excellent write up and a smart piece of kit, not ,my style, but impressive all the same.

but i adjusted my price accordingly, it came down repeatedly, i had lots of interest and i negotiated on price. i think my problem was to many cars for sale, and people didn't like my mods. possibly returning to stock might have helped, and i did to a part. but looking at for sales thread on this foruma dn others, i'd much rather browse through single post ads. than have to fumble through all the other stuff everyone else posts. i can see what your getting at, but i kinda feel most people have alot of common sense, especially when it comes to dropping 10-15 k on a car.

how do these affect handling?

neither should he, we are supposed to be a like minded community Wouldn't really call it an attack as such, as he was asking a ridiculous price for his car and someone called him on it. If words like "lying cheating thieving git" had been used then that would've been quite inappropriate and would've deserved some kind of modding. Should a community let people rip off it's members, whether it's intentional or not? I've not been here long enough to speak for this place, but personally speaking I feel that any kind of locking or censorship of FS sale threads does nothing but hinder the community as a whole. There's a difference between passing comment and having an uncharitable pop at someone. i kind o agree, but this is no different to the prices that nissan dealerships were trying to sell me a zed for. and there passing comment was some one will buy it. well if someone is stupid enough to not research and buy the first one they see then its kinda there own fault. but i would think that most people are sensible enough that i they made it on to this forum they have a little nouse about them. it gives some oen astarting point to haggle on. the buyer doesn;t have to sell that cheap, and the buyer doesn't have to pay that much. its all down to choice. and in some ways it should be left between the buyer and the seller. if either want advice, then i think because they are on here they would ask for it. and many people as is evident will happily give it. but in some ways it should be assummed on sales threads that advice is only given if asked for.

car sales threads should be a single post advert, any comments or adjustments should be made through PM. if people have concerns about the validity or safety of the car then it should go through the ADMIN and MOD team as thats what their there for. i find multiple posts all over an advert make it hard to find the information, and clog up a clean advert.

i know what its like to have a thread demolished by people who think their being helpful. and when corrected not even an apology. eg. http://www.mr2roc.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=18945 first apge of comments is fine and people helped me to work out an accurate price. but its page 2 and "steveJ" with his "public service announcement" which pi**ed me off as he was wrong about the info. and by posting it up sabortaged any sales interest i had at the time. meant i lost another £1000 off the vehicle before it sold to make way for the ZED.

just slap a square of red film over it. wouldn't tell the difference. exactly the same as if it were a red lense, just easier to remove. and it would only be on for a day

what about a piece of red film for mot days. can be peeled off after

just putting a bulb in should be no problem, as long as it works, there is no visual guide you should follow. i may be wrong though as i'm not an mot'er

i think we persuaded him to get a VW tiguan. he needs something to tow his caravan, something to do with the 80% rule it'll match my wifes car, as she has a golf. they are a bit of a VW lovin family. each to there own, but i find VW a bit souless

i like the idea of it being hidden, and the flip up lid should act as a good sun block. hopefully the GF tray will mean easy put in and take out. but untill i take the centre console to pieces and make up a mould i won't know

plan is to make a glass fibre back tray to hold the unit. run all power cables through the back of the centre console.

cheers for the link. i'm kinda thinking it might work, but worst case senario i run it like a standard sat nav not through the car audio. i have plans on how to fit it oem style in the cubby hole. and using the standard lift lid instead of the push back one. just gives that bigger screen compared to things like tom tom, garmin etc. don't mind being the first, but only when i know what i'm doing. ICE is a whole new ball game for me. suppose i'll just have to learn as i do it.

its a beautiful Zed in general. the kind of look i like, tweaked, but not over stated

am loving that spoiler and the black door handles; where did you get the handles from?

just looking at the wiring diagram, and the pic of the back of the head unit trying to work out how it goes together, they say its compatible with pretty much every headunit, but i've never seen a heasdunit with that many plug in sections? let alone the bose unit i was wondering if it was possible to hard wire it into the original audio loom. as all the speaker parts are labelled in the diagram i like the sound of the kit thats up for sale, but its more than i want. i'd rather do a carputer, or nurrishes piece of kit. i prefer a more oem look.

i'd do the exhaust, but look at the turbo xs one. i think it might float your boat

anyone with ice experience able to help on this one??? i don't want to spend £400 and it not to work, just needed a little reassurance from someone who knows more than me
