Going from a 350z to a 370z - anyone done it?
GranTurismoEra replied to Yorkshire_Zed's topic in 350Z General
The 370 convertible is the only one I havent had. Ive test driven the 350 convertible. The white and blue roadsters sell quickly. -

I had 1 350Z, 2 Nismos and Now 370Z GT. Ill leave it there. Lol 370 doesn't sound as good but I prefer it. More grip at the back, more refined. Being Auto up and gone. Manual is modern manual and smoother with synchro rev 350 more raw. Road tax mehh Higher seating position and more road presence. Slightly more Torque. -
id like the gt exhaust midpipe if you didn't need it in the end.

Are there two Invidia Geminis. V2 is the £1400 one with the blue tips. I think the original is £1260 or something. Its OEM plus for sure.

Boxster/Cayman 981s or 987.2 next step, Life after Z
GranTurismoEra replied to GranTurismoEra's topic in Other Cars
Yep will check them out. Whereas the Z has no warranty claims or repair bills in 15 months at all. Full service + MOT done including plugs and coolant £500 Just brakes and tires to do. Around £1800. Then possibly gearbox/diff plus P1 service next year at 60k. £500 + basic p1 service of £100-£150. -

Ive seen a GT4 in real life whilst at a hospital parked up. While it looks small and low its still iconic. Not concerned about whats manly or whats not. We drive Fairladys lol....Id still take it as the handling, the drive and experience matters a lot. Would warranty cover exhaust valves, engine mounts or air con. I have a feeling theres some wriggling out of these with manufacturer. Engine mounts seem wear and tear. £2400 apparently Aircon unit one youtuber paid £1300 to get sorted. There was an aftermarket option for slightly less. Warranty and paid repairs come with 2 years cover. -
London proposed extra "charge by the mile"
GranTurismoEra replied to HEADPHONES's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Due to loss in VED caused by EV uptake. 😂. Maybe start charging road tax to EVs over £40k new. Should eliminate the pay per mile necessity -

Actually driving speeds up the warm up process. Does the car have the sports exhaust? Seems its already got a sports exhaust if it isnt specced. Nothing wrong with driving off straight away. Im suprised no one looked out the window. Someone left some food on my Z when i parked at the station. Maybe I woke them up. Theres more expensive cars than mine. There seems to be a stigma with sports cars. It riles some people up. Ive heard all the clichés. When ppl are in full time employment they dont have time to moan or watch what others are doing tbh. Notice hes not working at the moment so has time on his hands! Idling around the corner is a waste of time. If im already on the move might as well get going. Plus traffic builds up from 6:30 so why hang around. You can idle in traffic lol -

Id say drive off straight away but let the rotational mass do the work. The initial ignition is harsh but not as harsh as a v10 or v12 so yeah. Its funny that a pilot on 70-140,000 per year is concerned about bounty bar kids car. The plane he flew was louder and ruins lives in Hounslow Tell him its factory oem and you can't sell as youll lose money, you cant park on the street. That you wont hang around is the best you can do. Even if you were working from home and only went out once or twice he would still complain. -

Wrong move.....youre giving people a chance to dictate your life. Im not gona lie its loud enough to reach the houses across and vibration is the annoying part. If hes going to be working nights hes not going to be sleeping at 7:30 but about to start sleeping. Starting and driving off is what i did with the shorttails. its sluggish but 99% of people put up with it as the vibration is more irritating than the noise for neighbours. In my area we are dealing with 5 months of renovations. So i dont want to hear anything in future. Hes a hater. Let him move -

Thats why certain enthusiasts are sticking with NA until we have to go electric or alcohol... I went in a £100,000 911 base Carrera. Lots of swooshing, soft induction sucking and hissing going on. 400+ hp. Looks the business, goes well. The you got older GTS NA and other naturally aspirated cars that arent as quick but make a great sound at mid range to top end I guess have to make a choice of power vs near full package when spending average money. All things considered at some point could get it all depending on what you like

Wear and tear no ones covering. There are some warranties especially from the dealer that will cover failures all in the fine print. These are not covered which is understandable. Wiper blades Tyres Brake pads and brake discs Shock absorber Clutch disc and clutch pressure plate Drive belt including tensioning guide rails and roller Spark plugs Batteries PDCC reservoir Coolant All light bulbs (excluding Xenon and LED-lamps) All filters, fluids, oils and greases £3200 for 4 shock absorbers? Must be NASA grade tech 😂 -

Pay to enter the club, pay to get a drink, pay again to buy a drink for the suitor. Pay to take them somewhere else. Thats Porsche. Then Nissan you find out its the same sh7t. Basically theyve seen what others pay and youll pay that too. With Nissan theres aftermarket options....which are becoming more expensive anyway -

But you need a 67 onwards. Around £27000+. I opted originally for a 17 which was £590 mine now is £630.....Not exactly worth it for a car thats essentially 09 with minimal changes. If i was going for nismo again would be mk2 any year. Road tax wouldn't matter -

When the time comes (still early days) id be looking at a similar Cayman S or Boxster S to yours minus a few options. I couldn't afford a GTS realistically. Although the options in them are near complete. Maybe when im running the show at work 😂. Id be happy with a PSE, Sport Plus and Sports steering wheel etc. Not fussed about Suspension modes. Whats the advantage of PASM? Sport Chrono I prefer to press buttons in the center console. Makes passengers think this guy means business 😂. Ill have a look at your thread again! -

Hes only gone and factored in his finance. Also 1300 pound warranty vs £10k PDK is worth it in my opinion. Its still a mechanical thing that could go bang. My history of Germans tells me its silly to buy out of warranty. Running costs seem similar all things considered bar a few items that could sting out of warranty.
