  1. would the turbo xs exhaust be a comparable competitor to the nismo?
  2. sounds like something is left on and is draining the battery. could be a dodgy connection somewhere, or it not earthed properly. have a look at the battery terminals, do they look corroded/dirty, if so give them a clean. shiney is good. maybe an earthing kit might solve the problem. i know some old cars used to suffer this because things like glove box lights/bot lights weren't going out. and draining the battery. someone else might have a better idea
  3. welcome when i got my Zed, it was a toss up between the 350 and the S2000. and i love my Zed too. loving the V6
  4. it might just be the wheel spacing, sitting further inside the arches, if they were pushed out a bit that might improve the look.
  5. i guestimate around £11,500 - £13,500 maybe more depending on how desperate the seller is
  6. Welcome along i love the old GTV, but never had the guts to buy one for those exact reasons. i think they are beautiful. but the zed will be a good replacement.
  7. Insurance companies will head that way in the future, heard it on "road wars" the other night. bus companies already use them, as it helps with insurance claims. the proof is there, no escape. "honestly aliens came down and smashed the front end of my car" "lets check the video footage... i must admit if i hadn't seen it with my own eyes i would have thought you were trying to defraud your policy"
  8. i've found the manual for the amp section of this product. it has a full pictorial diagram showing how it all connects, http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Stati ... al0410.pdf but i don't know enough about stereos, in particular the bose unit to work out how it connects up. would this work, or can you cut the connecting blocks off and hardwire it into the original wiring of the bose unit? anyone with ICE experience would be greatly appreciated.
  9. what is SEMA and where is it held?
  10. put it in someone elses car? avoiding that, there are some bike carriers that fit on to the rear of a car, through the boot. don't think you'll get something to go on the roof.
  11. where do you find car shows like this i want to go just don't tell the wife
  12. if alarm goes off, try the remote again, if that doesn't work, put the keys in the ignition and turn over the engine. if that don't work, pop the hood and disconnect the battery to stop the alarm.
  13. could always cling film wrap your car after you clean it. drive to work, un-film it. and re clingfilm it before you drive home. will look spotless in the work carpark, but will look like a mobile packed lunch during the commute
  14. actually, i'm a dab hand at soldering, but i have no idea where to start, did you take pics as you went, could you compile a list of parts (where to get them) and what needs to be soldered along with possibly a software download and instructions would be happy to pay a contribution for the service would this work with the flip style cubby, or do i need to swap to a push back style, and if so would this other cubby fit in my slot? would this windows CE take a different user interface so you could have different screen layouts like centrafuse etc Found this off an old forum (The carpc is still in the planning stage, I am about 50% done in writing my own software called freeice.. your welcome to have a look at it.. http://www.freedrive.co.uk/freecar/FreeICE%200.8.zip ) if you plugged a usb hub into the single usb slot, this would open it up for other devices. do you reckon it would taken an OBDII reader so you could also run engine diagnostic through it, monitor things like revs, engine temp etc, as i've seen it on carputers (i don't really need it, but those running turbos etc might find it useful) so many questions i'm sorry. just been reading your thread again, this does look hard work. really do hope your up for making these to sell to members, its just what i'm lookking for.
  15. id rather have a koinessegg (not sure on spelling)
  16. nice car, but there are others i would own before the veyron. (In my fantasy world of course) these are cars i will only get to dream of sadly
  17. can only find 1 pic of a zed on page 9 of the gallery
  18. these guys are meant to be very good, the FTO club use them alot. and years ago when i looked into an FTO these would have been the guys i would have been to see. http://www.precisiontrimming.co.uk/
  19. you must have done well for yourself. i couldn't afford a car till my 4th year and it cost me £300 (old rover 214) i had to work 2 jobs to keep myself going. what you studying? and where?
  20. marzman do you just browse ebay all day. i always go on to it, but i never find the gems you do
  21. sorry forgot to add on, does this have any external USB cables fitted as it would be good to be able to plug something like an external harddrive in. cos i could save all movies and music to it. but bring it in to update content without having to remove the unit. basically i'm looking for satnav video music possibly reverse camera optional handsfree bluetooth (already have the nissan fit) ipod/mp3 connection
  22. so how do you go about ordering one of these then. i have been contemplating my own project but this seems better. is the prototype complete now? are you taking orders yet? is the price still £400. what is the spec of the final item? (i have been reading but lots of posts and add ins has left me confused of what your little gizmo does)
  23. i need to see this in the flesh. its growing on me, some pics make me like it, others make me hate it. i would never change my car now, but in years to come i might upgrade unless their is something better, but by then i would hope the GTR would be more affordable as i prefer that.
