  1. Didn't expect that, you only just got the centre console painted. What's made you want to sell, or more importantly, what are you changing to? Great advert though, GLWS.
  2. I didn't know they were supposed to foam. My windshield washers kinda half spray / dribble out, but I just hold it until there is a decent amount of fluid on the window.
  3. You want the Gates belts This should do the trick.
  4. 71, wow. Someone's getting on a bit Happy birthday, mate. Don't eat too many Werther's Originals.
  5. Took the reflectors off and cleaned up the damaged areas. With the reflectors off, i noticed they were covered in silver paint at the edges, so it looks like someone has resprayed the front bumper and left them on while doing so... Redid the reflectors as well, this time with them off the car.
  6. Well, anyone who's seen my other thread will know that the front bumper did not go to plan. That being said, the handles and rear + side emblems came out great. The front looks shite up close, but from a distance... if you squint... it almost looks okay Everything needs a wash, but apparently I have to wait a week for it to fully cure before doing so.
  7. So a month later, topping it up every week or so, I've finally managed to get back in what I drained out (minus about 2 pints or so that I spilt or threw away)... Had the bumper off, so checked the levels, both tanks seem reasonably full, but not completely, and the fill port itself is practically overflowing. I'm guessing that before I drained it, both tanks were fully-full, and now for whatever reason they are refusing to fill up that last bit...
  8. I would have sanded back the damaged areas, prepped it properly, and blended it into the existing paint as best I could, but I hadn't considered that any new paint / lacquer could react with the existing stuff. So it looks like it's a full respray or nothing, which I still wouldn't mind attempting myself (assuming it won't turn out more expensive that just buying another bumper). Paint4u sell the exact colour code I need, and the reviews suggest the match is excellent.
  9. Thanks for the recommendations veeg - I'll keep them in mind However, considering used bumpers seem to be £70-£100, getting another bumper or trying a DIY respray are sounding like more favourable options, but whether that would be a full respray or just a spot repair I haven't decided yet. I don't know much about painting, but assuming I can do a reasonable job respraying just the damaged areas, would there be anything I can do to the parts that weren't damaged to prevent this happening again? I'd still like to "dip" the lip below the front bumper grill, but obviously don't want the paint there to react the same way. Could I cover it in some more coats of lacquer to protect it and prevent the "dip" penetrating through and doing whatever it did last time?
  10. But the door handles and side + rear emblems came out fine... Just a bit dirty and in need of a wash.
  11. Was gonna mention that colder weather = worse MPG, but if you've had it for 2 years (and presumably cars beforehand), then I'm guessing you are well aware of that this time of year. Is the MPG readout significantly lower too?
  12. If they weren't wasting space with trees and bushes you could fit a load more cars in. Take a spade and make your own space

    Poor zaffy

They come in petrol variants too don't they?

Guess it depends how long / frequent journeys with a full house would be. When I was a kid I struggled not to fight with my brother when there was only 2 of us in the back, never mind 3 stuffed in there. Could always use the wife as a divider, but not sure how that'd go down. Personally I'd prefer a Ranger too, but thinking outside the box, 7 seats may make the experience more pleasant. Though maybe I was just a nob and your kids are delightful

    Poor zaffy

Ranger / L200 only has 5 seats, so which kid are you gonna strap down to the pick-up bed when all the seats are full?

That sucks. Claiming on insurance or does it not include natural disasters? How well does this meet your requirements?
  17. ^Get Mondo to make you one to match the Z interior. Probably the first time a car forum would be excited about a booster seat
  18. Not quite, I think they have even higher debt (though it might not be with NHS bursaries etc) 5 year MEng (4 taught, 1 placement) Tuition fee = ~£9k x 4 Maintenance loan = ~£6k x 4 Placement year fee = ~£1k Placement year maintenance loan ~£3k Rough figures, but that comes out to ~£64k No way I'm sticking around to do a doctorate.
  19. ^There's sites / apps that provide a system for what Payco mentioned: https://www.yourparkingspace.co.uk/ http://www.parkonmydrive.com/ https://www.justpark.com/
  20. Handling... Bottling it up.. Same thing, right? As much as I don't enjoy the situation, getting upset about it doesn't achieve anything. Have a little whinge, try understand what went wrong, and learn from the mistakes. Plus it's kinda insignificant when compared to my £60k student debt.
  21. FFS Sandra Don't fancy a quick blast at lunchtimes?
  22. 350Z has height adjustment. You say you like the car, if that is the only real reason you want to sell, could you not just swap in a replacement seat with that feature??
  23. Was only half serious about the black Still think I can manage a reasonable spot repair respray though.
  24. From the description it almost sounds like you work where I used to... but that was in Essex. They were in the process of merging 2 sites (just down the road from each other) and were somehow intending to fit 2x as many cars in the car park. My contract ended last year, so I'm not sure what happened, but it sounded like it was destined to fail. As for a solution, try find someone who lives near you / en route with a parking space then offer to give them a lift in return for use of their spot. Personally I'd rather drive myself, but I bet most people would love to have a chauffeur drive them to work and back, especially in a Z
  25. Cos the majority of people do it that way and it's designed with that purpose in mind. Seeing as the plan was to do the lip below the front bumper grill, I was going to get it on my paint eventually. Admittedly the damage would have only been on a part I wanted to paint anyway, but it was never supposed to do any damage in the first place...
