  1. Can't help with your problem, but as for a good Nissan specialist, there's Atkin in Malton. Bit of a trek, but worth it.
  2. When you say exterior, would that include headlights? I'd be willing to be that it'd be cheaper (and easier) to just buy a facelift car.
  3. Those are just the ratings for those tyres. You can go for better ones with no problems. Just means the tyres are capable of heavier / faster applications, which can only be a good thing. Put your reg in here and anything it brings up should be suitable. Or wait for Dan to come along and convince you to get unmixed MPSS
  4. Ayy, look at you memeing Not saying I agree with it, I've just been polluted by the internet and desensitised to this shite.
  5. Oh dear... It's a "meme", but is to be taken in the literal sense - send nude (naked) pictures. http://knowyourmeme....emes/send-nudes
  6. Show off, with your fancy futuristic tech But where is your umbrella gonna go?
  7. Yep, possible. Shouldn't be too difficult either, not sure on price though. Zmanalex or Jon@Emperor can probably quote you on all the bits you'll need.
  8. Gotta black out the side Z emblems and handles to match now though...
  9. Yeah, I'd remove the text from your lights before someone complies
  10. Does look great in blue. What swayed this over the G37?
  11. These Seem to do the job. Very bright, but the bulbs themselves are a bit unsightly and rather huge. Doesn't bother me, you only notice if you start inspecting the headlights. However, the size means you have to pull the headlights up / out to install them. There are smaller options which probably are just as effective and easier to install (just remove arch liner). You'll also want to put some electrical tape around where they connect so they don't fall out.
  12. Depends what you're after... What: Budget? Loudness? Raspiness? Personally I think the best thing to do is watch exhaust videos and pick ones you like.
  13. Can only go on what i know from Admiral, who ask you to declare all mods (though the options are relatively vague, e.g. exterior decorative, interior, multimedia, supercharging etc). Admiral don't cover the value of mods, so theft of the unit itself wouldn't factor into it. However, if someone stole the car or caused significant damage breaking into it (which you wanted to claim for), they may say that a new stereo increased the likelihood of that happening and refuse to pay out. As for an accident, they could claim the new stereo distracted you?
  14. New stereo is another one that should definitely be declared...
  15. At that rate I half expected this to show up at my door They are definitely sexier... and go with my black rims... Hopefully, being anodised, they will stay looking good and won't be defiled by stone chips like the rest of the Z either
  16. Is the Z51 back on the table then?
  17. Christmas has come (very) early. Adrian sorted these out for me late yesterday evening, got them shipped, and somehow I had them in my hands before lunchtime today... Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to install them yet, but that gave me plenty of time to admire them... well, after I'd fought through a mile of foam packaging wrap, and 6 bubble wrap bags. Now, aesthetics might not be the most important feature of spacers, but damn do they look good. It's almost a shame to have to install them hidden behind my wheels. It's a bit of a premature thread, but I'm just excited to be doing proper mods that really transform the Z (not that I'm knocking my beloved forum sticker), and if I don't let it out somewhere I'm gonna end up trying to install them in the middle of the night. Will hopefully be able to get on it tomorrow and have some before and after pics, but for now I'll just leave you with these:
  18. Not sure on brakes, but I was told that it's fine not to declare things like a K&N oil filter.
  19. ^Stickers and paint should both be declared. May depend on the insurer, but with Admiral, those both come under "exterior decorative changes". They have an effect on your premium and must be declared. Not to be a nob about it, but not declaring them would just give a way for an insurer to void your policy. In your own words, it's stupid.
  20. I think a lot of people use the excuse that it's so easy to just unplug and pretend it's not there However, the question does raise more about other mods: Tyres - I don't think anyone declares these because you don't have to. - Performance ones allow you to drive harder, but also stop better. - Budget ones are more dangerous. Brakes - I believe you have to declare these. - Performance ones allow you to drive harder because you can stop better. - Budget ones are more dangerous.
  21. Can't a throttle controller also be used to reduce throttle sensitivity, and with it the chance of losing control or causing an accident? Insurer would never see it that way, but I'm just saying As for the engine failure, insurance doesn't cover it directly, but surely having an engine failure isn't exactly a safe situation to occur at "70"mph on a busy motorway?
  22. ... You've Probably Never Heard Of. Popped up on my feed and thought you guys might find it interesting. For once, the clickbait delivered, only knew of maybe half of them and found it rather enlightening. Linky. Personal highlight was the Transtar Racing Dagger GT...
  23. I tend to use Parkopedia for this sorta thing. You can check quality of the spots with Google Maps too if you like.
  24. Oh really... 22, I like scotch, classic rock, naps, high-fibre cereal, and being a grumpy bastard
  25. Looks like you got the answer you wanted, but because I'm nosy, care to share what Lexus that'd be?
