  1. Should be able to get away for a quick spin in the evening. Trouble for me this time of year is I'm never quite sure how long I'll be working. Make it 7.30 ish, in Pont if you like, Blackbird?
  2. That's a shame, yesterday was a nice day for a drive. Wasn't sure of timings. Anyway, today is a right off, still raining hard here in Alnwick. At least i'm not working! Want to try another weekend? Same venue?
  3. Any updates? I've not managed to get on the facebook thing.
  4. I'll try and get along but harvest is about to kick off so might not have much time. Almost certain to make it if you pick a rainy weekend! Any thoughts on a venue?
  5. Jo, I'll go for the 2nd June date if that's still ok. Brakes fine, just needed a proper work out to clean them up.
  6. Sorry to hear that Jo, I'd got a good deal on a Travelodge too. Might be able to make June 2nd, what later dates had you in mind? Only reason is that just started getting some shudder under braking from rear; suspect new discs might be in order, but need time to investigate/change. If it's into August/September then work gets really busy. Apologies for the delay in replying.
  7. Think there may be some confusion with Up Rev and Revup. To be honest I'm not 100% on this but as I understand it Revup relates to later DE engines fitted in the 350Z; I know my GT4 has this version fitted, its an 05, so from then on until the HR engine was fitted, somewhere around 07, all DE engines are probably Revup. Basically the rev limit is raised to 7K, probably a few other ECU tweeks, which give another 20HP. The HR is a different engine altogether; another 10HP and a 7.5K limit. Up Rev is essentially a new ECU programme by an outside company (Up Rev) that can be done to all 350/370 engines? Try this thread for more info or ask one of the tuning companies on here.
  8. Go on then, let me be the first. Please put me down for the Cornering Masterclass day.
  9. Received mine today, thanks mate. Also came with a comprehensive set of printed installation instructions which was a real bonus as I wasn't expecting that. Just need to find some time to get it fitted; won't be this weekend, hopefully the following one. Will report back.
  10. Er... I appear to have been usurped. Count me in for a wall calendar please.
  11. Count me in for the DIY option please.
  12. Couldn't agree more. Been a subscriber for a long time but not for much longer. Never really been the same since Harry Metcalfe sold up and moved on. Perhaps he could see the writing on the wall even back then. Like it or not everything seems to be going digital.
  13. Sorry guys, must be a north east colloquialism. Clearly I have been living up here for far too long and am starting to go native; I'm Essex born and bred.
  14. I thought that parking in our hemmel was a good idea; keeps away the worst of the weather. The local feral pigeons have given me cause to review that decision! Have no wish to see them suffer; just exterminated. So far just resorted to poking them off the rafters with a long stick as they start to roost, hopefully they'll get the message. I feel shooting at them will just leave holes in the roof.
  15. No Worries. I'm sure there'll be another time.
  16. If the clutch isn't slipping then probably not the friction plate. If the release bearing was away then you might expect noise when the clutch pedal was depressed, not the other way around. Could you have lost some oil from the gearbox? That's my two peneth anyway, hopefully someone with a bit more transmission experience can comment. Think the clutch is a dual mass type so could be other issues. Used to have a Skoda with a lot of miles on it and it used to rattle in neutral until you pressed the clutch. Still did loads of miles with it in that condition.
  17. Count me in. Any one else from the north east? Appreciate it's a bit short notice.
  18. Well, I'll do my best to be there. I had briefly considered going down to the Lancashire meet organised by Rob350, so this'll be like popping round the corner!
  19. Welcome to the forum, nice car. Pretty good garage too! assuming that's where you keep it.
  20. I would be interested; it would be a good excuse for a run out. Perhaps a link in the North East thread might stimulate some more interest? There have been few expressions of interest in a North East meet but no one has yet come up with a date/location perhaps this could be a catalyst. Do you have anything more specific in mind for location/timing? How come Middlesbrough?
  21. I'm afraid the Z has just fallen off mine; the screw fell out! I'd like another please if you're still doing them. In fact I'd take 2 and keep the spare key on the other. Cheers
  22. Think that must have been the long way round to Alnwick...... Kielder water maybe, or via the lakes? Nice 370 tho'. Welcome to the forum, the North East definitely needs a meet sometime soon?
  23. Just to echo the previous posts about yesterday; great day, loads to think about. A big thank you to Paul, Colin and Jo at CAT Driver Training and also to SuperStu for pulling it all together.
  24. OK put me down please. Preference for the performance driving but drifting looks really good too, so if I've missed the boat with the performance day put me down for drifting. Mid week or weekend, June or July.
