  1. I think the backlash against the Supra would have put many people off. Many people were no longer interested once they knew BMW were involved and the car would not come with manual. Then the car looking way smaller than the FT-1. Some would have held out for a possible Z35 instead. I dont think they want to create a new platform till electrification. Not worth it when you're still recovering from huge debts. Still at least a few years till the supposed petrol hybrid.
  2. I think it will sell more than the current Supra because Manual option A lot of Z enthusiasts dont like the grill but they know theres aftermarket ready to go Less fussy design Made in Japan despite Auto box being from Mercedes Lower price point especially the base model at "$34,000" gets more ppl in a sports car where others cant afford the Supra or have to get a 4 pot First year sales for Supra were around 2800+ second year a lot more at 4800+ The Z may still come up short due to more plain design though. I cant see why Nissan wont shift 3-5k cars mostly around the base and middle trims I agree the design could be better slightly but I think cost could be a factor. Crossover parts save money. It would be unreasonable to price it at the same level as the Supra as its using a 4 year old engine plus 370 parts. The Supra is much newer. If the rumours are to be believed. The pricing is actually interesting at $34,000 - $45,000
  3. The current Nismo has the hatch look as well. Thats the look they're going for. More F type style. I think the main thing is the grill. When I first saw the car at the unveil i was like 'huh'..Whats going on with that. Nismo works in black too. Not so much Red. I think this car Dark grey, blue, white, black. Silver not so much. Yellow is ok but could be sharper. Seems a bit too pale
  4. Thanks. I tried man. Age related wear cant be avoided. I had a newer one before. At least I avoided £5 pound car washes. Only the new Z can make up for the loss
  5. Yeah Germans end up in Cyprus. You can get a tatcham with phone notification anytime the car is tampered with apparently. Some have built in trackers. You dont want it going off when the wind blows though.

  7. you have 8 years before the possible Importation ban on Petrol. By then 20-35k should be how much they cost. Old to New so we shall see. Regarding social media depends on how fussed you posting pics as follows are temporary anyway. People get bored and move onto something else. Its still a huge expense even at 35k. Worth waiting a few years and grabbing a bargain. Since its Japan you know there will be depreciated examples ready to go. There are vendors that will import one or two but id be lying if I said its not a hard sell. The exclusivety is a selling point more so the fact its a powerful twin turbo. The Supra probably sold 900. Not great numbers. I can see why Nissan didnt bother. Cant blame them. Expect US, Australia and Japan to shift similar numbers to the Supra first year 2800+ combined. This year the Supra is projected 4000+ combined. US sold 5884 last year so Covid didnt matter much. When you look at US sales. EU sales are pretty much irrelevant Nissan actually made the right choice

  9. Stock pads aren't cutting it for spirited driving. Changing the brake fluid as well?
  10. https://www.motor1.com/news/499336/toyota-86-subaru-brz-video/ Could have done slightly better design wise especially at the back. Looks rushed.

  12. Phone up Torqen. I think they're called Hawk High Performance Street pads. Where are you based?
  13. I went with Hawk pads through Abbey, way more bite still some dust but good by modern standards. Less fade on standard discs. Better than oem
  14. They scrapped the turbo idea to remain purist. I suppose they wanted to keep the 20 year old traditions so why change. The car is now level on performance with the mx-5 and got rid of the Torque dip apparently. With some turning youre hitting 350z territory in terms of acceleration A bit like the 370 then. Only difference is its clear what its trying to be. An enthusiasts car. One thing I noticed is the grass isnt always greener. For example people complained about the 370 being thirsty. Then you look at m2,240i, golf rs and m4. They all do things better but the miles per gallon and insurance costs didnt change much in comparison to a thirsty NA V6. Driving style dependent. While I somewhat agree on the power front Japanese tend to be more conservative unlike the Germans who could release 6 models with similar power. We should be grateful they could still make an NA sports car

  16. Im also hoping the pricing is right. So many more people will be able to afford it after a few years. The base will come with standard equipment. Ive seen more Alpines than Supras. Only seen one supra since release. Hope to see this Z in the UK next summer even if its a demo. Or one person imported it in. First thing Id do is remove the Nissan badges. Then Z badge on rear
  17. I saw dollar signs and assumed. Mines still on can barely hear it Ive got AAM resonated short tails though
  18. You think youd be looking at the new Z i can see you're based in US. You can PM me i dont want to hijack the thread! The invidia sounds great a bit underwhelming compared to the 350Z. How loud is it?
  19. 3 weeks time? My mate wrapped his e92 with him years ago. The waiting list is around 3 months usually. Back then he was charging £1500 for standard wrap. I heard he charged KSI £5000 for his lambo. Not sure what they charge now.
  20. More and more are ending up on ebay for scrap. Im not implying it will become a rare classic anytime soon. Looking at the very least 20+ years for that. Anyone looking for one now can still negotiate. Imagine someone took me up when I had mine up for 17999. I think now its no longer in production I reckon you can only get good deals for a short period of time ie now before summer and possibly again this winter.
  21. lool No.... Youtube has become samey, copies of each other. Cars leaving meets been done to death. Supercars of London, Alderley edge and Birmingham chav racing type videos get boring fast. So im more interested in other content from Japan, korea, middle east or Africa even if its not in English. Surely beats "I sold my car" or "I cant believe I did this" for the 6th time in a year. Anywho....
  22. There will probably be one or two in the country at best in the first year. Once depreciation starts setting in it should get interesting. I just expect it to be rarer than the new Supra which Ive still never seen on the road
