  1. I have an Injen and am well happy with it. Big Phil does a similar set-up with a polised pipe and a K&N filter.
  2. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7169543.stm C*ck.
  3. We're compiling one of the best retro joke books on this forum!!
  4. Mine did this, and then one day it inexplicably started working again. Try doing a rain dance while rubbing your tummy and patting your head. I'm sure there's something like that in the guides section.....
  5. Cheers guys. Have to say I am really pleased with it. As for further polishing, I will use the Dremel for the tricky places. Other than that, good old fashioned elbow grease!! Not sure what to do with the other bits under there at the moment. A mate of mine did an amazing job on his Escort Cossie so will enlist his help. Just got the throttle reset to do later....
  6. Just need to get some practice in with the dremel and buy a random orbital polisher and then the 'paint' in the engine bay should shine a bit. A bit of careful wiring and few more changes lined up, the bay should be finished.... I tightened up all by hand first then worked in star shapes to pull the rest of it down as evenly as I could.

Careful, or Ming will arrest you.....!
  8. This policy sounds tooo good to be true... especially this part"Wear and Tear included atfer 90 days policy inception" no warranty company will sanction this, if they do I think everyone should take one out before they go bankcrupt Depends how many hours they quote you to fix the wear and tear though!!
  9. Cheers Phil. That would be handy please, each time I dip the clutch it jumps to about 1,400 rpm and only drops to 1,000 rpm when I stop. Also little engine braking at the moment, this is after about 45 minutes of driving. If it needs a reset, I'll give it a go.
  10. Should help the Labour blood suckers cover some of their tax losses fromt he smoking ban through higher duty on fuel then.....
  11. So true. The glovebox behind the passenger set is so awkward to get at that the only thing I have in it is the owners wallet. Its also no good for storing items that are hard (i.e. anything other than clothing) as everytime you break or accelerate you get a "clunk" I think that's because we tend to jam our gloveboxes full of crap as they are so easy to get to. There are also the smaller cubbies in the dash and the two behind your head. Get some non-slip mat from Halfords and put it in and anything hard will stay put.
  12. Well it is done. I will write it up with pictures later, but it's not too hard. The main concerns are making sure you can remove the 4 pipes from the plenum without damaging of breaking the retaining clips. I currently have an erratic idle which I'm hoping by giving it a run out today will solve it. Thanks for all your help and input guys. I did what you said Ming, lightly did all the bolts then nipped them up. I have a torque wrench, but it's lowest setting is 30 lb ft, so I didin't use it on this. The Kinetix instructions show even lower figures as it isn't as sturdy as the OEM one. Pictures to follow...... Edit - pics here - not great quality as taken by a muppet, in the dark, in a rush! They don't do it justice at the moment. Will get some done in better conditions.
  13. Depends where you are, but it's included in mine......
  14. drive it, if its leaking you will know Now that just sounds dangerous!! Thanks Trev and Paul. Will have a go tonight. Might even do my own guide on how to retrieve screws from cylinders 2 and 5!! Will get mine back out asap Paul. You have a well lit garage then? Or will you be holding a pen light between your teeth? Indeed I do! Just about to give it a go.....

Clean and Shiny are round the corner from me and can recommend them. I would go for two coats of Jetseal on your wheels Mike, it lasts ages and puts a great finish on them.

  19. There is some logic in that! I didn't give this much thought and am now worrying myself that I'm going to cause a load of damage!! Will give it a go later. Is there a way of testing if there is an air leak when it is on?
  20. Anyone any idea what the torque levels are for a standard plenum chamber??
