Ah yeah. Bgw. My old Celica had a modest factory spoiler and that somehow gave wee chavs in Micra's the impression I was up for a race. I'll have to put up with even more unwanted attention when the 380 lands. Not subtle at all in how it looks.

Comes with the territory. Had a fud in a porsche 911 turbo tailgate me and try to get me to race him once so this behaviour isn't limited to drivers with underpowered cars. My dashcam holds a compendium of horrendously discourteous drivers.

I was surprised by this as well, but after discussing it with friends this has been happening in Aberdeen a lot lately. Well compensated individual pays cash for his dream car only to be paid off 4 months later. Tragic but all too common. The figures don't lie, 2500 miles and 4 month old - what could seriously be wrong with it?

I must have arrived after that era. Everyone seems helpful & knowledgable. Plenty of idiots on the 350z Facebook pages making outlandish claims to kick-off at if that's your thing. Bear in mind there are a lot of Americans on those groups so adjust your expectations accordingly.

As taking custody of my new Toy approaches I'm finding lots of luxurious ideas to lavish her with once I have the keys. Has anyone ever opted to get paint protection film installed on their car? I understand that some people get partial coverage while others get full & hoped to gauge which is worth going for regarding both performance and cost. Thanks in advance for any advice forthcoming :-)

Just after lunch today I showed a work colleague a few photos of the 380 while it was being IVA'd. First Comment was "ooooh, VERY NICE!" seconds later "Looks a bit like a Porsche, dunnit?" (he's from Essex)

I like the look of the 2015 Nismo front end but also love the shape of the mk.1 The red fins are very reminisce of the 458 - very aggressive look :-)

Ha ha, this is awesome. I was approached by an Irish lad at my local petrol station just last week who seemed awestruck by my (black) car, wanted me to take a selfie of him with it (!) I cheerfully obliged but was a bit embarrassing at the same. I suppose the colour-scheme & wheels make the car look a lot fancier than it is!

Sounds like you've bought a total donkey. I'd seriously look at getting my money back and using it to buy a decent car from a reputable importer instead. The way the Yen exchange rate is just now I'd focus on getting my £ back as opposed to the equivalent in Yen Jurgen Vallons at JM Imports or Oz at Harlow Jap Autos are two of the best in the UK for importing JDM cars & they have a rich stock of cars ready to go in the UK between them Rick at RaceCarparts (trader on here) can find you anything (within reason) in Japan and has worked with both Jurgen & Oz. I'm a little confused. You say a 2002 Nismo Fairlady Z S-Tune? There were no official S-Tune Fairlady Zs released in 2002, if fact 2002 was the release year of the Z33 worldwide which means Nismo hadn't even gotten hold of one to start any racing development on. Where is the clicking coming from? If it was the front on a fwd car I'd say the CV joint, as its a rwd it'll be coming from the diff if its a similar issue. If it is the diff, topping up \ changing diff oil has been reported to silence it.

From my uni days studying fluid dynamics (the pompous, older sibling of aerodynamics) we covered aerofoils and manipulating the "angle of attack" was an oft quoted phrase when we wanted a bigger Cd. Applying a greater angle of attack to aeronatical engineering means an increase in the coefficient of drag - apply it to something that doesn't fly and its exhibited as downforce. While its certainly true that not all spoilers will generate sufficient drag to create downforce - with the right engineering it is 100% possible to do so, so I wouldn't discount the possibility that a well designed spoiler does exactly that.
