  1. Following on from this- I was waiting for the day my fans gave up…. Worst thing was I left it running for a bit inside work and then noticed the temp gauge was a lot higher than halfway 💀 got it outside and it managed to cool down a bit and was able to drive home safely- instantly order some mishimoto rubbish fans as a replacement for the meantime- yes they’re as everyone says “shitimoto” - the quality is fairly good you Defintely get what you pay for- however, they stay on all the time if you have the ac on, they’re loud as hell, don’t have any different speeds - so will be repairing the Oem ones when I get a chance- I genuinely didn’t take many photos as felt this wasn’t that interesting- 4 screws and off really,
  2. Thanks mate, I have a backlog of updates just never get the time to follow up, yeah so I have what I call a wheel of death for the angle grinder, basically a knitted heavy duty wheel, also have a flappy wheel for deciding whether to cut and weld anything.
  3. Spray it with some maintenance spray then get the gun on them and seal with the consequence’s later, majority of the time it’s the ones that look like they won’t move move easiest 😂 I work on enough rot boxes 😂 impact also shocks the bolt/nut where breaker bars put a lot of strain on it, however it’s easier to stop when it’s about to go aha
  4. Apparently from an mot perspective you actually can have different rim sizes across the same axle, which is silly in its self, I retract my statement
  5. Those rules sound dreadful and also similar to Australia and New Zealand 🤔 very glad not in that sort of issue! But your work looks very in depth
  6. What both of these gents said, as soon as I got mine replaced all fluids, make sure you got the correct diff oil for the vlsd, gearbox is easy enough to do, and have a look if anything’s been done to the fans, are they standard as they’re common for failing
  7. It’s all within the offset really, this is 9.5” front et 22 and rears 10.5” et18, also lowered but custom distance and can’t remember how far, @Monkey1983 has 3dsm 10.5s front and rear with spacers and lowered and we had some problems with touching especially over bumps
  8. Hahaha! I remember your troubles my friend! they probably did tbh, and you’re probably correct! 😂
  9. Later that night I also found my purple led side bulbs and decided to quickly change them over! not technically braking any rules in my eyes haha! will probably be proved wrong in a matter of days 😂
  10. So following on my reposts- after getting somewhere with the outside of my Z, my colleague has a really well done Impreza wrx s with a really well done engine bay I decided that I should give it a go cleaning up the disgusting plenum and throttle body! Now bearing in mind how bloody long it takes the guys to do a mirror polish on these and I only spent a meer 3 hours with a wire angle grinder attachment and other assorted wire brush attachments I think I did pretty well! But my god was it hard work! FairPlay to the guys who do this as a side piece because it really does take a lot of effort! Obviously a big warning- block up every tube and remove the plenum to get a better job and easier working surface! cover the bottom of the plenum so no dust or scuzz gets down there! and always remember that stupid coolant pipe under the back is a twonk to get back on sometimes haha! i won’t mention the jwt pop charger in this thread because everyone knows what it is and how to do it so won’t waste the time to write it up the throttle body I was very careful with and used a battery drill with a wire wheel to clean up and a hand brush as tbh the angle grinder was let’s say “very aggressive”
  11. Factory wheels still looking good even 16years on! Just like the rest of the car
  12. It’s like a match made in heaven 😂 I can go visit him! I’m currently in Paignton 😂 I’m really really sorry 😂😂 Take a seat and enjoy the ride! 😂
  13. Suppose it’s like the difference of normal evos and Tommy mankien evos 😂
  14. I was waiting for someone to post this thank you sir!
  15. Definitely sounds like you own a 350 haha so fun! There’s so much to learn about it! stick around and add some pictures!
  16. Do you cheese and crackers or just the wine he’ll ask? 😂
  17. Thankyou! January is the month of doing! So unless he locks us down for some reason then I’ll do you wheels then 100%!!
  18. It’s getting there, I’ve still got to update all the recent and current improvements yet 😂 Thanks mate, yeah basically the gun fits into the air line and you screw it into the bottles, three bottles will cover majority of the underneath of a medium sized car so it spreads well, I also quite like the style of finish it leaves as opposed to some of the other treatments- sounds strange I’m sure 😂
  19. Yeah driven a couple at work admittedly on test drives so not ragging a customers car but prefer overall the way the 350 feels and it just seems more responsive to me as-well as you need to pay more attention to it, but the 370 Is definitely more refined in a fair few places aha
  20. Whilst doing the new wheels I decided to strip out the rear arches and re under seal them and also to check for rust- sadly a very small hole was found so I had patch that up and seal over it too! Stripped it all the way back to metal where I could! apparently didn’t get pictures of that! sealed it with some nörmfest bitumin under guard, probably one of the better under seals I’ve used tbh, creates a tough skin after a 10 hours and sets after 24-36 hours- so left it up on the ramp over the weekend to avoid any moisture affects, definitely makes it look nice and new and clean!
  21. Another update after too long! Had the time to do a nice bit of detailing on the weekend, multi stage wash with clay bar polish and sealant. Think it came up bloody well tbh, tried out my new poorboys da polisher. another minor thing - I got some new wheels with some new falken azenis 510s on them- Jr32s fitment: fronts: size:18” width: 9.5” et 18 Tyre: 255/40/zr18 rear: size: 18 width 10.5” et 22 Tyre: 275/40zr18 tied up with some nice Driftworks petrol glaze wheel nuts! And given a coat of poorboys wheel sealant to start off some protection!
  22. Thanks mate, it’s not too hard! Yeah in real life it doesn’t look bad at all for a £20 diffuser, genuinely I just wanted something to fill the space and for £20 couldn’t complain, due to my drive I can’t have anything too close to the ground like a voltex style 😂
