They aren't cheap, and with a limited run of 300 they are only getting dearer. Prices in Japan at auction vary from 3,500,000 yen for a black one with low miles to 5,500,000 yen for a pristine ultra low mileage one in white. That's before shipping, duty, taxes & registration etc i.e. OTR 'Spensive.

Yep, stroked to 3.8l - Competition spec with exact same engine was tuned to 400PS - street version detuned to 350ps. Not bad figures for a NA zed.
  3. Black and Blue! Side milled spokes are almost impossible to replicate though, esp on something as narrow as Rays. Chirags wheels look amazing. That could work well with rays.
  4. I'd have guessed around £60k - they don't come up often, especially of the ltd 220 run
  5. It's £41,500 - they never have the price on the stat-sheet - only the index page. http://www.harlow-jap-autos.co.uk/uk-stock.html
  6. It's rare for a Japanese Car specialist to land an old italian classic, but thats exactly what they've done - FROM JAPAN too! Those of you with sharp eyes will notice the JDM wind defectors installed on the Lancia, sharper eyes will see something else lurking in the background ;-) http://www.harlow-ja....uk/HJA105.html

Had a valid "Shaken" (車検) before it left Japan & was guaranteed as "unmolested" by Nissan themselves so I'm confident it wont be rejected on anything serious. Little sneaky peek wont hurt, will it?

Just getting its SVA - be a thread on it once it's legal :-)
  9. Assuming you have a decent alarm / immobilizer, how do these things even get stolen? I know for a fact most thefts these days by the thieves getting access to the keys - I have no idea if this is the case here or not.
  10. A stolen midnight purple R34 GTR was recovered last year after an extensive social media campaign. I was pretty impressed.
  11. Motion detection is not going to be optical. If it was it'd drain your battery overnight by staying active. It will be activated via an inbuilt accelerometer - if the car is shunted and it feels movement it'll startup and start recording. Similarly, while active a shunt will mark the previous 20 seconds of recorded footage and the followong 30 seconds as "critical" and wont over-write it.
  12. I know that it isn't a Zed, but we love our cars just as much as they do and if our pride & joy had been pilfered, I'd hope the GTR mob would help us get our cars back http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/416913-gtr-stolen.html Also aware that I've taken someone else's post and created a new thread, but I think this deserves its own Topic
  13. Shared on Twitter & Facebook. Hope they get it back.
  14. You mean a something with the same stroke & bore as the GTR?
  15. That's right, he has a bayside Blue R34 GT-R VSpecII with a top secret built RB26DETT - I dunno about young but hes certainly younger than me haha! I was at ingleston in the same Club Turismo stand between the white TEG & the Micra Pickup. We had a sweet lineup :-) He's in oil & gas like me but more project engineering for subsea etc than the operation & maintenence side I do. If you're there this year come by and say hello, I think we're all going again :-)
  16. Honda NSX is an excellent shout for a fast, desirable, interesting car and not too far out of budget. I'm sure I saw Jurgen at JM selling an NSX last year that was at SCS for approx £36k http://jm-imports.co.uk/index.php/1990-honda-nsx-route-k-widebody-5-speed-manual/ Unfortunately the brother of the friend who has the Top Secret GTR has one already and would unfriend me instantly if I'd dared think of buying one!
  17. With the hard time I've given (bad) Audi Drivers in Aberdeen (Of which there are many) I wouldn't be able to live with the shame of driving one I'm afraid. RS6's are Superbly built cars though. Proper stealth-supercar.

    Wrap dudes

In my experience of wrapping my 03 satin black, I have never waxed it, only wash & towel dry it and only use a smidge of nanolex matte detailing fluid when I need to. The satin wraps actually look really good when they start to "gloss up" apparently, but I'm not at that stage yet with mine. Coincidentally - the matte / satin cleaning fluid has another, cheaper alternative that is fool proof. Window cleaner. I @*!# you not, that stuff is amazing and costs a fraction of the price. I accidentally sprayed some on my zed at SCS when doing the windows and it did exactly the same when I wiped it off. Top tip.
  19. Technically - thats exactly what I did buy instead! A whitey to go with blackie :-D
  20. Yep, weekend car, meets, shows, be enthused about. Enjoy relentlessly :-)
  21. Alternatively, you could just tape up the dashcam screen with some electrical tape if you felt that strongly about it. Richf just beat me to it lol.
  22. Just resort to adhesive. The 3m double sided stuff is not permanent and won't deface your car. I situated mine just in front of the rear view mirror where you'd have to crane your neck to see it. My mechanic didn't see it, GF didn't see it and better still, people looking in can barely see it.
