  1. I appreciate those points, but I believe we are on a less stable platform with Trump. Trump is a child and will do something stupid in Syria to **** off the Russians and we'll be in the same boat anyway. Trump has also promised to invest 'significantly more than currently' in the US military machine. He's planing on cracking some heads too for sure. P.S. Why is p.i.s.s. in the profanity filter, it's not even profane, it's just slang?
  2. BBC has a nice article on 30 things that Trump believes. There are some real hum-dingers in there to use the colloquialism.
  3. Atleast hes less likely to go to war than clinton How'd you work that out? Not disputing it, just curious?
  4. It is truly staggering, but not just that, it's the way the world is going. Greece, 4 years ago in deep crisis voted for a government that did not exist when the crisis began. They then voted against a bailout packet that would have saved them Then the Brits in a fit of unbelievable selfishness and pent up anarchy voted to leave the Euro, an institution that we have been a founding member of for over 40 years, but when the going got tough, the Brits just walked out and gave up. Truth is, as we all know, half the people who voted exit just wanted to make a statement, never thought it would happen. Lesson in there for all of us. Then the Americans voted Trump. Hey, at least the Russians will be happy. Until Trump bombs the ever loving @*!# out of Syria. We are living in the age that will be marked as the age in which democracy failed. Too much diversity, too much choice and poor education standards have led us here, where we deserve to be. I give the human race 200 more years, tops.
  5. Never mind, ordered a US one with miles and kms on it, mine's a US car, so at least it'll work perfectly, and then I'll have a spare (my current one) to play around with. Still looking for a JDM one with 280km/h on it if anyone sees one.
  6. Anyone who ever said "it's like taking candy from a baby"...
  7. Likewise, I was looking for this on your site, and there is a similar product, but it didn't seem clear if it was exactly the same as the one seen in this thread or not. PM me your best price shipped to Athens, Greece if you can please. Cheers.
  8. Hey! I'm a Brit in Greece, and also use the UK community for my advice and parts and stuff. Of course we have to be careful for anything that is LHD vs RHD, but most stuff is compatible. If you need any help finding something, give me a shout. We also have 2 super-helpful trader members that carry second hand parts aplenty. Jon @ Emperor and ZMANALEX (^above ), both top guys who usually have everything you could need in stock. Mine's a 2003 US car by the way, imported to Greece in 2006. Welcome!
  9. Wilo, sorry to hijack, but this is a good opportunity, cos mine is going in on saturday to have every single item related to the clutch replaced. I've bought disc, pressure plate, bearing, slave cylinder, master cylinder, flywheel, and a braided clutch hose. To those of you who could undertake this work, would you charge a lot more or only a little more, on top of a clutch disc and flywheel replacement (cos he's already given me a good quote for that), to do the cylinders as well? And is there anything else I should do that I haven't mentioned while all this is going on? Cheers guys
  10. That white, kitted 300zx on ebay, I'm with Ekona, kill it with fire. to be fair, it's just the body kit that ruins it, the rest of the car looks great. Sorry, missed this reply til now.
  11. Have you tried to have something done about it? Other poster is right, it's a safety issue. Pretty disgraceful.
  12. Have you recently changed tires? If so, what sizes did you fit (rear needs to be about 1% to 3% larger in diameter)? If not the tires, then maybe a wheel speed (ABS) sensor, curious that it happens only after driving hard though.
  13. A charger is fat beast, wouldn't handle ANYTHING like the S14. I absolutely love the Boss kit, despite being quite a big hater of muscle cars. I have my own ideas for finishing touches that would take away some of its 'chargerness', and make a it a bit more JDM.
  14. As an obvious Silvia fan, what do you think of the boss rocket bunny kit? I am so seriously considering picking up a banged up s14 and going for it. I think it looks spectacular, what do the Silvia crowd think of it? This image is hotlinked from speedhunters.com, no rights inferred or infringed
  15. Are there any 205s still with their original panels? I've driven a 205 1.9 plenty, again back in the day, of course, back then it felt like a rocket, but I don't put it anywhere near the 'grale and GTiR, they are an a higher level (my opinion, ya know, others might disagree). Trouble is they all fell apart, like most French cars ultimately do. Stratos, mmmm, but I can't get past the ridiculous looks. Great rally car, idiotic road car. And we are talking about using these homologised cars on the road after all, which is what prompted my original statement that there really isn't any competition (as road cars) to the 'grale and the GTiR.
  16. Yep. Looks mental, drives mental and goes like stink, Ive been out in a few 400hp ones and they rather take ones breath away Seeing as I love pointing out where Aashenfox has missed the boat a bit, rally derived hatches also include the 160/185/205 GT4's, Audi Quattro, Glanza/Starlet, Mazda 323 GTX and GT-R, Golf Rallye, Escort Cosworth, even a Lotus Sunbeam at a push - if you can find them the T16's, RS1600 and 1700's, 306 Maxis and R5 Gordinis will make a bit of money in the next few years as well Id have thought. But the winner for me is always the 'grale, they are just a masterpiece to drive, so much character and just all round lovely but the prices have gone from "steep" to "comedy" in the last few years It;s all education, and it's all good, however, I didn't miss the boat on this one... I was well aware of (most of) those cars, I even owned an original quattro back in the day (er, back in the day being the late 90s, it was a piece of crap if I'm honest, it had been horribly abused and its head gasket went after I'd had it for 6 months, so not really all that representative), so here's my retort... Peugeot? Not on your nelly. Audi quattro, hardly on par with small hatchbacks Glanza/Starlet, come on, might as well have thrown a fiat Uno turbo in, these are cardboard boxes with wheels. Fords...ok, I'll give you that, they got a few. Golf Rallye - one of my favorite cars of all time, but mentioned in the same breath as GTIR and Integrale? Meh... Where the 6R4? lol I'm with you on the Integrale, I'd prefer one to a GTIR, but hten I'd prefer the bat sh1t crazy 3.0 clio to any of them. If I remember my old Top Gear episodes correctly, a number of F1 drivers had the Clio in their perfect 10 car garages.
  17. There are, and I've read them all. What I can't find is any guide that starts from what I have and ends with Nissan HIDs through 06+design headlights. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the info I need can be picked from various guides, but as I say, having not got my head under the bonnet yet, I have a lot more questions than answers. Don't worry, I'll wait til I[ve got specific questions that I can't find answers to and go from there, I'm probably seeing it far more difficult than it is.
  18. Sadly, no, they are dog sh1t, they take MINUTES to warm up, it's ridiculous. I need to replace a headlight anyway (looks like it was kept in a place where sun fell on the drivers (your passenger) side all day, so the one headlight is yellow and semi-opaque, while the other is fine). I know I can polish it up for a temporary fix, but screw it, I'll go the whole hog for blacked out 06 setup, they look so good and the stockers look shite, polished or not. :/ Sargara, yeh, I've read just about every article out there about this, and the trouble is the variation in models (to add insult to injury, mine's a US, which again has slight differences). I think I'm going to do the relay harness/repin the plug job after all, but I find the article (linked above, about re-pinning the plug) somewhat confusing at first glance, I expect it will become clearer once I'm under the actual bonnet. Thanks guys. P.S. jayrishi, sorry for the hijack, I tihnk I'm done now
  19. Correction to my previous post. some of the JDM ones go up to only 180, but ARE in KPH, such as the one in your advert Jon. I guess this is due to low speed limits and limiters in Japan. there are others, such as the one burgs just sold in the for sale section, that go up to 280, it's that type I want.
  20. Check local law to see if you need headlight washers and autoleveling fitted too. Law? What's that? I live in Greece. (seriously, not a problem. I'll adjust them myself for proper pattern and it'll pass the GR equivalent of MOT, and if it doesn't, I'll take it somewhere else where it most definitely will. lol ) Don't get me wrong, if they can't be adjusted properly I won't use them, I'm not into blinding people coming towards me, sounds risky.
  21. The ballasts and igniters are the same on all models, you don't need face-lift specifically.. Its a lot more complex fitting to halogens, you have a 6pin wiring loom on your car compared to an 8pin plug in HID headlights. Have a read of: http://my350z.com/fo...ml#post10579372 He details which wire needs to go where if you want to do the conversion. I've seen that. Can I not just buy the 8 pin harness though and be done with it? Please enlighten me if that's a dumbass question. Thanks.

    brake fluid

@OP, don't take any risks with your brakes, buy all new identical fluid. I have every reason to believe those two bottles should be the same. Would I risk it? No way, when it's only a few quid a bottle.

    brake fluid

I hope that's a typo... DOT 5 is silicone based and not for our cars at all!!! Surely you mean DOT 4 or 5.1? If you used DOT 5, and the entire brake system wasn't brand new (brand new lines, brand new cylinder, brand new calipers, etc, ANYWHERE the fluid went), then you have contaminated your DOT 5 with glycol from the previous DOT 3, 4 or 5.1 that was no doubt used before. DOT 5 will also damage your brake cylinder as it does not lubricate (cylinders designed for DOT 5 have their own lube), but more than that, silicone based fluid is not recommended at all for cars with ABS, though I don't know why. If it wasn't a typo and you really do have DOT 5 in your car, you're going to need to change or at least thoroughly flush every single part that brake fluid has gone through. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DOT_5
  24. If you haven't bent a steering arm too, I'll be astonished. but don't worry, I picked one up for 15 quid off Jon @ Emperor for mine, or Zmanalex will have one too I expect. Sounds like you were lucky to see the brake lines, hope you have a word with whoever fitted them? (If it was you, sorry mate, maybe punch yourself in the face a bit? lol). I've read a few articles on brake line installation on the Z lately, and most instructions seem to recommend an extra bracket, probably for this reason. I'm sure you know more about it than I do, just thought I'd mention it. Get it on a flatbed mainly since you can't know all of what's happened underneath the car until you lift it, you may end up doing more damage.
