  1. who makes the R3? +1 ...is it Audi ? Maybe?: http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/Drives/Sea ... AR-review/ looked at the rx-8 when i was getting the Zed, they are nice cars, but between that and an M3 i'd take the M3
  2. yeah looked at monaros, nice same as the m5's and even the 6 series but they are big cars, and i just don't need that size yet, the m3 is still quiet compact. maybe when i'm a bigger boy and have kids but as soon as it has 5 doors i loose interest. much prefer a 3 door. as for me the back seats are more of an extended boot space than a passenger area.
  3. Just make sure to use an indy and even then imho it had to be a specialist, I wouldn't trust most indies with it. Main dealer servicing costs though for the zed and the m3 aren't comparable. Same with parts imo. I made the mistake of using a main dealer for inspection 1. Never, ever again. am well aware of BMW servicing charges, but i have a friendly garage i know very well that build BMW touring and race cars. what they don't know about BMW's could be put on a gnats testi. they also did all the work on my zed and my S2k.
  4. has Dcash left and taken all his pictures with him?
  5. agreed on the mondeo track, be interested to see it in the flesh, and if the interior is actually any good.
  6. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p they are nice, but i still prefer the BMW
  7. i shall go and have a look; always open to suggestions, was toying with the older S4's from audi
  8. for me sideways isn't an issue, i wen tsideways to the S2k, i've reached a level of motoring i'm happy with, if i start looking at faster beasts; the expenditure seems to go up exponentially. at this current level its still affordable to run as a daily driver, is useable and affordable. and the advantage of the m3 is its going to give me the extra seats and space, more useable boot. but higher comfort levels than the z and by a long way the S2k. the M3 is something i can cruise for long drives in lots of comfort and relative quiet. but when i've dropped the wife off i can thrash it round a track or the back roads. yes a zed can kind of do that; but it doesn't have the space i need. or the level of equipment the m3 has.
  9. i feel left out, only getting about 1/2 a foot, always love this type of weather, never got to experience a proper winter since i was about 5 and living in the west country.
  10. i believe darren b and alessandro has as well
  11. I only pulled your leg once when you got the S2K - each one to their own So are you any good at weilding a hairdryer and pair of scissors since you got the S2K? have you grown testicles since buying a zed?
  12. meh! i don't care i put up with the crap from you lot with the S2K and i'll continue to do as i damn well please in the future
  13. the golf is the sensible option, but i actually love the m3; i know it has a stigma and image attatched, but i don't really care
  14. i looked at the dell streak before i bought my HTC desire, too big to be a phone and to small to rival the ipad; kind of a weird palcement gadget. is there anything ipad sized to rival the ipad?
  15. those last 2 posts have made me laugh travelling up the corporate ladder in a rectal cavity is f'ing genius and box ticking as a managment style. i thought teaching had its issues; but i'm kind of glad to be in my air tight sealed public sector box.
  16. i pad on its own might just go; but you really need a single din in there to arange and control all the audio in the car. my aim would be to cut off the dials section and blend that into the new centre consol that you'd have to build from scratch; and try and keep it seperate from the gear surround and AC controls.
  17. the way things are going, i'd inform them if i sneezed and followed through by accident.
  18. don't worry, husky is giving me the same amount of grief for the same decision but i do really like them; and i'm struggling to find something with the same level of kit, performance and driving capability. it is the bench mark for performance and handling in its sector. yes there is the RS4 but the price difference is alot.
  19. I'm not entirely convinced work would refer to it as spare but it stops me literally snapping a chair leg off and clubbing the various idiots I encounter on a daily basis to death. And I quote from a meeting with a very senior manager; Senior "..........so how can we put a backstop in to stop people making mistakes." Department Manager " well we can't.......some things just can't be governed like that" Senior " could we not employ someone to sit next to them and point out when they do something wrong" Department Manager "...........you want me to employ someone to sit next to the account manager to point out when they do something wrong" Senior " Yes........" ..........tumbleweed rolls passed. you've got to be joshing me is it the senior is that retarded; or are the staff that bloody useless?
  20. so he's not allowed a life out side the races
  21. i did this with my air filter and exhaust. paid nothing for them as i told them it was a replacement part and they were cheaper than the OWM items. plus neither gave the car any gains in HP. did have to pay 30.00 for the wheels though.
  22. nice but its trying to hard to be a rocket ship. GTR's never really did anything for me. and thats just tooooo big.
  23. need something with more seats and boot space, with the new company being setup i'm going to need the transport space; taking items to the post office etc and collection of materials etc. also struggling with my knee the arthritis in my left leg is making my leg judder in heavy traffic, so want to try some kind of auto, but didn't want to loose complete driver interaction. especially as a lot of autos can make great cars feel dull. current favourite is BMW M3 E46 with the SMG box also looking at VW golf R32 mk5 DSG box left field idea porsche 911 carerra 4S (one of the older ones i think late 90's version with the fried egg headlights.) have to say the m3 really is floating my boat, love the looks; interior and amount of kit it comes with.
