  1. got 2 options option 1 i'll send you enough material to do it with cost £10 takes about 5 min to remove it 10 min to remove the zed carefully, about 1 hour to fit the vinyl, 2 min to fit the zed back on and about 2 min to refit the cover. (or as nurrish says, you can get it off ebay as well, Would get around 1m by 300mm for around a £10 on ebay, more than enough) option 2 post it to me and i'll do it for £35
  2. if you are coming to the meet on sunday i can take your rear brace home with me and post it back to you when i've done it.
  3. looks good, did you fill the 3 holes eitherside of the Zed before vinyling or can you still feel them if you push your finger in?
  4. ok, i tried removing the steering wheel controls today so that i could CF them, but i hit a stumbling block, i couldn't get thm out. i managed to remove the 2 srews behind the steering wheel.. easy enough. still wouldn't come out. so i then took the 2 plastic covers off the side and removed the 2 bolts at the side... wasn't sure what they were but they turned out to be what holds the air bag in place. easy enough. i know have my steering wheel in many bits, and they still wont come off, had a feel around and there are 2 more screws holding them in, but they are blocked by the rear steering wheel plastic trim and the only way to get at them is to take the steering wheel off... at this point i didn't have a long enough socket extension, or a long enough socket, or 2 pairs of hands, or big enough musles. tried different methods and the sodding thing wouldn't budge. i even tried unclipping just the covers off leaving the switches in places, would they come off ... b0110cks would they. gave up in the end and put the lot back together. thats a job for another time. so i dismantled my enginge cover instead for spraying and have primed the bases for my new strut brace as well.
  5. http://www.aceparts.com found this place that seems quite good, single D2R bulb is £34 should i replace just the one, or should i do both at the same time?
  6. thanks mate much appreciated. i'm going to have a go at the steering controls tomorrow, will take pics when i'm done. might bring my tools to wales and maybe do a couple for people while i'm there if they want. depends on time really, i suppose because i won't be at the carvery i can sit outside and do it while i eat my pack lunch and everyone else is inside eating there roasts. just call me cinderella
  7. I was planning on getting a obd2 reader but didn't get round to it. You may find someone local with one or go to nissan to get it read. My guesses are 1. - the O2 sensor on the exhaust, probably fixable with an anti fouler. 2. - throttle body. Possibly a sticky buterfly valve. Should be fixed by doing the throttle position reset. Doubt it's anything serious. Can read your own fault codes with he edu rest procedure but it's more of a skill than just plugging in the obd2 reader

  9. does look like a deep patern, very deceptive, i'll hopefully be at the wales meet on the sunday, so people can look then, i might even bring the roll with me if people want to buy some.
  10. as chesterfield says its a copy of the greddy one, i have one sat in my garage, the greddy one is dead easy to fit, and fitment is perfect, as for this one i don't know. from envy the greddy one was about £260
  11. looking at the crease in the door it looks like you got personal with a lampost, wouldn't be suprised if you un earthed it as well. looks like you hit with quite some force. me thinks you were taken surprise by a corner. glad you were able to walk away, i can sympathise did something similar years ago off a roudabout.
  12. found some bulbs but it refers to fitment at the base, and i'm unsure what the base fitting is for our bulbs.
  13. same as xstrct, ive always been taken, thats why so few people have had real men, we're a rare breed
  14. i'd be interested if the price was good.
  15. Suppose its easier to start with the problem, my passengers side dipped beam has blown. so i need to find a replacement. i have decided that at the same time i'll change out lots of the other bulbs at the same time and up date the look while i have the wheel lining out.i have used the search function and had a read and found some information. so far i have tracked down some side lights which are quad LED and wheite which are the ones bullet magnet recommended the question is can these also be used in the number plate at the rear and in the boot space, and would one extra pair be enough i.e. one in the boot and one in the number plate, or do both sections take 2 bulbs. in other words do i order 2 sets or 3? also does anyone have any reccomendations on a good indicator bulb, i want to get rid of the ornage ones and put something silver that flashes orange. also when it comes to the dipped bulbs i know i need an H7 55w bulb and something to do with D2R but i've never played around with bulbs and don't fully understand if the connections are all the same, can i use different bulbs, what are good and bad etc. i know some people use philips, and i've had a browse on ebay, but can't tell whats good and bad etc. does anyone know of a good supplier of automotive bulbs and point me in the right direction and possibly advice on what to avoid. i know PIAA do stuff but its quite expensive. and nissan is a rip off.
  16. How thick is it bud? I want to do the silver trim pieces on my steering wheel as one's a bit worn... You think that'd be a realistic application? I know IanS16 has stick on carbon on those parts and they look good If you can take them off the steering wheel to work on then they should me dead easy to do. That's going to be my next job as mine look a little tired as well. Vinyl is thin same as normal vinyl; probably no thicker than tin foil.
  17. thanks guys really appreciate the comments. if people want some vinyl to do it them selves i can post them some... for a fee of course
  18. i can supply the nismo bonnet and boot decals if you want them.
  19. Hi Rich, will check for you tomorrow, I'm sure I've got one available... thanks buddy
  20. thats a cracking car, you can see how much time has gone into that. very smart, really love the orange zed touch on the rear strut, very unique and really sets that strut off. i have some lovely dark orange engine bay lettering for the carbon covers that would really finish off the engine bay
  21. which metal piece are you refering to the whole lot is plastic The silver rear strut cover..!! absolutly nothing, it was already attatched to the car, just removed it, took the Zed badge off, covered it and re-assembled it all. only thing i paid for was the vinyl.
  22. which metal piece are you refering to the whole lot is plastic
  23. got any of these in stock mate? fancy adding this to the kit i have, would love the carbon blade one, but needing to paint etc means that this will do the job.
