  1. I spent 2 years browsing Autotrader fantasising over what car to buy. Don't let your dreams be dreams
  2. Get a gen 1, keep it for a year, then get a gen 2?

  4. I'm sure I remember reading that EBC were budget brakes and got rather mixed reviews, and generally recommended to get something better for track use. He probably gets a good deal on EBC. Question is whether he is pocketing the extra profit or passing the savings on to you.
  5. My understanding is that the usual 25mm Eibach spacers for a 350Z are S90-4-25-019... Number of Holes: 5 Bolt Hole Circle Ø [mm]: 114,3 Thread Size: M12x1,25 Centering Diameter [mm]: 66 Track widening per axle [mm]: 50 Thickness [mm]: 25 Rim Offset [mm]: 15 I've seen it stated before that the same spacers will fit a 370Z, but checking compatibility, it recommends S90-4-25-050... Number of Holes: 5 Bolt Hole Circle Ø [mm]: 114,3 Thread Size: M12x1,25 Centering Diameter [mm]: 66 Track widening per axle [mm]: 50 Thickness [mm]: 25 Rim Offset [mm]: -15 So the only difference is "rim offset", but I can't work out what that refers to or whether it is important... And while I'm asking questions, can anyone confirm that S90-4-30-036 will fit? Most compatibility checks say they don't, but i'm not sure if that's just because they are pushing the legal limits of the tyre poking out. Number of Holes: 5 Bolt Hole Circle Ø [mm]: 114,3 Thread Size: M12x1,25 Centering Diameter [mm]: 66 Track widening per axle [mm]: 60 Thickness [mm]: 30 Rim Offset [mm]: 15 Anyone spacer gurus?
  6. By the looks of it, the only reason this hasn't sold yet is because the umbrella isn't included
  7. Looking like 11th March atm. Open to any other suggestions though
  8. Relevant. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/113367-rust-spot/
  9. Tell me about it... Got valid excuses though: - It keeps raining - Have to let the paint cure before washing it
  10. ^According to the 2nd link I'm in an F postcode... Do insurers not consider the 2nd half of your postcode?
  11. Are they legal for a 350z? Or is it only for show? Thought you were only allowed them on classic cars.
  12. Funnily enough, insurance was a massive deciding factor for getting a Zed for me. Was cheaper than just about everything else, and by a significant margin.
  13. Wheels done on 1 side... Can't tell in the dark, but I've left the wheel nuts silver for now. Will decide whether to do them black tomorrow and get up some better pics in daylight.
  14. I'm just impressed it isn't torn to shreds like the majority I see.
  15. What are we looking at? The front black plastic lip hanging down a bit? I'd guess a screw came loose and needs tightening / replacing...
  16. Those wheels look amazing. How come they changed from pink to purple though? Just the light?
  17. My calipers are covered in stone chips. Just accept it along with the ones on the front bumper. You could get them touched up, but it's like a hydra, fix one, and 2 more will take its place...
  18. Price comparison sites are your best starting point and I'd bet that Admiral / Bell comes up cheapest. I paid <£1k at 22, license for 1 year, 10k miles, 0 NCB. At 26 you should get a good chunk off that, but it's heavily dependant on postcode. I'm not sure any of the insurance providers on here will cover you. You're probably old enough now, but most of them wanted X amount of years driving, ideally in a powerful RWD car. Worth asking anyway, it's only a 5 minute phone call, just don't be surprised when they refuse or tell you £4k+ That being said, cheapest isn't always the best. E.g. Admiral / Bell won't cover the cost of your mods etc.
  19. ^Aye, tap washers. "Penny mod" is just the name, but it's recommended to use these instead. However, I still found they places extra stress inside and makes the little rubber nipple tips fall off.
  20. A man after my own heart. However with uni and no income, it doesn't matter how tight I am. Plus I have no idea where or when I want to settle down.
  21. I guess the only thing left to do is mod / change the springs. You can try the "penny mod" but I found it damages the rubber casing. Best bet would be replacing them, Torqen sell them or try PM Alex.
  22. How far did you move the latch? When I moved the latch all the way down my boot almost flew open by itself...
