  1. This sorry tale reminds me of the Midnight Purple R34 GT-R getting nicked from outside of a lads house in Livingstone. Thankfully a social media campaign traced the motor all the way down the road to Surrey where it was later recovered. Still to come to court, too. I hope the c@nt who took your car develops face-aids pal.
  2. That's a shame - it's always interesting when these cars turn up. Don't understand why more care isn't taken to keep the original import paperwork for rareladys like these & publish them with the advert. Maybe folk get a kick out of making people play detective!
  3. Thought this might be of interest to some; Road Angel Halo - normally £200 now £165 - dual camera system, very good reviews & can let the spec speak for itself :-) http://www.saverstore.com/product/20898827/ROAD-ANGEL-Halo-Dual-Front---Rear-Dash-Cam-DVR-With-16GB-MSD-Card

    Dash Cams

    Found post!
  5. There were only 300 units of the 380RS - most of which have been tracked to death, modified beyond recognition or even written off :-( Finding a pristine model in white with low miles was hard & yeah, price was a bit eye-watering. Mine is 161 of the 300 run.

    Need some new 19's

I have MPSS on the Zed now, but previously couldn't fault Eagle F1 AS2's on my old Celica. I got MPSS due to the Wedssports being 19" (couldn't get F1's in the right size) over the standard 18's it came with (with horrific tyres) What a difference decent rubber makes. On a related note, anyone ever run Potenza RE01's before? What are they like?
  7. Another Aberdeen Z-head - welcome!
  8. Must be the first one in the country I certainly haven't seen any on any other forums, so it might well be.
  9. Looks suspiciously like the Halford 200-piece Pro Tool Set lol I don't think I know any car-guys without one :-) Sweet looking lights Jeff, you ebaying the old ones?
  10. The thought had crossed my mind to do that with the stereo - seeing as it's pretty much going to be as useless as the GPS. I'll give it some thought Thanks
  11. The car in the sig is another import I own - an '03 track with yes, SA-55M wheels. The car I'm Importing is a Nismo.
  12. In most cases, I would agree with you. Not in this case, but most. Thanks G Its a jdm import, they have a ceiling price, working sat nav or not, it wont be a sale point and it wont get you more money than one without but, in interest of keeping it all oem, i understand The car I've bought is a limited edition & wasn't offered for sale outside of Japan. I don't plan on selling the car, but in order to maintain its value I was recommended by the friend who sourced it for me not to modify it too far away from the established spec.
  13. Nice one - once I get a proper look at the unit I'll message you with what the jdm navi model / unit is - from there I'll hopefully be able to to track down a suitable replacement Thanks a ton :-) G
  14. In most cases, I would agree with you. Not in this case, but most. Thanks G
  15. Hi BulletMagnet, thanks for replying. I feared it would be more complicated, but needed to ask. Appreciate that it's easier to swap out the old system for a more modern one, but I can't in good conscience modify that kind of thing - apart from detracting from the original spec, it would more than likely affect the value of the car, something I'm trying to avoid Thanks again
  16. Hi All, I'm importing an '07 Z33 from Japan & have trawled the forum a bit looking to glean some experience from other members who have looked into doing the same thing. As far as I can tell, the only company who used to offer the conversion service have since stopped trading / disappeared - I understand there are better Nav's on the market than the Birdpoo, but I'm looking to refrain from modifying the car too much from it's JDM spec- so replacing the unit with a cubby LCD is out. What I'd ideally want is for the unit to operate with the Japanese UI (i.e. Leave the hardware intact) but be able to navigate using EU /UK Maps. Is this possible by simply using a compatible EU/UK disc or is it far more complicated than that? Thank in advance for your help. G
  17. Won't find many in that kind of condition. The very first model! Dunno if I'd pay that kind of money for something I'd want to drive though - got to be offering it as a museum piece, surely?
  18. Going to assume this was Tom from Aberdeen's 370Z? Can't be more than one knocking about!

    Steering Lock

UH OH. I might be wrong but I seem to remember this being a major issue with 350Z's... OK I double checked, it's the 370Z that has an issue with steering lock failure. Is the steering wheel still locked now the car is on the ground? Whenever my GF locked the wheel on my old celica I gave her this advice. Try to put the key in the ignition, if it wont go in, turn the wheel in either direction, giving it a little wiggle while trying to put the key in. If you try that in both directions and it doesn't work, let me know.
  20. Looks tidy from the photos - UK spec model too :-) Enjoy!

    NS dot Com?

Thanks - It most probably was :-)
  22. I asked my Zed-owning friends this when I first got my Z33 - the answer was a unanimous "OEM intake is best" - hence why I haven't changed it.

    NS dot Com?

Hi Guys, Was hoping you could help me track down a forum / website simlar to ours that I've read about regarding a rare-import. The only clue I have is that the site/forum has been referred to as NS or NS.com? Does anyone know if that refers to a particular Nissan or 350Z site? I appreciated I haven't given you a lot to go on but any help is appreciated. Cheers Gary
  24. Thanks again guys & girls - gave her a good wash yesterday (no polish, fringe benefits of a satin wrap) so edited the pics this morning - if you see me out and about in Aberdeen, don't be shy, give me a toot, wave or a rev :-)
