15k is mad money lol...2k for a spray seems more reasonable...maybe £2500 now. How many body shops would be willing to do a color change. I get the feeling they make way more money through insurance jobs and quick repairs. If it can be done in a week.

theres another side of youtube with similar content just purely foreign language. Shame translated subtitles arent always available

you speak some Japanese? my mate had to learn it back in the day to be able to play games 9 months early. Think I should...good video

Haha Nismo way more road presence and little fake vents less funny looking plastic.. Exhaust difference lool..come on..no contest. Supra is newer, slightly on the cramped side. Would test drive one just to see.....but loving the nismo 370 right now. Feeling to go out for a spin...ah well..

One website is claiming it wont be turbo but naturally aspirated 2.4. Lol Subaru will apparently stop taking orders later this year.

They have confirmed on their Social Media as long as the person does not have more than 6 points for insurance. Just add fuel They are also offering free breakdown service for older Nissan cars owned by NHS key staff. Great gesture indeed Lastly Nissan Sunderland factory have supplied 100,000 face masks to the NHS never too late to get on the list if youre a nurse, doctor or key staff. Some sites remain open. https://www.nissan.co.uk/covid-19/nhs-car-loans.html

LC500 is more of a heavy luxury cruiser. You have to be 100% sure you want it. Ive seen the car in person 2 years ago. Its not a huge car at all. Guessing it all the insulation and heavy materials used to shore up the car that makes it 2 tonnes. I wonder how much weight its shed for this year. jdm clears look super expensive. Are there any Japanese vendors you can buy directly from?

It is an evolution of the VQ series engine. I guess that would be down to the engineers at base to comment on. They do design and build the other engines including the race cars as well as the Nismo GTR. Renault were planning to develop a hybrid version of this VR engine for the Q60 it looks like that got shelved. Any chance of that hybrid engine being transferred to the Z line looks out of the window. They could have put the standard VR in the Z 3 years ago but chose not to. Any changes now will be futile, the engine is already years old and comes with its own set of issues. The VQ seems more viable for now if they wish to keep making the car and selling 150 per month worldwide. As Steve O said, their quality isnt the best, Even if they made an electric in this segment by then there will be other brands doing it better. . There may be no reason to come back not even for a Leaf sports car which is basically where its headed according to this Trademark They do offer great range in the electric Leaf for a hefty £40,000. Model 3 equivalent might be better option. When speaking about performance we,ve seen with Tesla top model, the delay of their supercar, Porsche Taycan, Honda's cancelled E coupe etc that it wont come cheap or easy if thats the route they want to take in future. Due to their cutbacks. Maybe Mazda, Toyota or Honda will head that way sooner.

No, The 3.0 Liter Twin Turbo VR30DDTT from the Q60 and V37 Skyline or Q50 is a Nissan engine developed from the Nissan Le Mans R390. Mercedes only supply the 2.0 Engine for the V37 Skyline Sedan in Japan. The engine is 4 years old and debuted with the Q50/60
-
was done by independent garages but yeah. Only gripe was it sounded terrible and didnt seem much faster. I dont think they can charge more than £35-£40,000 for this car regardless Lol Will still appeal to lots of US folk with the 4 year old TT engine ripe for tuning. After watching one youtuber go through injector issues with his q60 ill say its not as straight forward post 500hp... Yep Nissan are downsizing, lowering production numbers and expectation to sell a million less vehicles.....Workers in Tennessee have been furloughed for the time being with many factories cutting workers and staff. Post covid I see more cuts. Any sports models depend on sales of the main events (Juke, Qashqai, X Trail, Sentra, Etc) to hit the 5 million mark. American dealers complained to the CEO on public perception of the brand as a bargain basement. Certain Model refreshes have happened but more needs to be done.

Yeah had a gander again, £56,000 for 66 plate MY17 shape but a pre facelift 16 plate I saw for £47,000. Similar mileage. Guess its the waiting game. With these cars as long as I can get use to the fact brakes are £2k and Service is up to 1k under warranty and tires are approaching 1k then I can crack on. Thats excluding Fuel, Insurance and Tax which are similar to the 370Z. Insurance is roughly the same price but if I was living in Reading I could get it as cheap or cheaper than the Nismo depending on Model year around £1200. £1300 is the standard group 49/50 price. In my area there are Mustangs galore. Mostly germans here. RS3, AMG, M, S5

Ill hundred percent take the LC,500 V8 or V6 hybrid. Prefer the V8 with an exhaust. The new one is apparently coming with weight reduction. Lol I understand dumping the Nismo only for something that makes sense or is just as good. 18 plate i almost got one of Ford at 23k a year ago. Went quick. Current Nismo is a 16 plate. So you can imagine if I sell later this year ill probably just about get 17-19k if I hold my breath. I dont even care anymore tbh lol 66 plate my 17 shape GTR start from £56000 and up. May not be the case next summer. I think a 3-5k drop is possible. GTR is 100% on my list of cars for the future. Which one depends. Id love a MY17 shape for sure under warranty directly from Nissan. Some are coming with 2 year warranty standard. So we,ll see. LC500 I can see coming down further than GTR. I wouldn't say no to a 12-15 GTR if its been well maintained and nothing outstanding. For now head down keeping the penny jar full

Freshkicks 350Z 800whp. Raced a McLaren months back. Crazy work gone into that car

Americans tend to kill it with views and subs. Seems like their content good or bad are more relatable to other Americans. Not sure how many would be interested in abroad content...... Those US "kids" seem to be the main people keeping said ZED dreams alive.... Majority of the projects I see on youtube are teens and young guys and girls spending all their money modifying, racing, drifting, and all sorts. Better than nothing I guess.... I thank them for keeping this car relevant along with Z1 and all the SEMA heads despite it being long in the tooth. Ofcourse any local and interesting channels are an added bonus Actually BrosFourrSpeed channel was the main reason for me getting the Nismo 370Z back 2017 along with AAMs and again in November. He since sold it and got the Supra and GTR.

at 18 not much of a budget right now. But since Youtube is bringing in the dough she will eventually "upgrade"
-
Endless amount of "zed girls on youtube". The only reason you dont see more is that some are not interested in being famous but are on other social media Dont get me wrong there are loads of car girls on youtube who work on their cars or race/drift cars but some seem to have the work half done for them. All about the face that runs the place. Whoevers filming is usually the real mechanic behind the scenes. Shes probably a dab hand with diy.

VERY simple yet unusual advice needed...
GranTurismoEra replied to hmale4yu's topic in 370z Technical
Nissan dealer? Wont be suprised... I use the aircon to clear the windshield regularly. Good to keep using it -
I might have read wrong or it could be "sensationalism" but because other rivals aren't offering manual options in their cars such as the Supra and Alpine. Seems like that could be the gap in the market if they can price at less than the Alpine S (60k) m2(50k) Supra at (48-54k). I suppose you can get a base Cayman for similar. Or alternatively a specced up new model Z for slightly less if that was ever an option Also based on the SEMA car they would want to offer an option for manual drivers as they seem to be increasing in the U.S. Im seeing more American social media users picking up manual sports cars now and its becoming more of a stigma for youngsters to drive automatics. Porsche and BMW seem to be one of the few still offering manual in their Cayman 718 and M2 comp. As Nissan are selling such low volume 370z per month (less than 100 cars in Europe) at the minute they could offer Europe the new car with very limited numbers similar to the MK1 Nismo. If they do that they know they wont take a hit with cars sitting on the lot forcing discounts. Again US sales will probably be the deciding factor if its any good.
-
This would have slightly more power with a manual option still there. There was talk of manual options for the Supra. Seems the uptake isnt really there. Nissan will eventually have to start giving discounts again just to shift it. Any new trimmings will make it not worthwhile tbh. R&D on a new front bumper, engine swap and tuning, other misc interior or exterior changes means they may not make enough profit to warrant the changes Supra is newer too so more appealing. Despite being smaller interior wise
-
It probably should be Nismo facelift only in limited number as I cant see them selling bucketloads here in UK. Id even say very limited edition like 100 cars in EU In US maybe a bit more as they seem more "enthusiastic" about it going by SEMA and Z1 cars. They could offer GT and Nismo trims there. They barely sell 50 370z in the whole of europe per month for the figures I saw couple of months ago compared to 150 in US. Seems to be falling overall. Have to question whether 200 cars per month in US and EU is worth making those changes for. Unless they do a final limited edition and call it a day. Say 250 cars worldwide. With a revised front bumper, engine swap and glossier interior (alcantara dash, painted or wrapped center console). Will they sell thats the thing. It will probably cost a bit to make those changes
-
Hope so, If it does happen Id be interested to see how much it would be and if so can maybe trade up as Ive never had a turbo car before. Been all NA.
-
tbh its probably more me trying to understand people. We are all aging and trying to learn and stay positive in these times thats all really.

Still a good tyre the Michelins. At least the ride will be comfortable and secure
