They scrapped the turbo idea to remain purist. I suppose they wanted to keep the 20 year old traditions so why change. The car is now level on performance with the mx-5 and got rid of the Torque dip apparently. With some turning youre hitting 350z territory in terms of acceleration A bit like the 370 then. Only difference is its clear what its trying to be. An enthusiasts car. One thing I noticed is the grass isnt always greener. For example people complained about the 370 being thirsty. Then you look at m2,240i, golf rs and m4. They all do things better but the miles per gallon and insurance costs didnt change much in comparison to a thirsty NA V6. Driving style dependent. While I somewhat agree on the power front Japanese tend to be more conservative unlike the Germans who could release 6 models with similar power. We should be grateful they could still make an NA sports car

Im also hoping the pricing is right. So many more people will be able to afford it after a few years. The base will come with standard equipment. Ive seen more Alpines than Supras. Only seen one supra since release. Hope to see this Z in the UK next summer even if its a demo. Or one person imported it in. First thing Id do is remove the Nissan badges. Then Z badge on rear

Need more.

I saw dollar signs and assumed. Mines still on can barely hear it Ive got AAM resonated short tails though

You think youd be looking at the new Z i can see you're based in US. You can PM me i dont want to hijack the thread! The invidia sounds great a bit underwhelming compared to the 350Z. How loud is it?
-
How can you not remember this tune?

3 weeks time? My mate wrapped his e92 with him years ago. The waiting list is around 3 months usually. Back then he was charging £1500 for standard wrap. I heard he charged KSI £5000 for his lambo. Not sure what they charge now.

More and more are ending up on ebay for scrap. Im not implying it will become a rare classic anytime soon. Looking at the very least 20+ years for that. Anyone looking for one now can still negotiate. Imagine someone took me up when I had mine up for 17999. I think now its no longer in production I reckon you can only get good deals for a short period of time ie now before summer and possibly again this winter.

lool No.... Youtube has become samey, copies of each other. Cars leaving meets been done to death. Supercars of London, Alderley edge and Birmingham chav racing type videos get boring fast. So im more interested in other content from Japan, korea, middle east or Africa even if its not in English. Surely beats "I sold my car" or "I cant believe I did this" for the 6th time in a year. Anywho....
-
There will probably be one or two in the country at best in the first year. Once depreciation starts setting in it should get interesting. I just expect it to be rarer than the new Supra which Ive still never seen on the road

Yeah they're getting the info from New Nissan Z forum lol. Either way I dont think the Nismo will be worth it unless there is a good power hike and clear differences. Id be happy with the GT or Sport versions Nismo version looks like it will be $55,000. Regarding import I dont think the vendors will wait since they haven't announced a Nismo or Roadster version. One vendor is willing get moving straight away. Tbh Id prefer a GT now. Nismo loses a few comforts that id like next time round. £48k Nismo new nahhh... £35k GT used approved excluding import duty is actually good for 12 months on etc

"this car really is a 370Z with a Body Kit and a VR30 Swap and the chassis was massaged.......heavily (more aluminum, more bracing, carbon fiber)" hence 1475kg rumours Base: 0 options. Type S: Brembos, thicker sways, coolers, other stuff. Type T: Leather, Power Seats, Heated and Cooled, Auto cruise, blind spot, etc Type ST: Both S and T Packages Each package will be roughly 5k each, ST will set you back 10k Base gets Akebonos, Sport or Nismo get the BrembosAll cars get... The 400hp Flavor of VR30DDTT The Digital Dash Android Auto / Car Play Rear Duckbill Not confirmed but will keep an eye out from Nissan USA or US Press Release.

New Rumours to be taken with a side of salt! Source claimed insider at New Nissan Z Forum The grey car is an entry-level model, while the two-tone silver example is a Type T-equipped variant, both featuring automatic 9 speed gearboxes similar to ones used on other new Nissan models. A third production Z is reportedly also on US soil, equipped with a manual transmission and the Type S package. Apparently the 3 cars are being shipped to American Dealers for review before being given to the American press. Only 2 have leaked. A white Z is still under wraps. Interesting info about Australia. Should Nissan Australia opt to bring in only the circa-US$45,000 (AU$59,000) Type ST variant, pricing for the new Nissan Z could start from upwards of $65,000 before on-road costs Down Under. Base model would be $52,000 AUD The NewNissanZ post claims a choice of four Z 'variants' will be available, comprising the entry-level US$34,995 model, a pair of 'Type S' and 'Type T' option packages, and a fully-loaded 'Type ST' flagship. Standard equipment on the entry-level grade will reportedly include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a widescreen infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Akebono brakes with fixed calipers, and the rear 'ducktail' spoiler first seen in leaked images earlier this week. 400Z name tag has never been confirmed so car most likely will be just Nissan Z outside Japan. Horsepower unlikely to be anything above '400hp'. The Nismo the insider claims will be a lot more different than the 370GT to 370 Nismo. The insider claims significant power hike and all wheel drive. A bit far fetched to be honest. Roadster or T top is still an option. Release timeline is supposedly Q2 2022 after the Tokyo Motorshow. Starting US price of $34,000 up to $45,000 depending on trim. $34,000 in US but probably higher in Japan as that price seems too good to be true. That would make it cheaper than a US Civic Type R ($37,000). Considering the price of the Supra stateside it should cost closer to 40k for base Z realistically. The top spec GT will most likely be around $45k which makes sense Dry weight 3252 lbs

Mark 1 Nismo based in Scotland has been on Autotrader for around 7 months. Hes listed it at 25k lol. I think hes just cheesed off at the timewasters. I think an offer of 17k see what he says. There are also a few mark 2 slightly overpriced though. Thats if youre still looking

Thanks, hope this helps @CalvinPomfret I think id consider it in future. As long as the magnets are strong enough, that it needs some effort to take off then it should be good. One better than having velcro I think.
-
yeah the magnet option seems the best tbh. Might have to give that a go. Im gona try the velcro plates I already ordered in a few weeks. In what form did you buy the magnets. I saw neodymium bars, rings and different shapes on Ebay. They have 3mm discs on Ebay...How do you get those smaller pieces for better effect? Was it epoxy resin liquid you used? These ok? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/small-large-NEODYMIUM-MAGNETS-1mm-2mm-3mm-thick-Round-Rings-Cylinder-Discs/132012556278?hash=item1ebc8fbff6:g:IHsAAOSwDnldkLi5 https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=epoxy+resin+glue&_trksid=p2334524.m4084.l1311&_osacat=0&_odkw=epoxy+resin&_sacat=0

you mean too wide? you can get a narrow plate but if you have a private plate you can fit less letters into a plate like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Road-Legal-Front-Rear-4D-DOUBLE-6MM-Laser-Small-Short-16-Inch-Number-Plates/133378310183?hash=item1f0df78027:g:KgQAAOSwd5Feh3NP

Two holes. Can fill and respray. You can try the bottom grey lip in the middle but youll need something to hold it in place or the motorised option. It does look off but at least can be retracted.
-
lol somewhat less mean than the 370. I hope the dash is a bit customizable and not just preset. Would be cool if you could move the nav to the dash like the Audis. I doubt it though. But should get the information needed. Well looks like theres an expo coming up around August - September The roof looks optional body coloured or gloss black. GTR brakes removed? According to NewNissanZ forum they say there should be a reveal late summer.

Same here although Its not as dashing as the current 370 Nismo but It has a more european shape to it. Just the front is marmite for a lot of people. We just need an unveil with specs and pricing. Even if theyre looking at12 months time to hit the dealers its still a good timeline for release. Really hope the 443 hp and 1475kg rumour is true. Hopefully the Nismo will be around 475hp. Apparently the car is being shipped to be part of a presentation so hopefully they release more details soon.
