  1. i thought it was just certain wheels? obviously not, although 19"s seem to fair fine.
  2. would you advise a wet spray instead of a powder coat for the rays then?
  3. I have to say my own research a year or so back showed this was a problem on the GT4 alloys (as fitted to our GT4s and the rest of the world as standard, not LM GT4 Nismos) and I didn't see anything much about the standard Rays. The pic above is of course a GT4 alloy. thats what i thought. i've never seen the standard rays or the nismo 19" damaged but have seen several of the ones of the pic you showed me before all damaged.
  4. yeah i'm careful on the cars i pick on, i try and make sure its got less than a 1.6 to make me feel better
  5. i thought the picture was of a set of GT4's? if they're not GT4's which ones are they, and are the GT4's the bigger 19" nismo ones?
  6. i thought that has only happened on the GT4's, never seen a set of rays like that.
  7. vik i've never met you, or seen a picture of you, so in my head, your 25, 5ft 4" size 10-12 and brunette.
  8. see if it was a man slap it would have hurt, but your a dainty girl, and dainty girls don't slap very hard
  9. Its nice that your thinking about me tho and ill never turn down a free bump thats alright, i'm still hoping to borrow your spare wheels in about 2 weeks time when i get mine refurbed
  10. think i posted it else where, but i think it was £220 for just a satin black finish for all 4 wheels, and another £80 for a red lip to be added to all 4. if i went just satin it would take a day, with the red lip they need them for about 3 days. not the cheapest, but they come reccomended, and they are one of the few places that offer the red lip.
  11. its alright lads, when i've learnt the art of telepathy you won't need to explain. i'll just know already
  12. those astra VXR's aren't slow, easiest and crudist method would be to work out the power to weight ratios on the car. 350z has minimum 275 bhp, but weighs in at just over 1600 kg. so its bhp per ton is only about 172 bhp per ton. something like a (going on previous car) mr2 roadster has 138 bhp but only weighs about 900kg so has 154 bhp per ton only about 18 bhp between them when you take the weight into account. i had friends who had turbo'd theirs and were running at about 280 bhp or more accuratly 311 bhp per ton. and would trounce an untuned zed. our only saving grace is our huge torque, most little engines have to work the gears and some rev higher, but we can pull alot harder in each gear. but at the end of the day, if the driver of the better car is crap, and the other driver is better you may not do very well on the old back roads. hope that makes sense.
  13. if your going 19" there isn't alot in it to go 20", its not like this is a little 2 litre lump, so performance won't be that hampered, you'd only notice the difference if you track it. i'm keeping my 18" rays as i'm staying down the performance track route, as they weigh very little. and are standard forged wheels form rays. decided to go the refurb and decent tyre route. looked at 19" even found my perfect rims, but feel my current path is more performance orientated.
  14. sorry i'm southern based, i'm using wheel genie to do mine
  15. is this the same as winning gold in the special olymipics? only kidding, well done on the hard work
  16. madmarky had some brand spanking new 20" wheels at a bargain price. not quite waht you werre looking for, but a good set of wheels at a good price. don't know if they sold in the end though.
  17. mine go in, in a couple of weeks for satin black powder coat and red lip hopefully.
  18. Is there something you should be telling us Vik vik, also used to be known as viktor
  19. congrats on getting the car sorry to here about the knock t-cut the car please don't do that, its far to abrasive for nissan paint, nissan were very sparing when they painted the 350z gets some megs polish or get some advice from some of the detail experts on here.
  20. very funny now where can i get this drink from, i need something to keep the douvet off my legs while i sleep
  21. if you want to sell up i'd strip it of parts first then sell the car as standard. you'll only be able to take aesthetical items off, as brakes clutch etc are seen as good upgrades for replacement parts. you'd make more money that way.
  22. its a good phone, but i'm not welded to mine, i can put it down
  23. its why i got the xbox and not the PS3. i wish the xbox did blue ray, they had the hd dvd add on, why can't they produce a blueray version, then my life would be complete
  24. i've used the spirit level and its not bad.
  25. transplant the skyline drivetrain into the zed and you'd have 4 wheel drifting
