    RE050 Ecopia.

I've checked the n/s/r tyre & it's on 5mm, in fact both rears are 5mm. Last thing I could've done with was a tyre replacement so close to pay day, so if handling is compromised that much I'll get another one ordered on pay day next month so the rears are new & matching. Thanks for the info everyone.

    RE050 Ecopia.

Mine were changed by the previous owner to the size I have, had no issues with it. For the record the RE050 Ecopia is a Bridgestone tyre. I booked myself in with Black Circles to have on fitted on Saturday so I'll have the correct tyre.

    RE050 Ecopia.

Due to a foreign object wedged in a place that needs the tyre replacing, is the Ecopia RE050 a suitable replacement for the RE050 on the rear of my Z? Current size is 255/45/18 99Y. I can get the same tyre elsewhere but it seems they're phased out for the S001.
  4. Sounds like pulley / alternator whine to me, possibly power steering. Have you checked it with the bonnet open to narrow it down better?
  5. I thought that was the panel that had interior sensors in just in case someone breaks a window?
  6. What is the point of the extra pulley if people are going to just remove it & fit a shorter belt?
  7. Chances are your bluetooth isn't compatible with the system in your car.
  8. Is this the original kit from 2005? Unless you or someone else changed the clutch on a like for like basis, or abused it for it to wear early, I can't see how it's the fault of LUK. We do a lot of their kits at work & never have any comebacks. I had the clutch done in my sisters Golf over xmas, symptoms were it felt like a misfire at idle, lumpy, but it ran fine. It turned out the DMF had gone out of balance. New LUK kit was fitted & it's been spot on. How old is the kit?

    PCV valve.

This question could be answered by Torqen - PCV valve, is yours a genuine Nissan part? If so, is this for the driver or passenger side, or are they both the same? Can these be cleaned with brake cleaner? I don't seem to be having any issues that I know of, but it's coming upto oil change time & was wondering how long the life of these are & whether it's worth replacing it as preventative maintenance?
  10. Seen this some weeks ago, again today around 4.15pm, flashed the headlights & got the thumbs up from the other driver
  11. Glad you've sorted it & it's nothing major. My sensor got stuck in the summer, I had to disconnect the battery for 20 mins to reset everything, it's been fine since. As I say, I'm not far from you if you ever need the ECU's scanning if you have a light on.
  12. I'm available Saturday sometime if that helps, earlier the better though. PM me.
  13. I've got Nissan Datascan if that helps, I'm only 20 mins from Cheadle.
  14. Do you mean the EML / engine management light?
  15. Many people doubt the use of colour charged waxes & whether they actually add anything at all. I used Orange Crush on my last car, yellow 406 Coupe & loved the finish it gave. Sharp, crisp & super smooth.
  16. Considering some Z'z have xenons, to me they still look very halogen in appearance, nothing like the crisp white light you get from modern day bulbs.
  17. I've tried an SGS2, SGS4 & my current Moto G4 & neither will stay connected to the module. Apparently the module has bluetooth stack 3 in it, newer phones are stack 4 according to the reply I got from Bury.
  18. I also had the P1147 on Sunday. I'm going to check the obvious first (see my topic below this one). Failing that I'll probably just put a Blue Print sensor on it. IIRC it's the blue connector. Buy a decent brand one, not some cheap & nasty thing off ebay or ECP.

    EML & P1147

Setting off from the lights today & the EML came on. Car was fully upto temperature. Read it with the ELM327 with the above code, cleared it & carried on. It hasn't come back on yet. I've read a number of topics on here that suggest replacing the sensor. I'm firstly going to check the connector & wiring to check all that is ok, then make sure I've got no vac leaks after the MAF. I don't I do have as no work has been done sonce an oil change in October. I'm right in saying, correct me if I'm wrong, it's the drivers side, after the car, the one that clips to the underside of the gearbox? Blue connector I think? Thanks
  21. This was parked on Crouchley Lane in Lymm, Cheshire this morning. Was a 57/07 with Rays alloys. Front bumper seemed to be that from a silver car?

    SGS rear struts.

Thanks for the info. Just to clarify, mine doesn't have the Nismo spoiler, just the standard lip one. I don't want to make hard work of closing the boot than necessary, if you know what I mean.
  23. During this winter mine don't seem to be holding the bootlid up unless you hold it in position fully & slowly let go. I have the standard lip spoiler on, but just wondered if it was worth going for the ones for the Nismo spoiler for extra lift?
  24. Another for Dr. Leather wipes, I then nourish them with Juicy Details cream & buff off any excess once it's been absorbed.
