  1. I really fancy an integrale one day. The only direct competition for the GTiR really in terms of rally-bred hatches. But I'd sell my soul for a Renaultsport Clio v6. They are quite expensive nowadays, but they are the ultimate hatch, there is nothing that even gets close to the craziness of a short wheelbase, mid engine, rear wheel drive 3 LITRE clio. I've never driven one, but owning one is on my bucket list.
  2. I hear ya totally. Rarer than rocking horse poo over here...unless you want the 2wd version. lol I've seen one genuine one in 14 years in Greece, in traffic, and I heard the dump valves before I saw what it was...as it should be.
  3. Yeh, it's a good price, I've been looking at this conversion for mine. In fact, while I've got some of you headlight guys on the line... I have an 03 US base model, no HID (though someone added aftermarket). If I get a ballasts, igniters and wiring from an 06, then d2s bulbs and the headlights linked above, I'm good for a full HID 06+ setup, right?
  4. Cheers. So gutted I missed it. Most JDMs read up to 180 that I've seen. To the buyer, if you wanna make some quick cash, you know where to find me. Cheers.
  5. Top man, I sometimes wish I was still in coventry.... ....but not very often!! j/k, I do miss the old place, I'll be back at the end of December and for new years, for the first time in many years, celebrating my eldest's 5th birthday at my mum's place in Leamington. I won't be bringing the Z though, sadly. It's not ready, but even if it was, I still would have trouble fitting it in that little square cage they say your carry on has to fit in, cos there's no way I'm checking in my Z! Have you seen how they handle suitcases?
  6. SithOllie can you do me a favour please mate and have another look at the photo you took of the speedo in kph, if you need to, and tell me what it went up to? 180 or 280? Thanks bro.
  7. I've driven a lot of hatchbacks, a lot of fast ones. The one I miss the most? My Mini Cooper S with a grand in bolt ons (200hp). There were two things about that car better than any other hatchback I'd driven, three if you throw in the bonus of 'very responsive to cheap mods'. Those are: Fastest steering ever. It;s like using a 12 inch wheel even though it's not a 12 inch wheel. It still turns the requisite 2.5 turns, but just feels faster than almost any other car I've driven, it's weird and you'll only really notice it when you first drive it, then you'll get used to it. It turns in like a monster. The second is the chuckability, the size is literally perfect for the handling capabilities and power on offer, and it's a twitchy little beast, lift off oversteer is almost as fun as drifting. Just an idea, I enjoyed it more than my EP3 Type R and it was quicker too. Make sure you get an early model with supercharger, turbo ruined it, plus its a fat pig the facelift, visibly larger. But it's still a car you buy with heart not brain, expensive little bugger in just about every way. Make sure the transfer gears for the water pump in the supercharger (yes, the water pump transfer is in the supercharger, no kidding, stupidest design EVAR!) and the steering pump have been changed (both have a service life of 100k miles max), apart from that, standard stuff when buying.
  8. Hm...he has made no progress and was apparently avoiding you. I'd say if you are not over the moon with whatever he has to say, to go and get your car back. Once the original post is removed, there is no point locking, the thread will be removed as it's completely meaningless. Poor form to do that by the way, not having a dig, just saying (as a very experienced moderator of other forums) that to edit your content to the point of simply leaving a hole in the forum with a meaningless topic is a bit of a no-no, like posting without searching, etc. Like I say, no misunderstanding mate, just letting you know in as un-condescending a way as is possible using only text.
  9. Not as good as stock, simple as that. It's a fine replacement, will do the job, but stock fans flow more and stock radiator radiates heat more efficiently. That's not to say that someone replacing a 50000 mile radiator won't see an increase in cooling performance, but that'll be more down to the new fins and internals than the design of the rad itself. Even knowing and understanding this, I would still replace with Mishi, personally, due to reasons stated: A new radiator will always be more efficient than an old one, barring huge design differences of course.
  10. Hi Jon, thanks, yeh, if the right hand gauge goes up to 180, its MPH. If it goes to 280, it's KPH. As for whether or not the odometer is incrementing km or miles, I don't know if there is any way to be sure without testing in situ using gps, but I'm not too bothered about that anyway, I just want kmh on the speedometer.
  11. Hi folks, as title! Preferably with 6500 redline, but not bothered. Not bothered how many kilometres it's showing either, as long as the dials are in KMs and the unit is unmarked. Thanks!
  12. Am I a bad person when I'm glad that idiots do this? I sold my EP3 Type R to someone from the villages (think Greek version of Farmer John and his retard son), kid was 18 years old. I was like 'this is a fast car, make sure he knows what he's doing'. 2 weeks later I had the ****er on my phone, his son had rolled the car 5 times (never even told me if the boy was alright or not, but I'm assuming he was) and he wanted to blame me for selling an unsafe car. Since he was swearing at me down the phone, I told him to basically fk off, at which point he started threatening to 'send the boys down'. I told him to send whoever he likes, and I'd send them back in jiffy bags. Shockingly, nobody ever turned up. I later learned that he tried to sue to the Honda dealership where he had the car inspected prior to buying it off me as well. Some people just need euthanasia. My only regret is that the father wasn't in the car as well when it was crashed. Yeh, I'm an orrible you know what. Sue me.
  13. Good ones. Ferrari Testarossa managed 12 years too.
  14. As title, looking for a brake caliper dust guard shield plate thing. You know the one. Sits behind the discs and calipers and stops crap eating your inside pads. From a Brembo car. I found the other three, but Mr Righty Front is elusive, the bastard. I'm in Greece, but I'll be wanting it shipped to somewhere in the UK, don't worry about that. Or maybe you can 'frisbee' it if you've got a good arm? Not too bothered about condition, as long as it can be rescued, I was planning on refurbing them anyway. Thanks in advance!
  15. Few cars reached 10 years of production largely unchanged. The S2000 is another, can't think of any others off hand (that are worth talking about, no econoboxes ), can u?
  16. Test drive in gran turismo.
  17. This this this. All day long this.
  18. Doesn't look quite right on the car either, cheers Jetpilot for the heads up on the quality. I still think the best front end on our car is stock with Mines lip or Nismo v1 bumper. OEM+ ftw.
  19. Oh mate, don't even get me started about the GTiRs over here. I was also in the market a few years ago. Went to see the first two from adverts, looked underneath... "erm, where's the 4wd system?" "this is the 2wd version" "lol (I actually laughed out loud), bye...." Second one... "erm, where's the 4wd system?" "What do you mean?" "GTiRs are all 4wd, this is a FWD" "wtf?? Are you serious? I bought this car as genuine" "lol, bye..." Basically, the story went on like that. Every single one was an engine conversion from a boggo sunny. 2nd hand car market over here has a level of dishonesty which a Brit could never even imagine, it's a way of life. 3 of the last 4 cars I bought I found out were clocked back over 50k miles. I'm sure my Z has done a lot more than shown, it's par for the course. Unreal, but hey, at least no rust over here.
  20. And to carry on a trend, after each update, I'll post some greek hotness.
  21. So I thought I'd post an update, only got one new pic, this is after it was returned to stock ride height with the HSD coilovers (see attachments at bottom of post). The Greddy skirts and the Ings lips front and rear make the wheels look even more sunken since they bring the body further out in all directions, spacers are on their way, should arrive today/tomorrow. Parts sourced so far: Fitted: HSD Monopro coilovers Rays wheels and new Barum Bravuris 3HM tyres in stock sizes Rear light clusters (stock, second hand, from an ebay breaker in Lithuania) Not yet fitted but in hand: Exedy oem clutch disc, brand new Exedy oem pressure plate and bearing, brand new eBay chromoly 17lb flywheel (130 quid, will post a review later, but since it's a chunk of solid metal I'm not anticipating any issues) Clutch master cylinder brand new Clutch slave cylinder, brand new Stainless braided clutch line, brand new Front control arms, both on both sides, second hand from Jon @ Emperor Door lock actuator from Jon @ Emperor Fuel filler cap actuator from Jon @ Emperor Steering arm final section (somehow original was bent!) from Jon @ Emperor UK driver's seat switch from Jon @ Emperor (now I'll be able to have tilt and slide on the passenger seat! Since mine's a left hooker, I will have two drivers seat switches, one on each side! I hope the motors and mech are present in passenger seat, lol 2 new rear wheel bearings from ebay brand new Eibach spacers 20mm front, 25mm rear, brand new. Still looking for: Primary driver's gauge cluster, preferably JDM in kilometres A new key (will get from stealer brand new) Exhaust (open to offers, want some noise but not teeth rattlers) A rear driveshaft CV boot 2006 HID headlight ballasts, igniters and other wiring 2006 compatible black headlights
  22. Good enough. Mine's a US car with a Euro cluster (I think, it's hard to tell :/), I'm guessing it'll swap in, but it looks like I might have missed the item now...can't believe a JDM cluster went same day the ad was posted, gutted. Thanks guys.
