  1. i use bp ultimate normally. but thats only 97 ron. didn't know they did a 102 ron, never seen it at the pump
  2. i got an 06 with 13500 on the clock gt spec for £14900 about 1 month ago, if that gives you a guide on price. you can tend to find 350's to match your price, but your problem will be what others are willing to pay for yours. i ended up trading in my 07 civic type s gt Diesel for £10,000 and a mk3 mr2 roadster for £5000 in order to buy my 350. and considering that i only bought the civic 12 months ago for 14500 you can see how much prices have dropped.
  3. Im exactly the same, I always check on the motorway whether there is a volvo behind me or not and adjust my speed accordingly I do exactly the same, always suspicious of Volvo's, I mean, who would actually buy a Volvo out of choice??? my father in law is thinking about it
  4. when i got points on my licenece 5 years ago in wales, that was an unmarked volvo. i'm paranoid round volvo's now. if i see one i always look to see whos driving when i pass
  5. coventry were running some old civic type r's. don't think they have them tuned. so would be stock setup. never seen a bad boy rozzer with 5" tail pipes and neon lights under the car
  6. i never buy cars new off the forcourt, you might as well give a tramp £5000 as you drive off the forcourt. i'd rather someone else take the hit, and i'll buy it second hand for less. newest i've ever gone is an ex demo car. 1 year old. the 370 could be my next car, but i'm not planning on changing for a while. (although every car so far i normally get bored with after 1 year, changed by 18 months, am hoping this won't happen with the Zed as it ticks all the boxes) also never bought same brand twice. so who knows what i might get next? but that o-60 time is nice, wonder if their is much improvement in the amount of tourque? as 0-60 is not the best thing to evaluate a car on.
  7. can't deny the quality of the car. just not my thing.
  8. Or rather a country where the only officially imported Skylines were GTRs... Pah... MR2 Turbo's were never imported. They are well known, however. As I said, an ill-educated populace. They probably don't know that the Vaux monaro is a Holden, and is sold in the US as a Pontiac GTO. I bet they don't know shedloads of stuff, but ho hum... i class myself as a petrol head. but like said above the skyline is only imported in GTR form, we have very few that aren't GTR. and for me like the evo's and scoobies the skyline is just an uprated saloon car to me. i recognise and respect the performance figures, and the ability, but they do nothing for me. strip away all the bumpers and turbos, and all your left with is a glorified hyundai family car. (styling wise). its the old horses for courses. there are cars that i like that others will think are terrible, and vice versa.

    Almost Finished

looking good in there. any plans for more carbon fibre in there. really like the black plenum as well
  10. i hated doing dips and pullups. i'm a prop by nature, so being fast is not too much an issue, just running through people thast counts. which means i'm heavy. people take the mick that i do less reps than them, but what they forget is that i'm shifting an extra 3-4 stone than them. which means i'm happy with the 50 pressups i can do in one go. (just)
  11. or the one the most people know about if you said skyline to me; i would only be able to name the GT-R, R33, and R34. any other car type, or brand, and i can real off most variants and engine sizes without thinking. like i said above, the skyline never really floated my boat.
  12. just think if you pumped the dog full of helium. couple of farts and its airbourne.
  13. halfrauds, do some good free checks, especially if your planning on buying something. and you can pick up a battery for an ok price from there.
  14. i stand corrected i have never been into skylines that much, didn't dislike them, just never paid much attention. knew more about toyotas, and MR2's. Nissan is a hole new world of info for me. just getting to grips with the ZED info overload. i liked the comparison stories, does put it into perspective. thankyou for putting me right. promise not to make the same sweeping remarks again
  15. i need to get back in shape, my wife is now referring to my stomach as "my little father xmas belly" just don't seem to have the time to fit it in
  16. You don't know much about skylines, do you... not really, i thought skylines like the r34 etc (think i got the number right) are extremely rapid cars. with more bhp than the zed. so if the g35 has the zed engine and weighs more it would be as rapid as the original skylines. hence the first new skyline in ages the GTR. but like you said i don't know alot about skylines, and am happy to be corrected.
  17. Only takes 50mins to an hour m8....if you do things properly... Will be seeing my lass in half an hour...will ask her for details n will keep you informed.... Yeh if all you are doing is a basic work out! 50 mins is a warm up bro! Stretchin 5 mins Cardio sesh norm 60 mins Weights easily 1hr 30 mins Strethcin again 5 Cool down cardio 10 mins But hey what do i know If you can do 1hr 30 on weights then you are not pushing hard enough on what you are doing. When I used to train at uni the general quideline was if you can do more than an hours weight sesh, then you need to be pushing harder. Add to that 60mins of cardio before and you definately aint pushing hard enough Dude thats me tonning my body! Building muscle is easy! My best weight is 120kg bar. Altho i cant do that on the bells. I am a rugby player i do alot of fitness and weights i have to be good at both! Plus beer drinking is my best sport good man, rugby is the sport of kings. i keep contemplating playing again, but my dodgy knee is alsways in the back of my mind. i'd rather not dislocate it again, cos putting it back in makes child birth look like fun!
  18. i used to stop at 50 min's cos if i went to 70 min i could not lift my arms higher than my shoulders for 3 days. used to be able to bench press my own body weight. which is about 210 lbs or 105 kg's i think (bout 16 and 1/2 stone) not sure if i can still do it. or if i can proably only get 2 reps out before dropping it round my throat.
  19. see the supra looks like a viable replacement for the 350z. it maintains similar styling in the revised pic to what the zed is now. i've never stuck with the same manufacturer twice. although this is my second jap car.
  20. when i was training for the navy i was doing 3 hours a day 4 times a week in the gym. 10 min warm up on the bike, 50 min on the cross trainer 50 min on the other bike 10 min on the rowing machine 50 min in the weight room 10 in the sauna some times longer shame i let it all go. still have the guns but they need a polish up to get them back to their full former glory.
  21. you must have posted on every thread going since 2006
  22. Be interested to see the H&S setup when its complete. is yours the first, and playing the test bench from which all others would be made? will it be done in a day or will it have to stay for a little while? what kind of price we looking at. my last H&S exhaust cost £550.
  23. i think he might cry but if he wants to sell, its probably what its worth. take sarnies advice, he knows his stuff; i mean look at his post count, its higher than i've had hot dinners.
  24. it is a nissan skyline 350gt jap car, never sold over here, think it uses the 350z engine, but its put in a 2+2 coupe body shell. sold as the skyline 350gt. think it goes by another name in the US. don't know much about it. its not a true skyline by definition, but uses the name correct me if i'm wrong
