  1. £34,995. It isn't a Vspec but its an absolute steal in that condition & in that colour. http://www.harlow-jap-autos.co.uk/uk-stock.html
  2. How did I miss this? http://www.harlow-jap-autos.co.uk/HJA084.html
  3. They managed to break it already!? lol
  4. That's the advice that's been given, be patient! It's a bit serendipitous that a Red Zed owner turns up exactly after that advice has been given to confirm it
  5. I've seen a few at £35k hence why I chose that figure - that's truthfully the lowest I've seen them go for. How much are you budgeting for running costs over 12 months? I'd already decided that getting a GTR was not on the cards for me before looking at the cost of running it as a second car. The £35k only denotes the lowest price I saw the car advertised for over the last 12 Months, not how much money I had in my pocket at the time lol In fairness, I treat buying a car slightly differently than lumping the value of it in with the cost of running it, Running a car is an ongoing expenditure you can't ignore whereas buying a car is a one-off capital expenditure or investment, if you're smart about it. Some people might also argue that buying a car on HP makes purchasing a car an ongoing expenditure. I won't argue that point because to many folk, it is. In short - If someone couldn't afford to run a GTR at a cost of a few grand a year, then they'd be an idiot for thinking about buying one in the first place.
  6. Lol - guys in the door 20 secs and his aerials been lambasted already :-) We have a new member who's been looking for a red zed without much luck - did you find your own with no bother or was it similarly difficult? Welcome to the forum btw
  7. No. My car battery was dead for a month when I was offshore over xmas last year. Alarm / immob & radio all fine.
  8. Two statements I heartily agree with. GTR's are lovely, but they are almost TOO lovely, it seems that almost everyone has one and for very good reason (because they are ace). In the end I decided against a GTR as last year, one of my friends ended up buying the Top Secret R35 GTR Demo Car from Smokey Nagata during a trip to Chiba. The thought of owning a bog-standard GTR next to that monster put paid to that.
  9. Have you seen this EVO VII? http://www.harlow-jap-autos.co.uk/7trackevo.html I'd argue that EVO would be more than a match for most GTR's actually. £37k is a bit out of budge but it looks like there's been a lot more than that spent on it!
  10. I've seen a few at £35k hence why I chose that figure - that's truthfully the lowest I've seen them go for.
  11. Not one of these "if I won the lottery" type questions, as this will require a bit more thought regarding the budget. You have 2008/9 GTR Money burning a hole in your pocket (£35k) - you fancy a new car for driving on the weekends & taking to shows. meets & generally enjoying - what would you buy? I spent a long time thinking about this and having asked a few of my friends, given they own quite a few of the types of cars I fancied, realized that every one of us had very different ideas of what we'd buy with that kind of loose cash. So I figure I'd ask the forum - there's no right or wrong answer & thinking about it / discussing it might even help inform a future purchase :-)
  12. I was in Japan pretty much constantly from 2007 through to 2009 & I'm not exaggerating when I say that wasn't enough time to see everything I wanted to. Bite the bullet & arrange a return visit taking in some of the other sights you missed, you won't regret it. :-)
  13. Didn't they plan an R8 diesel? Or am I imagining that?
  14. LMFAO Pizza and bakeries it is then! I do the same routines with my friends here who are like you. I brought 10kg lidl vintage cheddar over for my mate who lives here as it's not on the menu here. Look on the bright side, the pizza and bakeries and beer and spirits are so cheap! Good for me too, Im just eating sushi, 1/4 UK prices! Resent paying £15 for a bowl of Miso Ramen that costs £4 in Japan. UK is the worst for ripping folk off.
  15. I have potenzas on my new Zed as standard but once I pick a set of wheels it'll be MPSS all round.
  16. These guys are local to you. Pay them a visit to see what they've done in the past. http://www.premvaleting.co.uk/prem_wrapping.html http://pulsewraps.co.uk/projects/wraps
  17. Wrapping refers to applying adhesive vinyl to your car, I was a bit dubious about it but its actually really cool & you wouldn't be able to tell unless you had a look at the door card or engine bay. Wrapping is deemed temporary & costs a lot less than a full respray. Assuming a respray is north of £3k - expect to pay just under half of that for a full body wrap. Where abouts are your located BlueStraggler?
  18. If you're dead set on a glorious red zed, then you shouldn't discount the option of wrapping any other colour of Zed to your liking. My Zed was silver to begin with, a wrap later its totally transformed. Wrapping protects the old paintwork, most 3M's are good for 10 years and they are very easy to clean. In the case of matte or satin, simply avoid waxing to keep it fresh. Just so you know, there are options for you.
  19. 911's vary slightly across the models too, 991 ranges from 3.4 up to 4.0 for the RS As do the Fairlady Z's. 3.5l for the standard, 3.8l for the RS
  20. I'm with TBBK on this. Not a fan of Audi's at all especially the TT. Not to take anything away from how well they are made or how folk enjoy them - they are just too damn commonplace up here - would rather have a zed all day long.
  21. Back up to £20k now. Not sure that's going to help sell it during the winter period.
  22. Happy New Year! 2015 can get in the sea for all I care - here's hoping for an awesome 2016 :-)
  23. I wouldnt take mine off the drive without my cam running. Absolutely. Have a front dashcam on the 03 & bought an HD front & Rear for the 380. Not taking any chances!
  24. Two MOT tester pals say that had hr done a 3rd test it'd have passed - showing a big drop between 1st & 2nd. In their words, find a friendlier MOT place next time because they would have passed it if the 3rd came in. Pouring a full bottle of forte or wurth fuel treatment into tank wouldn't hurt either.
  25. Going to assume your 05 DE is a UK spec car & not an import?
