  1. swine I've not got that far yet lol
  2. Anything water based. The advantage with the water based foams is that if you so desire, they can be puncture repaired.
  3. And I salute you for carrying on sir
  4. Ok but when you end up skint and broken, i won't be held accountable. We has one in a year or so ago with a sporty exhaust, I couldn't help it give it a couple of blips in the workshop when we closed. Sometimes my job is really cool.
  5. So yeah pretty hot on the corners too. It got away pretty quick too.
  6. I took mine on a bridging camera, a bit easier to carry around and store, I'm paid up for japfest so as long as I remember lol
  7. Slight tangent...I have 2 daughters, who have glittery bath bombs every now and again. Now being under 10 they don't clean the bath down after use. I'm quite hairy, like Chewbacca hairy. Sometimes I come out the bath looking like I shared a bath with Tinkerbell. Not a good look when I go to work next day
  8. Calendar and desk top arrived today thanks mate. They look awesome.
  9. Most of the Fix Or Repair Daily squad really. When I was younger a ka driver was worth a look. Now it's 500s and the occasional mini.
  10. Put a deadline in place, and get people to submit something, anything. We have some meets coming up regionally so after some of them maybe, and get people to donate like we did with the calendar. Then you lovely people with the power pick what bits you like fur the final draft. Although he obviously works for michelin I liked @Ekona tyre review.
  11. My gran has coeliacs and had it since the 60's. I think a lot of food is mass produced these days and filled out with 'stuff' and that's what causes dietary issues. Stu is right that these days by comparison everyone seems to have something they're intolerant too. I'm allergic to alcohol, to much and I get a right headache . Joking aside too much bread and stodge and I'm rough for a good week. I don't eat bread but I'm a sucker for a pizza.
  12. Corrosion is less of an issues these days. You can thank the first scrappage scheme for that. We do get the occasional Ford ka through and we do our bit to make the roads safer by writing then off. Disclaimer: I don't have welding equipment at my garage. I have had 3 06 plate Mondeo's with excess corrosion to brake pipes this month alone though, and these cars aren't worth the expense to replumb... although I let the customer decide that. Most jap cars sheath the pipe in rubber.

Do you have standard cats? I have high flow cats and every couple of months I get this code, usually when I don't push the car asznd am cruising. I just erase it and it buggers off for another couple of months.
  14. Damn predictive text . A cat back system shouldn't cause you too many issues I'd have thought. But I also think that off the shelf systems have a lot of R & D that go in to them to avoid issues and give right sound and flow to your car. If i was to buy one I'd want one that's been on a few zeds already and is proven.
  15. Haha sometimes. But we also have dvsa approved hammers, that are quite light weight so that unscrupulous garages don't use rust to get welding work that is almost 100% margin by using a lump hammer.
  16. Highlights of national events, photos from regional events would be good. I guess the only thing to be careful of is making it too full. It needs enough to keep interest, but not too much that it replaces logging on to the forum I guess. I say that because both my suggestions in this post already get covered by the relevant threads.
  17. I like the idea of this, and would read and like to contribute. I have a wasted english degree in my job and want to contribute to the forum as much as possible.
  18. You're planning a convoy and I'm still deciding when to unsorn mine
  19. What's ridiculous is that the new training for all testers this year is around corrosion. In regards to the brake warning light it may also be linked to cars manufactured after a certain year. I don't have my dvsa card on me so can't check the handbook atm.
  20. Only on a pre 2012 car though.
  21. No @docwra, I want to drag this out longer . I Can see why people would think its too good to be true though.
  22. I assumed the work would be legit to have name dropped Horsham, it'd be easy to check, and a foolish move to lie.
  23. Ignore this post for the same reason lol
  24. If the battery is new and healthy some charge will creep back in. Test the alternator with a voltage reader to about 3k revs at the battery, a good alternator should show 13-14 volts. Then again at full load with all the electrics running. It could be a loose belt not spinning the alternator fast enough and you're using more voltage on the usual running (radio, satnav spark plugs and the sensors) than it's kicking out.
