  1. Would have to be kitted up to work for me... Agree. Gixxer's pic does look good, but I think the centre of the wheels help that quite a lot.
  2. Was that meant to help bud?? Anyone with a Blade Silver Zed, here you go!

Sorry to add to it, but don't do it. If it's only because it is cheap, it is still an expensive way to mess up the looks at the rear of the car IMO. Spend nothing and it will look better.
  4. Sorry, figure of speach, I meant I can't see me doing it. With the rest of the exterior standard at the moment I don't think it would go.

    Sunset at sunset

Jeez you get some questionable weather up there!! Top pic mate, I love your car.
  7. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Toyos.
  8. Couldn't agree more. I can't believe their handling test is whether a gappy toothed woman smiles when being driven in the thing!!!
  9. A well worded letter to NMGB will do the trick.
  10. I thought the aquaplaning formula was amount of water > amount of water displaced = aquaplaning.

    tyres for track

hmm so what profile would you suggest oem size? Without knowing the exact science, I would initially say the same as OEM. I guess it doesn't matter if you are driving to the track on other wheels and changing to these when you get there. But if you are driving to a track on them, you will be going a bit slower (sure there is a formula out there to say how much!) than the speedo indicates. Someone like Kev might be able to help since he's a track regular.

You need to be a little careful with the overall rolling radius if you are going lower profile on the same size wheels. It will play about with the speed you are doing vs indicated speed in the car.
  13. Almost all of it. There's a control unit under the panel in the glovebox behind the passenger seat. That won't work without the BOSE headunit. True. I would guess the mic in the roof wouldn't with an aftermarket unit either. Nope, you're right with that. The amp runs different line level inputs as well, not to mention is constantly on giving floor noise in the cabin all the time. Unless you get the little PAC adaptor, it's all BOSE, or no BOSE.
  14. Hard luck bud, had the MOT and tax thing in the past, but just been lucky and remembered within a few days. At least it was just a bit of cash and them not trying to crush your car!

  16. Yep. Nope. It will be about £3-4k by the time kit is obtained, and fitted, finished and painted. And there is no way it will add that to value, so if I can find one with it on and I spend a bit more to get it, I would be happier.
  17. I saw 2 today. Typical sort of day for people to be out in their pride and joy!

    stueys polished rims

Will only do them if i take them apart and put them back together again was what they told me when i rang them mate. First I've heard of that! Even if you take the car there for the day?? If so, am sure there will be others along with suggestions....
  19. Well maybe your right but Toyota for example had a great car in the MR2 roadster (biased I had 2) and decided to ditch it this year as it does'nt fit in with their (supposed green) tree hugging image they want to convey to the world? even though they were still making money on them and orders still comming in? So they would rather build boring but allegedly green friendly cars! Who knows maybe they are turning into the British Leyland of Japan! God help us all! Bit different in that the MR2 was pretty old, and since Rover became Over, has no real competitors left to attract people to the 2 seater mid engine weekender. People will take the newer, better MX-5 each time. The MR2 will have been dropped due to age of the car and lack of profits. It was only a 2 litre anyway, so not exactly a big polluter. The name means too much to Toyota, they'll bring out another MR2. In the mean time, the Zed should be around for a little longer.....
