on with it? I might take the car to them and see what they can do with a different head unit. Cheers, Kenny Will do - they've done a few before, and I will be trying it with an Alpine headunit.

no mate , i didnt have to touch the strut bar at all, one bolt is under it but its easy enough to undo with an open ended 10mm and then lift it out with the cover the same for replacemant put the bolt in the cover and then offer it up to the engine if you put a light behind the weave you can see imperfections but on the engine it looks spot on £59 off ebay from jdm performance and no i havent bothered really cleaniong under there at this time of year - i'll wait for the summer now, i noticed the bonnet struts are trying to rust so i cleaned and coated those My replacement strut brace needs removing as it is about 3 times wider than the OEM! I got mine from Phil and the weave is very good. Got my bro to inspect it and he could only find one join around the oil cap hole and said he couldn't fault the weave. What are those rules about Detailing Club?!
