  1. I've got them too, very nice Nismo ones seem to go for £125 Gus
  2. I did a big write-up on the old site at the time. The first half day at an old airfield, learning how far you could push it when cornering before the back end stepped out, also slalom driving through the cones. Concentrated on steering - push and feed - no hands past the vertical allowed The first hour or so after lunch on an oval skid pan ( not in your car ) - so hard to keep it going in the right direction The remainder of the first day, then all the second day, driving on decent A roads, learning roadcraft, ie positioning, gear selection, reading the road ahead, etc. I said at the time, and haven't changed my opinion, that it was a great couple of days, but felt a day and a bit on the roadcraft was a bit too much - not in terms of I didn't have fun driving great roads, but didn't feel I learned that much after the first couple of hours. All depends on how you currently drive - the instructor was certainly keen to push me pretty hard which I was all up for. My instrutor was a recently retired Police advanced driver - certainly didn't expect me to respect the 60mph A road limit Gus
  3. Did the 2 day course, based at Leeds, a couple of years ago in my then new 350z Gus
  4. Nice one Sarnie - looks fun. It's thing's like this that make me wish I lived further south, Scotland is so far away. By the way, Beavis, you can get the MY2006 in Gunmetal, so all GMs are NOT 20 bhp less ( unfortuantely mine is ) Gus
  5. Oh, OK then - somebody definitely had them, I can visualise the pictures. Hmm, who could it have been ...........Dorian ?
  6. Val, Did Steve-B from the old site not fit headers ? Seem to remember the pictures of the shiny, twisty, bits of metal ? Were they not a complete and utter baitch to fit, and showed no gains ? I may be confusing with the UR Pulleys, but pretty sure he went for the headers as well ? Gus
  7. Sarnie, You need the white bumper reflectors - the orange ones look crap , IMHO Gus

    CF Rear Strut Cover

Val, It was $AU 165, plus $AU 38 shipping - £85, then got £14 import charges and £4 Royal Mail "handling fee", so £103 all in Gus
  11. Alternatively, if you want the UK MY03-05 version ( the above link is the US version ), then PM me your email address and I can email you it in pdf format Gus ps I think I've offered this before, but if someone can host this somewhere and have a link in FAQ then may be useful to new members - again PM me if you can help

    CF Rear Strut Cover

Cheers guys It fits on top of the silver one, with double-sided sticky tape. You have to dismantle the plastic bits in order to fit it. Almost a perfect fit, could have done with being about 2mm wider at the left hand side. Dirty plastic - yeah , too many dirty walking boots Gus
  13. Bling, Thanks to richie at Equibs Gus
  14. Nah, sorry Derek, don't have any dodgy mates Got myself a new plate recently, K* GUS ( surname is Kay, so I have my full surname and my forename This will be for keeps and only cost £800 ) Gus
  15. Not offcially, but can allegedly be done if you have the "right" connections. This is one reason why many people don't like their number plates showing in photos - someone browsing the forum could find your address and pay you a visit in the middle of the night and "ask" for your keys. Gus
  16. Mugwump, The overall diameter of a wheel plus tyre, is the diameter of the wheel ( say 19" ), plus twice the depth of the tyre sidewall. When a tyre is 245*35*19, then 245 is the width, 19 is the wheel size, and 35 is the aspect ratio ( in percentage ). Aspect ratio of 35 means 35% of the width, ie the depth of the sidewall is 0.35*245 = 85.75mm. It them follows that 255*35*19 will have a different sidewall ( 89.25mm ), and therefore different overall wheel+tyre diameter ( 7mm difference ). Gus
  17. From "somewhere else" Opel Vauxhall 40B, Giallo Capri Titan Gold, ask them to leave out a couple of grams of 'oxide red'
  18. If this was genuiune, someone got a bargain - went for £1001 I had asked about local collection, and was told it would be fine, but in the end I wasn't sure and didn't did. So, if your name's geoff, good luck ! Gus
  19. Unless of course you can get Telewest cable - £10 extra a month, no up front charge Not much content yet , as Sky won't sell their stuff to TW - it will come though Gus
  20. You were too quick - my post was a mistake, now edited
  21. Except for the Plenum - the additional airflow to the front 2 cylinders will show an increase that the ECU does not adjust for. The only mod worth doing for actual gians, and not for noise/bling Gus
  22. Sorry to disappoint, not another seaside joke but some info that might save you some dosh If you go to the pluspoints website, then you can nominate one day of the week, and from now until the end of the year you get double points for all fuel bought on that day. Once you've chosen, you can't change ( otherwise you'd change it every time you were about to go the garage ), so make sure you choose the best day for you. Gus
  23. Don't know about the midlands mate, but up here is Scotland it definitely pays to avoid the cities. I was quoted about £190 in Edinburgh, and £140 in Livingston which is about 15 miles away. I asked why ( same chain of dealers ) and was told it was down to higher business rates in the cities meant their hourly rate was much higher. Took my own oil and ended up paying about £110. Gus
