Looks ok, Grill and Handles have changed a bit along with the lip spoiler addition. I dont think its worth 50k though. It wont take long to depreciate 10-15k. We will probably see the first one here by next Spring. Still no specs unfortunately Louvers on this specific colour would improve the look. Theyve lost the side indicator lamp due to the Z on the rear side. The headlamps have been made to have a side profile. https://www.instagram.com/p/CMu_oypnh4_/

MG are hoping to develop an EV sports coupe along with the concept E Motion below. Rumours suggest a low ball starting £30,000 pound price. Where as the Cyberster will cost a bit more due to its higher range and performance. The concept cyberster should be revealed on the 31st of March. Both will be full EV. Cyberster concept looks like a speedster but may be developed into a roadster and go on sale in UK. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/new-mg-cyberster-concept-due-31-march-500-mile-range

Sad times. They have up to 2035. There shouldn't be a rush to do this. Petrol Hybrid I can understand for the next generation 911

V8! unless its an M5

They just want it shifted. Why would it fail straight away?! If the AA/RAC did a hpi check the mechanic probably wont show. I rather go for a different one unless they shifting it for 14-15k and the car drives straight.

E brake is technology for the sake of technology
GranTurismoEra replied to GranTurismoEra's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Good points. In manual and automatic cars you could downshift and use engine braking. In an electric well, I noticed in the KIA Niro they have paddle buttons. I'm guessing one increases and the other decreases regenerative braking strength similar to engine braking. Could be completely wrong. It wont stop you rolling down a steep hill but it may help friction on a slight gradient. It would reduce the need to constantly brake while taking your foot off the gas. -
What a fun guest and host on Top Gear. Definitely inspired more women into German Motorsport. RIP Sabine Schmitz..

E brake is technology for the sake of technology

What happens when you pull the switch while moving? is there a safety mechanism that stops the ebrakes engaging or does it begin slowing down. Just wondering what the fail safe is in an emergency if brakes fail or passenger sabotage ie messing with your buttons! -

Similar reason you prefer an older NA car to an updated EV, Turbo Assisted or Hybrid. There are pro and cons to both. Less to go wrong I guess. While this might be user error nothing beats a conventional Rod and Cable handbrake -
Insurance can choose to charge extra after running their own checks. There are many accident damaged and repaired cars hpi clear. So worth inspecting very closely but if the retail is for a normal 18 plate is 23k then a CAT S with structural damage id say 15k or even less. Its structurally been damaged so may never drive the same as an original or have the same safety or rigidity.

Yeah its a manual didnt see that part. I thought it had an Electronic brake with Auto gearbox. Its actually a Manual. Not sure if its hand brake is mechanical or electronic. If its electronic I stand by what I said. Ofcourse a mechanical handbrake can fail or it could come out of gear disengaged and roll. I rather trust a mechanical system than an electronic e brake if it has one! -

9:45 and replay at 11:07 Driver left the car in gear and E Brake Engaged. Should have fully locked the wheel maybe. When I first saw this E brake tech in the Audi A5 I was miffed. What is wrong with traditional handbrake and steel cable? Is it too outdated or too cool for school? Cables could snap, still benefit from being mechanically in gear and observing old school hill safety with the wheels on lock. I get people saying my wheels are sticking out

So here we go again 3rd times the charm!

Not sure how I missed this one. I think 9 years will do that. I had mine for a year and as you saw on IG was just depression without it. This was kind of a suprise though. Usually the more comfortable ride would be a permanent path to take. -

Good mileage. My brother got one with similar miles from Glasgow. 5 hour Journey. Yep the best examples are usually far. Ive got a Nismo 370 myself. Welcome to forums!

Isnt Super Unleaded % ethanol mix?. Apparently older cars are more resistant to fuel mixes and impurities such that they can take petrol and diesel mixtures as long as the wrong fuel isnt high concentration. Well I heard that from a mechanic. Do people have to rebuild their engines to take E10? Are new cars designed to use E10 though? My colleague was telling me about E100 in Brazil. Looks like pure water vapour and recycled misc materials. If they are pushing these alternatives what about the 2030 combustion deadline. Most people wont bother converting their engines to run these new bio fuels and will the new cars just be called hybrids to get away with making ice beyond 2030 Running on E85 E100 etc?

There was a company in Germany converting GT Roadsters for a round figure to the concept Nismo Roadster. Not cheap at all. Could be a nice project and even more unique!

Got this from NewNissanZ. These might be guesstimates, but whoever allowed them to put the car in-game delivered some estimated numbers! The Nissan 400Z's horsepower number might have been revealed thanks to its addition on Project Cars 3.According to the game it has 331 kW (443.8 HP) and weighs 1,475 kg (3251.8 pounds). For comparison the 2020 370Z produces 332 horsepower and has a curb weight of 1,512 kilograms (3,333 pounds) and the 2021 Supra (inline 6) has 382 horsepower and weighs 1542.22 kg (3400 lbs) The Nismo may get 455-475hp not necessarily lighter. The M2 Competition with 430hp has around 406 ft lbs. Apparently there will be noise restrictions in Japans cities. So a hybrid GTR may be a thing one day.
