  1. We've all seen batman, we know where escalation leads. You'll either find a Lion, or it'll go down the route of the old lady that swallowed a fly. I like the bag and pepper ideas, and i'd love to see someone sprinkle pepper on their roof. My granddad has a statue of a cat with marble eyes in his garden as he's convinced it scares off other cats.
  2. Also see if the mechanism can be adjusted, I did mine as it wasn't even secured to the body. All you need to do is remove the trim lining the boot, a socket the tight size, loosed the bolts, adjust and tighten.
  3. I've got the next base 312gw in works car. Work don't know, I just need to remember to count it when I do stock take. Its hard wired in, I just use the 12v adaptor when I have it in the Zed. With it falling off, I think it only happens when its really hot. I think its a really good bit of kit, one I hope I'll never need. I turn the mic off on mine in case I go to court and people laugh at my aweful music, but after gangzoom says you have hear his indicators on his, maybe I should turn it back on...although my singing will drown them out I guess.
  4. Could be uneven tyre wear, if they were scrubbed enough when it was tracked they'd feel like they're pulling. Could also be pressures. If you're getting new tyres, track it again straight away.
  5. Tut, another day where I'll have to speak to my co workers. In all seriousness the forum is great and improvements will only add to the greatness.
  6. Good price. Have you never tried doing the tint yourself? I've been successful on side windows bur never rear. But I can't wrap either, but your wrapping skills are ace.
  7. See my legs rotate the other way, heel on the brake using my toes to regulate the accelerator. Does anyone else find their entire rythm is car based but you can't dance? My SO gets miffed I can do 8 different things at once in the car at full speed but can't match rythm to music.
  8. I also find I have to rotate one way. Are you supposed to heel brake or heel accelerator?
  9. I llllooooooovvvvvveeeeee thumbs up lol.
  10. I'm OK at left foot braking. My heel toe isn't great though. I tend to drive in converse as they're pretty thin.
  11. Am I the only sniggering at jack off?
  12. Yeah they look like cats, we had one through with them on, and it just would not go through emissions. He also had no cooling fans so couldn't even run it up hot to try and help. In the end he fitted a standard system and we got it through that way. Then put his old one back on.
  13. That's how i read it . Curse my lack of understanding wife
  14. As soon as a company or the government/council is picking up the bill, the prices go sky high for most things.
  15. These are great reads
  16. Zenith or Lex then, the 2 easiest to deal with. To be fair it doesn't happen often if this car as i just tell them the current range as say it needs to come back with the same or pay £1.50/litre.
  17. Do you work for one of the lease companies? My company car doubles up as the courtesy car, its an Astra Techline with satnav and dash cam. Its well annoying when it goes out as it comes back with less fuel.
  18. It does look lovely. Took mine out today but it's a tad dirty so no pictures. Black is not the best colour for cleaning in the sun.
  19. Welcome. There a few on here that have supercharged, and a few that have Turbo'd. I'm sure they'll be along to share links to there build threads soon enough
  20. I always forget to remove the dashcam from the work car and transfer to the zed, so I think i'll just get one for the zed. Should probably get one for the SO too, like Stu said, it doesn't need to be 4k HD, expensive job, the minimum requirements I'd personally go for is forward facing with a wide angle and a memory card.
  21. Apparently it does, records and stores all the images, it's just Tesla doesn't make it available to the public for some reason. http://electrek.co/2016/09/13/tesla-autopilot-camera-stores-footage-crash-like-dashcam/ The car also knew it was in a crash as I had a call from Tesla about 10 minutes after the incident to check if I was ok because the car had called home and had disabled its main battery. Have just ordered another dash cam for my wife's car and will fit one to the loaner X when it arrives too..... People just don't seem to bother looking when driving these days. If not release to the public (I'm sure a request for any of your data is covered under U.K. Law) but at least the insurance companies or authorities should have access with the correct paperwork. Anyway, I digress glad no one hurt and it will be taken care of. Edit: I have this theory about white and black cars that people seem blind to them, I've had one of each and on both occasions I'd often get people pulling out of junctions etc and not see me. My theory is SUVS and MPVS. Whenever I drive the zafira or crashqai people always pull out on me as they assume I'm going to dawdle along. Same in a van. But if I'm in the company car or the zed it never happens.
  22. I think it's easy fur people like us to get distracted by quality with dashcams because we want them to be go pro quality. Really though as long as it's clear enough to show lights working or not, or who pulled out, that's all you really need.
