    350Z Seats

An optimistic bump to see if anyone has anything available. Z is now in great shape ready for sale (refurbed exhaust from Y pipe back, just had a full service and currently having some minor scratches attended to which they did whilst it was being serviced ). It is going up for sale imminently but given I still have the wearing to the driver's bolster, I thought I would have a last go at seeing whether anyone had any seats knocking about so I can sort that before it goes. I'll be devastated when this car goes - I've dragged the "jobs for sale" on long enough - the missus doesn't believe me any more! Thanks,

    Hinges

Thanks Alex - I know what my job is this weekend then!

    Hinges

Thanks Alex. Adjustment that moves the hinge in and out (as opposed to backward and forward)? I accept I'm being stupid but how does that work?

    Hinges

Hi all, I've got an 05 Coupe Z. When I bought it the door was catching on the sill/strike plate, and the door would move up and down when open which told me the hinge/s were knackered. Other than that though, everything was fine, the door lined up and was tight to all the seals. I sourced a second hand top hinge and replaced it. The bottom one seemed fine. Now the door shuts smoothly and doesn't catch anywhere. However, it doesn't sit tight on the seals (wind noise around 80MPH and I can push the window out with my hand) and the line across the door and the rear panel doesn't run flush. It's straight, but the door looks like it is standing proud a bit (which would make sense for the wind noise). My question, therefore, is whether different hinges were made that are a different size (so in my case creating a bigger gap from door pillar to door which would also push out the handle end). I've shoved the strike plate all the way back to pull it in and it hasn't made any difference so it's not that. When I changed the hinge, I did notice that the number on the new one was different to what I took off (I can't remember what it was now but say the one that was on was 43 and the one I put on was 53) but I understood that they were all the same size so didn't think much of it. Anybody know if they did make different sizes? Maybe the one I put on is from a Roadster if they're different. Thanks,
  5. Hi, Does anyone have a stock y pipe lying around? I was changing my exhaust before selling because it was blowing. A kind fellow member sorted me out with a back box and a mid-section. Sadly I bought one of those cheap Y Pipes off eBay and it doesn’t come close to fitting. the result is that after hours of grappling with rusted exhaust bolts, I now have a Z with no exhaust on it! does anyone have one they’d be willing to sell? thanks

    350Z Seats

Yeah would be interested. I've just thought, I assume the leather ones are powered? Mine are manual. Not sure how I would wire them in!

    350Z Seats

Hi, My 350Z has the fabric seats and, inevitably, the driver's side bolster has worn through to the foam. I wondered whether anyone had swapped their stock seats out and had a driver's side fabric seat available or, failing that, a set (leather or fabric) that I can swap in. Cheers
  9. That's great mate, thank you. Have sent you a PM
  10. Long shot but I wondered whether anyone had a 350Z exhaust knocking about. Devastated that I need to sell mine in the new year (will be hearing the pitter patter of tiny feet!) and so I've been having a good look round to see what needs doing before it goes. I think the Y-Section back needs changing - the pipe on to the flange on the back box has been welded a few months ago but I think the lot just needs to be changed. Wondered, really, whether anyone had changed to aftermarket and had the stock one lying around. Thanks!
  11. Would be interested in this but likewise would need to know whether single or dual system?
  12. Hi all, Just come home after a few weeks away and started the Z. Sounded like a bit of a grinding noise when it first started but don't know what that was (it hasn't done it again and I started it a few times!). However, I'm getting a weird noise from the clutch. When it's in neutral and I move the gear stick from side to side I can hear a metallic noise at the end of travel. Feels a bit clunky when going in to gear. Also, when the clutch is up it makes a whirring noise - disappears when its depressed. I haven't noticed it before. Moves fine without clutch slipping. In the event it makes any difference, the pedal has been squeaking for a while but assumed that was just the fork joint (which I was going to sort this weekend!). I'll take it for a drive tomorrow to get some warmth in to it after a few weeks of it being sat but any thoughts as to what cause might be? Thanks
  13. Are these seats still available Jay? Would potentially be interested in the tan ones
  14. Thanks for this. Is Bank 2 the drivers side or the passenger side do you know. Hoping it isn't the cat, flew through an MOT a couple of months ago (and think the light was coming on before then). Will check the wiring this weekend though
  15. Hi, First time post having been a 350Z owner for a few months! I've been throwing up a P1167 error code lately. I have reset it a few times and it stays off for a while before eventually coming back on. Car is running fine but would like to get it sorted. Standard exhaust system fitted. I can see its an O2 sensor and I'm guessing it's probably dodgy. From my research it looks like this code is the rear one but does anyone know which one it is? Also, does anyone know how expensive they are?! Thanks,
