  1. it was a floated idea, maybe i will maybe i won't need to sleep on it for a while

  3. i think this i smy new favourite, it's given me ideas, i want it all wrapped up for tracking it. like go faster stripes
  4. welcome along you'll have to search on here to find pics, there are some.
  5. welcome along i've heard of REMOVED before, but for some reason i can't remember where from or why?
  6. i am planning to start using it on the track, does that count?
  7. just found this which i thought worked quite well on a silver car
  8. PMSL very funny, ok i get the point, leave the big wings on aircraft or cars that need the down force because they are a real race car.
  9. my aim is to make it look like a GT racer. so planning on avoiding random patterns, and look more at branding names, numbers stripes etc. like it came stright out of the forza 2 game or granturismo 5
  10. i know its only a scaletrix car in my first post, but i quite like the spoiler on it as well, am i a ricer
  11. it doesn't cover the paint damage i want to hide plus i'm not a fan of them. i know if your going to vinyl a car its got to be an all or nothing attempt, you either make it look like a track sponsored car or don't bother at all. doing it half arsed just looks chavvy.
  12. found Ekonas work, but these colours won't suit the blade silver
  13. ok i might get flamed for this but i'm thinking of getting some racing stripes for my car once the Nismo bodykit is on. partly because i like them and partly as i need to hide some paint damage that i can't be arsed to fix. i was hoping for some ideas on what would suit a blade silver car. the only one i've found is this one i wouldn't have just the stripes but also vinyl up with some other stuff to try and balance it out. i love the look of track prepped cars and would probably do the sun strips, definatly front, not sure on the rear. and would possibly follow the same design as above but maybe use nismo instead of nissan. just looking for some ideas really, anyone seen any really smart wrapped 350z's i know Ekona is pretty decaled up and will possibly post up a pic from his lemans week. and i know someone else on the suffolk run had talked about it, but i need some ideas. i always remember the peugeot rally cars etc. but i want a nissan specific design.
  14. i have a k&n oiling kit at home, its meant ot be pretty easy, just follow the instructions and don't over oil it. think there is a video on you tube of how to do it.
  15. or k&n someone on here is also running a group buy on the pipercross filters which are good and they come with a polished intake tube i think and they were going for about £160.
  16. personally i don't like them, i'm dubious about there ability to filter as effectively as cotton or foam. i don't think they are rubbish but i wouldn't use one. it relies alot more on oil catching the particles, i would be concerned about the build up of oil on the MAF, easily cleaned, but a hassle all the same. i also think they sound more raspy and metallic on the intake sound. i read an article a while back on different filters, i think it talked about how even performance cotton filters let more crap into the engine compared to OEM paper panel filters. i think the more you open up the ability to breath the more you open up the opportunity for crap to get into the engine. its all down to personally preference if i was to rank them i would have a 1.dry filter first 2.oiled cotton 3.Foam 4. Metal mesh 5. a pair of tights over the intake. 6. nothing at all
  17. +1 had both, both are good, but personal preference for me is the K&N which is what i have now. although i might look into dropping an apexi filter into my K&N airbox. What would be the reasoning behind this, better filter? i had an apexi on my old car and it was a great filter, but it was also a dry filter, where as the K&N is an oiled filter; nothing wrong with that but there is a risk of oil clogging the MAF (only if you over oil it.) also the apexi has a cyclone funnel in it. the JWT is good as it has more filter area with the internal filter section its like 2 cones. would never have a mesh filter, not good at filtering. foam is good though the piper cross was on my civic. i've tried a lot of filters on different cars. my fav so far have been the JWT K&N and apexi.
  18. you'll have to wait till tonight then, as it will take me a while to upload it etc, can't do it form school.

  20. ill see what i can do, i have one in the car. at lunch i'll go out and measure it if that helps.
