  1. Rainsport are brilliant uk tyres thanks to our lovely rainy weather. With the MO, I thinks its more to do with comfort on their suspension set ups. You get AO for audis too, as well as J for jaaaaagsss.
  2. Reasonably priced to aren't they.
  3. I keep looking at Tarmac Sport as hes down the road from me, could be dangerous. I have to balance a sporty sound and keeping wifey happy lol
  4. Do your merc tyres have an MO on the sidewall? This should mean merc only, but think its more about comfort than grip. My daily is running Mich e saver plus. The zed is on falkens but I er acquired some Dunlop sportmaxx for the rear from work thanks to another garages mess up.
  5. Did the car fail or was it an advisory? If it was advised, do you get any knocking or steering wheel wobble? If you don't and your tyre wear is even, I'd leave it, all you're being told is the rubber bush is starting to perish but no excess movement. Unless its affecting the way it drives.
  6. Spotted driving past Halfords in Burton at about 11am today. Grey with a big carbon wing. I think I saw it a couple of Saturdays ago too. Any one on here? Jay
  7. I got a similar price from hastings, i'm similar age and NCB as you and a company car. My SO is also down as a named driver, so its not a bad price Id say.
  8. I'd say they're most likely the source (not that I've heard them personally lol), yeah wd40 should be fine. You'll struggle to get a torque wrench under the arch, but I'd always advise torquing the wheels to Manu spec. While you're under is always a good excuse to have a poke round checking for play in track rods, leaking shocks etc, thickness of brake pads inner and outer.
  9. Release oil/spray might help, if the bolts have never been moved thay can a pain to do. Ive seen the lads have to grind them off some really troublesome ones (it was an ancient saab). The problem is theyre pretty exposed to the elements. I believe some fitments need a spanner and an alan key, spanner on the bolt, alan key in same side.
  10. Billy Connolly would be on my list, would be fun I think. Anthony Hopkins I imagine has good stories. Ladies, would be Taylor Momsen.
  11. I just bought a higher mileage 06, but it has full service history, 5 years at Nissan, then 5 at japex. Its well looked after and the condition doesn't betray the mileage. Id always get one with good history.
  12. Not sure how accessable as never tried on my 350, but if you can get access to the tensioner and silicone the mechanism up a bit might help, rather than replacing.
  13. I know it removes the suprise element of it, but maybe worth asking them for suggestions, do a survey type of thing. Better odds of them being happy etc.
  14. Is it the terminal clamps you need? A company called whatnot make universal ones, you can get them from euro, pages the parts alliance etc.

Nice, cheaper than building a garage or car port I assume.
  16. if you go with this one, are you recruiting?
  17. Hmm, probably not paint balling or climbing then. And joining them on a spa day could be creepy. Track day?
  18. Group team building day at your expense in work time? Paint balling or something. My company provide the guys bonus pay, but I buy chips in winter and ice lollies in summer, the workshop has no heating or AC... Meaning it's only pleasant in spring and autumn.
  19. Nice. Mines black too but without the nismo bits. My wheels are graphite

    Berk HFC.

The issue I have seen is that it can burn out the o2 sensors bringing on the eml when the cats get overly hot. We saw this when we tried to get one through its emissions test on mot. near the end of the test the cats got hot, eml on, limp home mode. This had the same cat back system as yours too. Pretty sure it was the rev up engine (im new so only just found out about the different engines). But from what the owner was saying driving it daily never presents an issue. Also I don't know what standard of o2 sensors he had, if they were cheap after market ones, that could have been an issue. It sounded lovely, quiet(ish) if you want it to be, noisey at about 2.5-3k revs. Didn't rev it higher than that though, no need and a customers car. Jay
  21. For some reason my girls feel pixie is OK for the zafira. My old astra was Bambi due to understeer issues. Not named the zed yet.
