  1. By the time I pulled the phone out & was trying to focus, the phone was more interested on focusing on the dash, hence the blur in the background. I'm pretty local to the area & haven't seen it around before.
  2. Spotted parked up on Davyhulme Road this morning. Had Speedhunter graphics on it, looks to have been wrapped, big wing on the rear & the usual stuff. Excuse the poor pic, phone didn't want to focus, yes I was the passenger. The work appeared to have been done pretty well, didn't look like it was cobbled together. Not my cuppa tea though.

    RE050 Ecopia.

@Ekona: I've not noticed it, but I was looking in my wing mirrors at the time to check what was around me. @Jack94: Fronts are both on 4mm & are RE040.

    RE050 Ecopia.

Just to update this. Both tyres were exactly the same brand / model as the 2 removed, both fitted within a week of each other, so roughly 100 miles apart. I sometimes get a weird twitch sensation from the back when going round long, not too tight, sweeping bends. It's kind of like power to the back wheels is being cut slightly. Are the tyres still bedding in, if they need to be??
  5. It's probably this: Only last weekend I did the front discs & pads on the 406 Coupe V6 which have the same Brembo 4 pots up front. The sliders are stainless steel, the calipers aluminium. A reaction occurs between both surfaces which cause the slider plates to lift a little, thus reducing the gap in which the pads fit. Ideally you're best off removing & splitting the caliper, remove the slider plates (which will be a little bent) & cleaning the surface underneath. You can buy sets of sliders for under £20 on ebay along with the new screws. I too had to grind the sides of the pads down to accommodate the reduced gap.
  6. Accompany it with the bumper tuck, you won't be disappointed.. I've not seen what the rear of that exhaust looks like, but you should do it.
  7. I'll also add myself, whenever you're good to go.
  8. I'd also like to get one of these.. When you're ready Flyboy.
  9. Could it be a vacuum / breather line on the induction side of things that's come off? I've had that happen on a previous car & it caused a whistle sound on idle or light throttle.
  10. I bought a Stoptech one from a trader on here last year, which I'm still yet to fit. I went down the flushing the fluid through to remove any air as I was convinced there was some still in the system from when it was replaced. I then wrapped the braided hose line in exhaust wrap & the pedal feel is much better even when hot.
  11. Pulled up this morning & spotted a black Z with aftermarket spoiler & black Rays, so if you wondered who was parked next to you when you got back to your car, it was me.

    RE050 Ecopia.

Arrived there early today & they set to work straight away. I asked to see the tyre & it did indeed have Ecopia further round the tyre. On the Blackcircles website there's no mention this. Before anything was done I checked the n/s/r tyre & to my surprise that also had Ecopia on it, but a little further round the rim. Looks like I have a pair of those, so I told them to carry on with the fitting. Will give it a few days to see if handling is affected & then more than likely just order another of the same to keep it balanced. The 2 guys there loved the bumper tuck & were both chatting away with me about the exhaust & the Z's in general.

    RE050 Ecopia.

I've checked the n/s/r tyre & it's on 5mm, in fact both rears are 5mm. Last thing I could've done with was a tyre replacement so close to pay day, so if handling is compromised that much I'll get another one ordered on pay day next month so the rears are new & matching. Thanks for the info everyone.

    RE050 Ecopia.

Mine were changed by the previous owner to the size I have, had no issues with it. For the record the RE050 Ecopia is a Bridgestone tyre. I booked myself in with Black Circles to have on fitted on Saturday so I'll have the correct tyre.

    RE050 Ecopia.

Due to a foreign object wedged in a place that needs the tyre replacing, is the Ecopia RE050 a suitable replacement for the RE050 on the rear of my Z? Current size is 255/45/18 99Y. I can get the same tyre elsewhere but it seems they're phased out for the S001.
  16. Sounds like pulley / alternator whine to me, possibly power steering. Have you checked it with the bonnet open to narrow it down better?
  17. I thought that was the panel that had interior sensors in just in case someone breaks a window?
  18. What is the point of the extra pulley if people are going to just remove it & fit a shorter belt?
  19. Chances are your bluetooth isn't compatible with the system in your car.
  20. Is this the original kit from 2005? Unless you or someone else changed the clutch on a like for like basis, or abused it for it to wear early, I can't see how it's the fault of LUK. We do a lot of their kits at work & never have any comebacks. I had the clutch done in my sisters Golf over xmas, symptoms were it felt like a misfire at idle, lumpy, but it ran fine. It turned out the DMF had gone out of balance. New LUK kit was fitted & it's been spot on. How old is the kit?

    PCV valve.

This question could be answered by Torqen - PCV valve, is yours a genuine Nissan part? If so, is this for the driver or passenger side, or are they both the same? Can these be cleaned with brake cleaner? I don't seem to be having any issues that I know of, but it's coming upto oil change time & was wondering how long the life of these are & whether it's worth replacing it as preventative maintenance?
  22. Seen this some weeks ago, again today around 4.15pm, flashed the headlights & got the thumbs up from the other driver
  23. Glad you've sorted it & it's nothing major. My sensor got stuck in the summer, I had to disconnect the battery for 20 mins to reset everything, it's been fine since. As I say, I'm not far from you if you ever need the ECU's scanning if you have a light on.
  24. I'm available Saturday sometime if that helps, earlier the better though. PM me.
  25. I've got Nissan Datascan if that helps, I'm only 20 mins from Cheadle.
