  1. Places orders here. i'll get a list together i think it may be a case of rob posting a bundle to me and i'll send them out so might be a couple of £ ontop to cover paypal and postage costs on my end, but it literally would be no more than £2. i'll sit down and work it out later. 1. Rtbiscuit - red - plain 2. 3. 4. 5.
  2. a lose to music, strange strange man though
  3. my guess is you'll have major clearance issues, as for the wheels i think they are volks sf challenges or something fro mthe volks range anyway. i think bullet magnet just got them.
  4. you'll only find out once its infront of you, and then you'll find out how much cutting will be required.
  5. you won't see anything like cheap till your 25. if your serious about one i hope you have deep pockets or very wealthy parents because either way one or both of them are going to be paying out alot. must admit if you add running costs onto that for a year you could be forking out £5k in total on top of buying the car
  6. "whats that coming over the hill, its a monster" chavtastic
  7. my old mr2 used to creak and rattle all the time, first fix is to just turn the radio up. second fix, is jam something like paper, bluetack rubber somewhere to stop the rattle 3rd fix, dismantle and tighten. i prefer option 1 and 2 as it requires less work.
  8. sorry Mark, i hadn't realised, i've not seen them in person, was going on similar products i've seen. TRD did there own badge which looked like it used similar techniques which was a chrome finished plastic with plastic glass infill. had assumed wrongly that the same technique had been used. even so i still think that the price is far higher than the manufacturing costs. but thats a whole different conversation for a whole new thread.
  9. different techniques, i was refering to the process that TK would use. plus Likwid art is a one man operation run from his house. different overheads.
  10. just to let people know the last leg has started was just randomly checking and my boat was already racing
  11. i never meant to cause such controversy with a badge, the aim was to offer something that people wanted. Mark i'm sorry if this thread has offended you, i was not trying to upset those who already own the original. i was trying to give people more options, especially now as there are more colours available. you are right i'm not a trader on here, but i already offer vinyls which are to all intense and purpose copies of logos or originals, but no one has had a problem with that before. At the end of the day copies and replicating are all part and parcel of the manufacturing industry. how many varieties of coke do you know of. i'm also very aware that these are not cheap knock offs the technique used to make these are also the way that the automotive manufacturers are heading. citreon already use a version of the manufacturing technique. and others are following. it allows for a far sturdier and stronger construction than the current glass filled PE that everyone currently uses. its a flusher fit and is harder to steal. i appreciate money and try and spend it wisely and for me the TK badge is lovely, but i also know that it costs all of about £1 to make it. and i can't pull myself to pay a 700% markup for a piece of plastic, how ever nice it is. so i looked at alternatives. you'll still have your exclusive club, and those people that are loyal to brand names will still buy the original, but not everyone can afford them, and that is why you'll always find alternatives. if you want to discuss it further i'm happy to do it via PM or in a seperate thread, but i'd like to keep this one for people purchasing.
  12. got one being posted to me should hopefully have it next week. Will post up pics as soon as it arrives.
  13. thanks for the advice i'm rubbish at writing letters, but i was too chicken to phone direct as i didn't know how to phrase things with out blurting out "f*ing c**K" in a sentence. i thought writing might be a softer approach where i can think about what i can say and re word it several times. where as on the phone once you've said it you can't take it back, at least in a letter/email, you can delete and re type before sending. hey sarnie do yuo want to write my full responce for me
  14. i must admit, now that i have put the old one against the new likwid art ones i prefer the new ones, the old one looks more plasticky, but then i am more biased, i think once you see them on a car or in the flesh they look even better. plus there are no more small holes on the badge for the gunk to build up in. it also gives more options colour wise, so not everyone will end up looking the same. for me at the end of the day is that the original is nice, but not £70 nice for the plans i had it would be too expensive, and also limited on what i want to do, tommy only offer one size, and i want to rebadge the car, i.e. wheel centres wings and strut bar. and the originals just dont offer that versatility. at the end of the day its each to their own, its what makes us individual
  15. there are some headlight eyebrows around somewhere that go around the whole headlight, not just to one side, might be a better option. as for the black from the front looks ok, but from the top/side it looks odd, i'd go for blacking out just the reflector
  16. dammit sarnie, see if i had had that reply i would have been happy, even if he only offered me a tenner at least the tone was right, it annoyed me his response was so up his own arse. i suppose he might have got the same impression from me as i was questioning his work and using my position to justify my claims of poor workmanship. maybe he was just throwing it back at me.
  17. Right the full set is up Red orange blue black silver carbonfibre
  18. just added the blue ones as for the sides, i think they may come at the end of the year, Rob was really kind and squeezed these in in the middle of show season. will have to see how it goes.
  19. Ok Guys the Big unveiling there are 3 versions, Rob was just testing the water for opinions on the others 1st is standard 2nd is with 3 chrome squares 3rd is with 3 squares of the back ground colour. Chrome Outer with metallic red centre Chrome outer with Silver flake Centre Chrome Outer with Black Centre Chrome Outer with CarbonFibre Centre Chrome Outer with metallic blue centre Chrome outer with metallic orange centre all items are priced the same: 1 Logo for £30 2 logos for £50 hope you guys like them
  20. i think you hit the nail on the head. i want to email them back, not to whine about the fact they won't compensate me, but more for the fact to say fair enough it was my decision, i was a bit nieve, i should have been clearer, you were only doing what you could with he items supplied. but there is no need to flipping patronise me blah blah, so on so on etc etc. i'm rubbish at writing letters, i'll have to leave it a while and think about how i'm goig to respond.
  21. Just been in contact with rob, he had been out at the NIA watching the Britians got talent show. anyways, while i was on the phone he has emailed me some of the pics, i can't post them up yet as they aren't water marked, but he is going to send me the whole set of pics water marked to me within the hour. the ones i have seen are the standard chrome and red, but he has also shown me the carbon fibre one, the chrome and gloss black, and a very sexy chrome and silver flake. they are only mounted up on a piece of black acrylic, and the thing i have learnt is that Robs work looks even better in the flesh, and when its on a car. not only that, but Rob has also made 3 versions of the Zed, he saw the original Zed (not the Tommy K) and has tried to incorporate that into 2 other prototypes. they may or may not be to your liking, but its an option that you have. if you don't then you can stick with the standard. i think he made 10 sets up of each design and in the different colours. i'll post rob a link to this thread once the pics go live i think you guys are going to like these. see whos going to wait up till half 12 to see them
  22. rang earlier but no answer. Feel it's a bt late to chase it up tonight. Will follow up tomorrow. Will txt him tonight see if that gets through.
  23. No BM it's a totally fair point. It was my first dealings with a fitter. I suppose I'm a victim of my own knowledge. I know how I Would have fitted it and don't understand why they did what they did. Just doesn't make sense. But at the end of the day I have the skills, workshop and materials to repair it properly. I suppose I was just looking for acknoledgement of a task done badly. What iforgot to mention and I didn't tell them was that they quoted me for 4 hours work. Did the job In 3 but still charged me for 4 hours labour. Only reason i know is that o was sat there and counted. I think at the end of the day I either need to be more specific with my Instructions or go somewhere else. Most jobs I can do myself. I think when I finally change the head unit, I'll do it myself.
