  1. She's fine with it, I'm not sure I'm completely ok with how much time SHE spends with him though, she turns him on several times a day, there will be a custody battle if we split, that's for sure.
  2. Glad it's sorted, and don't worry, your Zed will give you plenty of opportunity for future successes using percussive maintenance, the most satisfying kind!
  3. Harry is a small fan heater. Harry the heater. My wife and I will be starting a cease and desist legal proceeding because this is clear theft of our intellectual property, we've been calling our small fan heaters Harry for over 16 years. They should have called it Vernon. Vernon the vaccuum.
  4. Right back at you from sunny cold Greece!
  5. P.S. You can take my Hondas away, you can put me in a Nissan, but I loved my AP1 S2000 and my EP3 Type R, so I will always have vtec in my soul, long may it kick in......yo.
  6. Both are beautiful cars from every angle, let's not let nostalgia make us hate on what is also a spectacular car (the new one). I prefer the old one too, but the new one is amazing mechanically and aesthetically. It's the price I find a bit hard to swallow (of both old and new if I'm honest). ZeeZee, am I to understand that you no longer have the NSX in your avatar? If not, why not? You better have a good excuse.
  7. I thought they came across more awkwardly and without chemistry than in any TG, seriously, some of the dialogue seemed unnatural (because it was even more scripted than TG ever was).
  8. The easiest way to gauge that, would be to ask a member with stock suspension (I have coilovers, sorry ) to take a meter rule or similar, and measure from the highest point of the arch to the floor all around with teh car parked on a perfectly level surface (multi-storey car parks are good for this), while you do the same. As another poster said, it is also important to know EXACTLY what size tires you are on. I doubt that you'll be able to understand anything by someone's arbitrary guess at the measuring of a gap between two things that don't actually line up well enough to be accurately measured (tire top and arch). There's also a big difference between 25 and 30mm. 5mm actually. 25mm is something very small, it's the width of the average man's thumb. If you have a 25mm arch gap all around you are probably on lowering springs, I have more than that and as stated, I'm on coilovers (lower than stock but admittedly not much, Greek roads don't allow it). Do the arch to floor test, it's the only way to be sure, I'm sure someone can pop out to their garage and do the same for you
  9. No doubt a modded ST is a FWD beast, I'd love to have a go, Focus is one of the few hatchbacks I've not owned.
  10. More noise and drama than a Z? You must be driving yours wrong! Just kidding, but seriously, there are few cars with more noise and drama than a Z with an agressive exhaust, I;m kind of wondering what you meant or what you're comparing to, cos my 350awhp E92 was better in every conceivable way than the Z, but less noisy and much less drama, even with an Akrapovic exhaust, the engine sound is just not comparable (N54 sound is nice, but VQ=sex).
  11. In the s2000, whenever I saw another, no matter what else was going on, clutch in, 9k salute! 6k salute for the z. Lol.
  12. Understood, apologies, don't want to put you guys in an awkward position. Thanks for the fair warning.
  13. My mother bought one of those 'ludes brand new. I was 12! lol. Great cars. I remember it looking really exotic in its time, my mum had taken me out to the car park to pick me up from school (boarding school, I was getting out for the first time in a couple of months, I remember the day well), and she turns to me and says 'guess which one is ours?', of course I looked around and pointed out the flashiest car I could see, yep, it was the prelude. Don't remember if she had any issues parking it, but my mum ain't normal, she's a petrolhead, has her advanced driving license. After that she had a TVR Chimaera, MR2s, A Celica GT onen of the first e46 330CIs, and now at 62 she just traded in her CBR 600 special edition for the new Triumph street jobbie, can't remember what it's called. Crazy mother.
  14. I hear you guys, that was my generation too, I'm 39. I was the same for a long time, boxing was rubbish for a long time, but recently it's picked up a lot, give it a chance. There ain't much hugging going on these days. Gayweather didn't help the sport with a boxing style the equivalent of Italian football, but there are loads of other great fighters now and the next 10 years has the potential to be glory days again. OK, there aren't enough decent heavyweights, I'll give you that, but in the other divisions, stuff is kicking off. Sipar69, there was a fight in 2005 that surpassed Hagler Hearns for me, Castillo Corrales I. What a fight. You should all watch Lomachenko vs Walters at the end of the month, it's going to be a goody.
  15. Believe it or not, I am actually planning on attending Coventry WITH MY ZED, yep, I'm going to drive it from Athens, Greece to my Birthplace in the dull west midlands, even the missus is up for it. I will make sure to bring with me a mobile disk with every episode of Star Trek ever made on it, so that any club member (*who owns the original media*, yeh, right) can take a nice backup from me in digital form. Yes. That. Nice and legal. lol.
  16. My bad, but in my defense, we are easily roused.
  17. I hope Craig doesn't mind but I took the liberty of doing a little paintwork on his front lip. I think this compliments the skirts and I wanted to see it as I plan to do the same to a v1 bumper with these skirts. I like it with the black lip.
  18. More pics here... https://www.vividracing.com/catalog/chargespeed-bottom-line-frp-rear-lip-caps-nissan-350z-z33-0308-p-51715.html
  19. I was about to pay for the real thing from vivid racing in the states, with import duties and all of that, would have been a grand for add-on skirts (ouch!), but they ARE the best looking skirts on the car, so I would have done it. Dude! I love you! Save me a set.
  20. How many times do you see an aggressively driven FWD car lifting a rear wheel on high speed corners? Now imagine if that car had a wing pushing the rear downwards, how much better balanced would it be? Hatch, coupe, saloon, doesn't matter: What does matter is the angle and location of the wing, but that's equally true for RWD cars. With FWD you're balancing the vehicle, as opposed to pushing the rear down for grip onto the driven wheels with RWD. If you're cornering at 100mph airflow doesn't give a hoot what wheels are driven, it only cares about playing silly buggers with dynamics. If you found that you couldn't steer at that speed, then something was massively wrong with your setup. BTCC alone proves this: <snip> Don't know about you but I haven't driven a lot of touring cars on tracks lately. Again, they have complimenting front (and more importantly underbody) aero. But yeh, I'm not gonna argue further, I know you have a point, I have mine, all I'm saying is don't put a big gay wing on a stock Skoda Octavia and expect to still have any steering response or traction from the front wheels at 100mph. @floydbax, the FTO was one that slipped by me, I never have driven one. I always wanted one, some say best FWD car ever. Well remembered. Gotta ask ourselves though, how much better would it have been if it was RWD?
  21. So! I'm a bit of a closet boxing fan, I spend a lot of time watching boxing, old and new on youtube. I'm no aficionado, but I loves me a good bout of fisticuffs, as long as it's someone else on the receiving end, lol. So yeh, after a pretty poor decade in the sport, it's having a bit of a revival in the last few years, some exciting fighters and lots to discuss! So let's start with the two big current talking points... 1) Was Kovalev robbed? And... 2a) Does Nicholas Walters have enough head movement not to get brutally outpointed or knocked out by Lomachenko, or 2b) Can Lomachenko's largely untested chin handle a full strength Walters hook on the inside? On 1) I haven't actually seen the full fight yet, so I can't comment, but from what it sounds like, if you're a technician, you might go for Ward, as the judges did, but if you're a fighter, you'll think Kovalev because of his moving forward pressure style. What it comes down to for most people is the fact that in a close round, traditionally you give it to the champ, as the challenger's job is to TAKE the belt from the champ, and if you can't do that, you don't deserve it. On this premise alone many would say that Kovalev got robbed. I'll fill in after I've had a good look at the whole fight. On 2) I really don't know. A puncher always has a puncher's chance, and Walters is a puncher, and Lomachenko's chin is as stated, largely untested. There's no doubt who is the better boxer, but will that be enough? I'm going for Lomachenko. Additional late 2016 talking points... Deontay Wilder vs Anthony Joshua? I want to believe that Joshua is the next Lennox, he's certainly no Ali though, sadly. I still think he can take Wilder. Please no MMA talk in here. That is NOT the gentleman's sport. Cheers
  22. no when you accelerate the weight shifts to the back of the car lifting the weight off the front wheels giving less traction. i didn't know that. Thanks! Worth mentioning as well the hilarity of wings on FWD cars. All they do is make the driving (and steering) wheels lighter, the faster you go! Epic lulz. well the focus RS has a big wing on it so I guess this is a bit awkward for me No worries, with front aero to match and diffusers, that's a whole different car, plus it drives the rear wheels more than the front. But yeh, as clarified above, the wings that are on top of the wheels are fine, it's the ones way out back that make econoboxes do wheelies (figuratively speaking).
  23. That's a HUGE statement covering a huge array of setups. I'll agree, under certain conditions... 1) It's a spoiler, not a wing 2) It's not at a high AOA 3) It's on a FWD hatchback, not a FWD sedan If the circumstances are the opposite in any area... I.E It's a big gay wing, not just a little spoiler, it has an aggressive angle of attack generating significant downforce, and it's on the boot of a sedan behind the rear wheels, as opposed to on a hatch on top of the rear wheels, then you will not be able to steer at 100mph. I know this from personal experience (very scary). Of course, this does apply to rear wheel drive cars too...and also no argument that if you need the rear more planted, then a wing will give you that, regardless of driven wheels or size/shape of car.
  24. Preferred new TG, even with ginger minge, to TGT I'm sorry to say. Perhaps that's cos I'm in it for the cars and while I enjoy the banter of the trio, it's really car reviews I want to see, TGT disappointed me in this aspect. I would have liked to know more about he BMW rather than see some confederate plank drive it round a track while telling us nothing of interest except that he's obviously had too much sex with his immediate family members.
