  1. And the best part is, if you crash it, it can only look better
  2. Seriously though, it's always an hour and a hotel. That shouldn't even be up for discussion
  3. I already wrote "an honourable mention" but an honest man is another. Or heir, or hour (which Stu already brought up).
  4. Ah right. That's why I'm after a guide on how to do it properly rather than just painting over the top. Everything on youtube seem to be for major stuff and looks scary though.
  5. Wouldn't bother me, a common language is only a good thing afaic. Though I'd be a bit miffed if I had to learn a new language.
  6. Wasn't wrapping to cover it up, just liked the look of the gloss black roof, which is why I want to sort it first so it won't ruin the wrap or cause further damage to the paint / panel.
  7. Aww I missed out on all the grammar stuff and everyone's covered what I wanted to say, even the extra stuff on 'aitch' and initialisms.
  8. That sounds really cheap for the paint kit. They seem to be double that price everywhere else.
  9. Great now I can't un-see that... At least it looks like the DS3. There's worse Citroens to look like When night comes though, and all you can see is the light patterns, everyone is gonna think you're driving a Citroen
  10. Thinking of dipping my wheels, but one of them has a bit of curb rash. so thinking of sorting that first. Found this guide, which seems to detail the repair process pretty well, but it's from 2008, so all the pics are gone and a lot changes in 8 years. Is there another more up to date guide? Or is it fine to just follow that one? Do I just need some Metalik, Strato Silver paint and clear laquer? All seem pretty cheap in Halfords. Cheers
  11. Was planning on wrapping my roof in the near future, but noticed a rust spot the other day. I assume it's best to get that sorted before wrapping? (And then wait a month for it to cure before doing anything?) Are there any guides on how to deal with it? Is it just a case of sanding it down and painting over it? Any recommenced products? Anywhere I can get some K23 (Universal Silver / Silver Alloy) touch up paint? Pics below. (The other bits of brown are just leaves, living next to trees sucks ) Cheers
  12. Reckon that will fix the initial problem of it popping too? I did replace the relay already though...
  13. Did think about DRLs, but not sure I like em. Make it looks like a Citroen. They do look awesome, but not at $400+
  14. I had initially planned to do just that, but after a bit of Photoshop I wasn't a fan of how it looked.
  15. Disabling the ESP is just a button. ABS I think you have to pull the fuse or something, can't remember, but Google will have the answer
  16. A targa Z? Well it definitely looks better than the Roadster. Had a google and it looks like a couple of people did it. Saw a Targa 370 too.
  17. Just checked and you bought it in April 2011 That's not half bad depreciation then. It's only lost 2/3k in 7 years.
  18. Looking good. Didn't fancy a swimming pool instead?
  19. Got my Z 3 months ago, a Universal Silver 07 Rev-Up DE, and I've been itching to do something with it ever since. Not looking at anything major yet, just little touches to get into it, then maybe some more serious stuff next year, but thought I'd start a log regardless. Done: - Stubby - LED parking lights - Tow hook cover - Wiper delete (+ boot weight) - Boot latch mod - 350z-uk forum sticker - Bose line-in mod - Shift gate realignment - 25/30mm spacers (courtesy of TORQEN) - Dip the reflectors, emblems, door handles, and wheels matte black - Poly tranny mount In Progress: - Rear louvres - need painting and installing - Paint front lip / grill black - Debadging / shaving emblems - clean front, lone Z rear - Relocate front plate - L bracket off front splitter to one side - Wrap / paint interior - probably just restore the OEM look minus the bobbles - Eyelids - decide between wrap or stick-on - Mod rear bumper lights - probably just clear out the fog - Side / front splitters - DIY out of PVC - Repaint wiper blades - Restore and roll arches Plans: - Steering wheel cover / pad / re-trim - Replace gear knob - Handbrake cover + gaiter - Some kind of tablet install in the cubby (with OBDII display) - Tint taillights - Aly undertray - Canards - Sort rust - Burnt exhaust tips - More poly mounts / bushes - Front bumper undertray brackets Anyway, here's how she currently looks: And this is the aim in the next month or 2: Or this if I decide to tint the taillights and dip the wheel nuts:
  20. 2 problems with that: 1) I'm not sure it's the amp. 2) I like to fix stuff, so would prefer to find a solution and attempt repair first.
  21. Love: - Performance - Aesthetics - Community - Heavy steering - Sound Hate: - Crappy bose - Crappy tranny - The revs fly up when I clutch in, meaning I have to wait for them to drop again before I can up-shift - Can't see the curb when reversing unless I adjust the mirrors down - Seat / steering wheel position (I'm tall, and ideally I want the seat further back and the wheel closer to me) Other: - Lights are fine as far as I'm concered - Boot space is yet to be an issue - Road noise is usually drowned out by music, but it might be annoying if I had no music and spent a lot more time on the motorway - Don't mind the scratches on the plastics - Handbrake doesn't bother me, I just leave it in gear
  22. Wasn't there some talk of a new S platform (Silvia). It could end up in that. Z34 is £30k R35 is £80k So there's a nice slot around £50k for an S16.
  23. Personally prefer manual handbrakes too. I just don't get along with the electronic ones, and manual means handbrake turns and drifts
