  1. I've used Nengin once - cheapest I could find for a particular part. Delivery wasn't super fast, but certainly no problems Gus

    Air Vent Trims

Gonna have to disagree with you guys here......... Had a set of Nissan ones originally, and yes they curled up in warm weather and really annoyed me. Then bought a set of stickies from funky - really disappointed in them, they look like what they are, ie bits of shiny sticky plastic - cheap as chips, so not too bothered, but certainly wouldn't recommend them. Decided that I would get another set of proper ones, and this time fit them properly. The secret is getting them bent to the same curve as the dashboard, before fitting them, then doesn't matter how warm it is, they won't be trying to peel off. So, bought a second set from Nissan, and this time, spent the time ensuring they were bent to the exact curve of the dash - result !! Been on all last summer and not lifted a miliimetre, and look 100 times better than the shiny plastic. all imho, of course Gus

    Brakes????

Andy, agree with you on the Redstuff, but disagree on Yellow and Green. Yes, Yellows are more track focussed, but they are also designed to be used on road, and the EBC website specifically says they work very well from cold. Quite a few 350Z owners using them happily in the UK. Greens should not be used on a car of our weight/speed/power - ie EBC say don't use on cars above 200bhp . The other EBC pads you want to ignore are Bluestuff - they really are track focussed, and definitely need heat. All the info here http://www.ebcbrakes.com/Automotive.html Gus

    Wiper Blades

Jim, Not sure if the MY07 Zed has them. The ones I fitted were not a Nissan part just a generic set of blades of the correct size eg http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-350Z-2003- ... dZViewItem Gus

    Wiper Blades

Just put a set of the new style flat blades on - was fed up with smears on the passenger side ( no spoiler ). New ones ( about £20 off ebay ) have spoilers on both sides, plus even pressure across the length of the blade - so far so good Gus
  6. Jim, I never buy extended warranties on any electrical equipment. I reckon that the odd one that does go wrong will be paid for by all the money saved by not buying warranties on all the others. Anyway, remember than John Lewis do 5 year warranties as standard on all tvs, and also do price match ( although not against internet prices ). So depending on where you were thinking of buying from, you may get a "free" warranty by using JL Gus
  7. Looking good mate Paint code for Brickyard is AX8 by the way Gus
  8. Depth of sidewall on 245/45 is 0.45 * 245mm = 110.25mm depth of sidewall on 235/50 is 0.50 * 235mm = 117.50mm Since there are two sections of tyre in the overall wheel diameter, then the 235/50 tyre diameter is 14.5mm too large Would probably cause havoc with your ESP, etc If you want to go to 50 section tyres, then should be 225/50, this would only be 4.5mm out. HTH Gus ps 224/45 would be too small, ie sidewall is only 101.25mm
  9. Nope, Standard UK 18" alloys are both 8" wide, it was just the Rays that were different, ie 8 and 8.5 Gus

    Going Abroad

I was away for 7 weeks at the start of the year. I didn't disconnect the battery, but be sure not to lock the door using the remote, nor key in the lock - both of these activate the alarm - and your battery will drain. To lock the car, just press the button on the inside of the door with the door open, then shut it - no alarm on. Gus
  11. Has anyone driven both the 350 coupe and roadster to the limit on the track ? Is there much difference ? The last review that they liked was the coupe, this one was the roadster, maybe the roadster is not as good ? Remember the Z4 was designed as a roadster, whereas the 350Z is a botched coupe. Might be interesting to see the same test with both the coupes Gus
  12. Stevie, Engine is VR38DETT, ie a 3.8 twin turbo, but not the VQ series. Rumours are that it is heavier than expected, about 1750kg, but also possiblby more powerful, ie may be over 500bhp My understanding is that Middlehursts, along with a few other UK garages are taking unofficial deposits for UK spec cars, not imports. Importing parts query

Adam may not know the UK import tax and VAT side of things. You should allow approx 20-22% ( of the total, including postage ) to cover import duty, VAT and handling fees. Gus
  15. Val, not quite correct :- Bluestuff are the Track only, Yellowstaff are Track and Road Yellowstuff : - "Although a full race material and capable of high temperature use with very good wear life, this new formulation sets a new trend in race type brake pad compounds that can be used on the highway. The “biteâ€
  16. It's to do with the Z heritage dating back to the beginning with the 240Z - the number is always a tenth of the engine cc size It's worth noting that some of the nissanusa sites no longer refer to the 350Z, just the Z, so they may go down that route - but doubt they would ever call a 3.7l car the 350Z just because it had 350bhp. Gus edit : what happened to the recent post by H5's that I replied to - it's just disappeared ??

    350z Emblem wanted

Eerrhh, yes it is an import, not a UK car All 350Zs for the whole world are made in one factory in Japan. That's not to say they can't make various components in different parts of the world Gus
  18. The mesh seats are not available on the coupe, only on the roadster

    370z pics... maybe

I think you're a bit wide of the mark there mate ! Infinity is already a brand in the US, where they have their own range - pretty sure they will just sell that same range here. No reason to move the Z from Nissan to Infinity - think of all the heritage. Infinity is the luxury brand, Nissan don't class the Z as a "luxury" car, it's a "sports" car, which Nissan do. The G37 ( recently replaced the G35 ) is the luxury version of the Z I may be proved wrong in fullness of time, but don't think so - I say that the Zed will continue to be a Nissan Gus
  21. Badges :- $81 for 2 delivered from Delsa, ie £40. £30 each, plus postage, from Funky Gus
