  1. I've got a fully stripped out boot and find that it messes up the weight distribution and handling.
  2. Well yeh, but I think we can apply some common sense. The aim is to diagnose why the car feels like it does, not the road, so other factors (crosswinds, road condition, passenger weight, whether you skip leg day, or if you have a fat arse etc) can be disregarded
  3. Well the wheel diameter is surely the same, so the only issue is width. Can't see why it wouldn't fit, but the boot carpet might be raised slightly.
  4. But the comment was a generalisation in regards to what the OP was doing, and I think we can assume they aren't snapping on / off the throttle / brake. Plus the guy driving in that video admits to driving an unstable car and presumably had no issues when the spoiler was installed. Obliviously you can drive in a straight line wrong, hence the inclusion of the word "really". The same way you can eat a sandwich wrong, but not really, and you have to be doing something silly. However, to clarify the intended point of my statement - It's hard to drive incorrectly in a straight line at constant speed. If all you are doing is trying to keep the car straight, it shouldn't feel unstable, and if it does, it is most likely due to the car not the driver.
  5. - The OP is complaining about instability at high speeds (presumably all the time), not when snapping off the throttle onto the brakes - A video conveys a small percentage of what is actually happening and is felt by the driver - It's hard to tell exactly what happened from the video - To me, it sounded like he started to ease off, the back started to to kick out (due to the reduced stability from having no spoiler), it got sideways, THEN he gave up trying to save it and just stomped on the brakes to stop ASAP
  6. 370z wheels require "shank" type lug nuts rather than the usual "acorn" style for most Jap stuff and the 350Z.

  8. Read the description. Spoiler had been removed and made it unstable.
  9. So where was the driver error? I think you missed the point. I'm not saying you can't lose control just driving in a straight line, but that a car feeling unstable is down to the car not the driver.
  10. From past experience on private roads in Mexico, mine feels stable as owt at 140 and in high speed corners, even with my mismatched budget tyres. Around town is a different matter and it skids about all over the place if you aren't gentle. I'd discard driver error as a possibility too because you can't really drive in a straight line wrong...
  11. Don't start feeling special, I do it to everyone I think without the swastika that the Nazi eagle carries, most people would relate it to the USA more than anything, but eagles in a similar pose are used for loads of stuff. Could always go for a slightly modified version e.g:
  12. I'm not sure all eagles have racist connotations... especially ones with 2 heads...

    Audi S1

350Z is apparently faster to 100mph from 0, so from 40 it should walk an S1.
  14. How do you fail to fit such a small car in such a large space...

So how long until your peel it all off and go back to wrap again? Why'd you ditch the brushed aly wrap anyway? Surely the dip won't match the gear knob and handbrake as well or be as shiny? Were the other bits not as easy to wrap and colour conformance is more important there?
  16. On your laptop, you can just: - Right click the image itself - Click "copy image" - Then paste it directly here and it will show straight up
  17. Desktop makes everything easier, but for mobile, assuming you're using the site rather than the app... You need to get the image url / address itself, e.g. http://i.imgur.com/4m3wul5.png Then just paste it here and add img tags e.g. [img=http://i.imgur.com/4m3wul5.png] It should be available in this format already, but I'm not particularly familiar with mobile because it's just a massive ballache compared to desktop
  18. Meant to ask if anyone was going, but been busy and didn't even get round to going myself. Know a few people that went though.

  20. Interesting read, but doesn't quite add up (regardless of being Americanised and hard to relate to) Many (internet) arguments are about completely trivial stuff that will have no real impact on anything, so why do people become so defensive and emotionally invested?
  21. Agree with all the reasons in the OP and Hugh's recommendation. To be blunt, tough shite for her if it's an inconvenience. She's asking for a favour and it's not up to her to determine what that favour is.
