I've been quoted aprox £1500 to buy a nismo exhaust in the UK and $1365 including shipping to the uk from the states, with the dollar against the £ at the moment it's a pretty good deal, i just need to figure out what i will be charged by the government for it

I'm looking at buying an exhaust and depending on how much of my budget is taken in duty and tax, possibly some high flow cats

Hi Guys, Sorry if this has been posted before but I'm looking at importing some parts from the States and am trying to sort out my budget, i've got costs for purchasing and shipping but I'm not sure what happens once it gets to the uk, do I have to pay import duty and VAT? any advise gratefully received

forgot to mention the Smart guys too, it was great to have a chat with them and I still can't get over how much the tax is on one of them

so far i haven't had any water inside the car (fingers crossed). it happens on both the driver and passenger side (but worse on the driver) and I definitly get it when the bonnet is slightly elevated and i'm pretty sure on the level,but I don't ever remember getting it when the back is higher. The seal above the door was replaced last week but it stll happens so i've told the dealer and am awaiting a call back as they were all busy

sometimes it looks/sounds like quite a bit of water empties out of mine, which is fine when i drive it everyday but i just wonder what would happen if I went on holiday or away for a few days, it also means I have to be careful when I've got nice shoes on

I was wondering if anyone has a similar problem to me. When it rains the sills on my kick plates fill up with water (the bit with the Z on), when I open the door it poors out and empties. (I've learnt to stand back from the doors when I open them) The car has been back the dealer a number of times (over 7) and they agreed there was a problem to start with and moved the window and re-sealed the logging mechanism, after them telling me it was a 'feature' of the car, until i asked them to put this in writing and put in a complaint, they ageed to replace the door sill on the drivers side but it is still happening on both sides. When you open the door the waterl pours out and you then watch it drain out of the sill. Is this common for all 350's

thanks for all the advise guys , i had read somewhere that the topspeed was very loud (also that it was almost unpleasant once you started tuning the engine), on the flip side some of the clips I've listened to on youtube for the nismo one sounds almost standard i found thes clips, do they sound accurate? Hi Afzala, i'm new too so can't say anything about cost of wheels etc but I did buy my 350 new a year ago, I managed to get the the car matts thrown in and a higher price for my part ex. I found with buying new the sales guy was great, nissan then sent me a key ring and a Mr and Mrs Smith book which was nice, however, when it came to the waranttee things got a little harder, though on the plus side I have not paid for any of the work/repairs. If I was to buy again I would probably look for a car which was a couple of months old from the dealer and save a couple of grand and put this towards some mods

Thanks for the welcome I'm on the sussex/surrey border but work in Crawley, I some times see another silver 350 on the way which i wave too, but I don't see that many around (which I think is a good thing). I'll try and post some picutres of my car later, after shopping on the polished bliss site I cleaned the car quite a bit this week but then had to take it to Nissan to get my door sill replaced, so I'll give it a quick once over first. I've already had a chat to Abbey about doing performance mods to my 350 but I didn't realise how many cosmetic bits I could buy, I think your right Zedrush, the credit card is going to get a battering and touchwood, so far I've had no problems with the oil consumption
